I like little interesting things in games that you have to be paying attention to appreciate. Here's a list of some that I will update.

Ideas: Comment on this topic with an idea, and I can add one of your ideas.

CheezeIsGouda: When a zombie, NPC, or player dies, a blood puddle slowly forms around the body, suggesting  they are bleeding on the ground. The size of the blood puddle and how fast it forms would depend on the type of weapon used to kill them and/or the severity of injuries on the body at the time of death. Which one is added, should depend on the games limits. (List of blood puddle size to weapon killed with: Fists: None/Very Small. Fork: Very small. Bat: Medium. Kitchen Knife: Large. Axe: Large, and so on.) Maybe a humanoid character stepping on the blood puddles or other blood decals would give that character bloody footprints for a short time, resulting in interesting player, zombie, and npc tracking.

CheezeIsGouda: When a player or NPC has a bleeding debuff, they slowly drip blood onto the ground.
Oops, bleeding onto ground from bleeding debuff is already added.

-snip-: Have the weapon in your hand slowly break in appearance as the quality goes down.

-snip-:  I think you should change the amount of blood dripping depending on weapon, into amount of blood dripping depending on the severity of the cut, you could kill someone with an axe, but there is no guarantee it will be a large cut.

malankatank: ...It would be cool when you swing the axe and one shot kill a zombie with a head blow, that there is a possibility the head could be lopped off.  Also along the lines of that you could hack off a leg (making a crawler (we shall call him Stumpy)) or take off an arm.

INoEmo: I think it would be pretty cool if, with some weapons, when it breaks it leaves you with something sharp (golf club stick with a pointy end where it broke, baseball bat handle that is sharp, etc) that you can stick in a zombies face for an insta kill, but you don't get it back.  It would be like one last "fuck you" to the horde as they start chomping down on you.

Thanks for reading, and please leave some ideas of your own, or any comments.

Though I hope there would be a way to cure this, as doing this all of the time, would result in you not being able to trust the game, having no idea what to do and if what you see is real. That's okay for a short amount of time, but there should be some kind of pills you can get at pharmacies or hospitals to go with these traits, or moodles, if they become that. Or at least you could bring the insanity down with nice things, like books and magazines. Maybe there would be a trait called Sadist, where your happiness goes up while killing zombies and NPCs, and so would your sanity. (Or maybe insanity?) If you get infected, you could bring the insanity to a whole new level. What I mean is, if you get infected and start showing the first symptoms, you could start giving a little bit more insanity as time goes on. Slowly getting more insane as you get more infected. It should go somewhat in this order: 1: You occasionally feel dizzy with blurry vision. 2: When you look at zombies, some of them look like an undead version of your character. 3: You start seeing dead zombies or NPCs as delicious, and want to eat them. 4: The moans of zombies start to sound like speech to your character. (Speech text will appear over their head saying things like: "Join us.", "Don't be afraid.", and "Come here.") Of course these things would only be hallucinations, because zombies can't REALLY talk.

    Idk, those are some ideas.

I agree, I love little details that add to immersion in games. I have maybe 15-20 of those kinds of mods for Skyrim. Do you know anyone that would be willing to make a mod such as this?

though it sounds simple. Something like this would probably crash the game. particle effects tend to be drag in performance of games. But its not even just that, its the processes required where for example you shoot at a horde. Zombie dies, splatters some blood, make blood splash, zombies walk over it creating a couple of hundred footprints. Boom, your computer explodes and you've set your house on fire. It's even worse in MP or with NPCs added. Considering NPCs don't really materialize unless they come in contact with players could also mean this is something you as the player would only experience.
And then to make it so that it doesn't make the game a possible lagfest it would require that footprints only occur when you step over blood. But that sort of defeats the purpose. The devs might be able to pull it off. But as a mod it would probably just lag your game.
I think the footprints thing has been suggested before though but, no harm done.

As for the blood splatters. Hmm, yeh Its more feasible, its just prettying up the game. It could be like a more gore feature you'd turn on for people into that kind of thing. Though technically if I was in such situation, the less blood the better since more blood splattering means higher chance of infection. But to each their own preferences

It sounds like amputation could possibly (?) be added into the future.  If it was it would be cool when you swing the axe and one shot kill a zombie with a head blow, that there is a possibility the head could be lopped off.  Also along the lines of that you could hack off a leg (making a crawler (we shall call him Stumpy)) or take off an arm.

I don't like this idea, because:

    1. You wouldn't feel ANY PAIN WHATSOEVER, if you simply wore shoes.

    2. No bricktoy in the whole street would have no chance of an NPC stepping on one.

    3. Various bricktoys enough to even be a slight pain in the whole street would be very noticeable.

    4. Not really worth the programming time to add.

    5. Who in hell would leave such things in the street to make a ''trap'', if you could even call it that.

    6. More usefull if you could just combine various bricktoys into a 1 tile structure that would reduce boredom when placed.

    7. If you just get the pain debuff, what's the point?

    8. Lego doesn't hurt THAT much, plus the pain goes away quickly.

    So there is my opinion.

But other than all that, welcome to the forums.
