  1. Same, I'm pleasantly surprised as I was skeptical of starting the series as Clementine. Also,
  2. Really? There are already more than 18k people playing it right now and the (official) peak today was 23,114. That's not even 24 hours after release. Shh you! If we simply pretend that it doesn't exist and look the other way, it will simply fade into nothingness! (Also, only 18k? Bloody hell that's quite low for DayZ)
  3. Found some high-tech mechs in Alpha, nicked most of their stuff which included titanium panels And also a might big cavern that went on for ages...
  4. If your not into mods for the DayZ mod, then I wouldn't be surprised. It essentially improves upon the mod in every way. Build-able houses, customizable cars, 600km map (most of which is water, but still quite large), custom zombies and blah blah blah to all the other features I can't remember.
  5. Downloading now, looking forward to trying this out.
  6. There was a time that I was looking forward to DayZ SA, but no longer. Unless its incredibly more sophisticated than DayZ Origins (which pushed the boundaries way past the original specs of the mod) I can't see it riding that hype train it rode when DayZ first came out any longer. People will still buy it, and yes, even the young whipper snappers, but I reckon its popularity has dwindled with time.
  7. Looking forward to playing this when I get bk, most of the beta reviews I've seen are positive.
  8. Sex is always good. Have you ever heard of the WoW! signal?
  9. She's gone mad with PoWeR!! *Sticks a syringe into Mash* There there, shhh... thats it, sleeeep...
  10. The Walking Dead was 2012 but that does remind me, I do actually have a Game of the Year... The Wolf Among Us. What an awesome game, and perhaps the only game I truly enjoyed this year. Regards to why it pains me, well their good games I just don't feel their GOTY material. X-Com may be a good game to those who might be new to the series, but as a fan of the originals I feel the game does a complete disservice to what the original was and captures none of the atmosphere that X-Com had in its day and having played it I think it employs cheap AI tricks that takes a lot of the fun and difficulty that the original was renowned for. I also have a pet-hate for developers who milk franchise names for what they are and attempt to lure the fans in. Operation Flashpoint, the Codemasters remake would perhaps be the more infamous milking of a known name.
  11. Do you mean the trade window? On Desura you can get copies back as long as they are redeemed. Did it myself when I was doing my giveaway on the old forums for a copy that wasn't claimed for 8 months. On Steam however I think the only way to get them back is if the gifter sends it back.
  12. It pains me to see those games on your list, Strider. For Project Zomboid, I personally don't think its up to that caliber yet. When its full potential is reached, perhaps then. In regards to my GOTY: None. It has been a really shit year for games as a whole with so many disappointing releases.
  13. Once you nail the basics its quite easy to get the hang of it. The in-game tutorial does do a half-decent job at teaching you most of the stuff. Also a guide here that you can use - http://z3.invisionfree.com/UrW_forum/index.php?showtopic=1651 Among others. Regarding an axe, you should be able to make a stone axe. Can't remember the requirements for it but it might be a slender trunk, a stone and some tying equipment. You can get slender trunks using a knife. With a stone axe I think you can also make a wooden shovel. Anyhow Unreal world is a hardcore survival sim and it isn't meant to coddle you other than help you learn the interface and the basics of the gameplay. After that your on your own. I'm still on my 2nd character (since I started playing URW) and I have it hard because my character was made before all the lovely stat changes came in for the characters plus I happened to pick the Drikki tribe which are shit across the board on everything they do. I only found this out when a friend of mine picked a different culture than mine and happened to mention all the lovely high stats he had. So yeah don't pick the Drikki if you want an easy start.
  14. The game has been out for a long long long long time, since the 1990's? So most of the potential has been reached, but certain changes are coming in including additional features.
  15. Learn something new everyday Although quite perplex on the misleading search results, because I searched for Trypophobia via Google and ended up with tons of images of what seems to be a skin affliction of some sort with holes in it, but majority end up being photoshopped images and a weird obsession about white masks... Then I read the wiki and it seems its got nothing to do with anything relating to skin diseases (although obviously a unfortunate side effect if you happen to have one) but Google is very misleading on the subject and almost seems to be deliberately trolling with its images of horrific skin pictures. I actually find the whole misrepresentation on Google more interesting than the phobia itself.
  16. My new Mun Lander: All the science equipment is tied to action groups. The only downside (besides weighing 9 tons) is that fuel is very limited so there is not much margin of error. Fuel wastage needs to be kept to a minimum.
  17. So I went back to the drawing board on my Lander, and came up with this - *separation It's designed to return from the Mun unlike the previous design. Only downside is that it has no energy banks, so it can't transmit anything bigger than 10 packets because of its limited power. Did this to keep the mass down and since its designed to return, having extra banks is a waste. It does have a capacitor in the event hat I need an extra boost. Its also got side mounted mini-boosters that last for about 6 seconds, giving it that extra fuel saving on leaving the Mun. Here's the payload rocket which has multiple separation stages -
  18. Yes, yes you are, you weird little alien. Now fly back home to whence thy came!
  19. Sounds like frustration? Or your not setting goals for yourself which could be it. I know I had a large stint of not playing it simply because there was no constraints. I'm playing with the Mission Controller Extended which in combination with career mode adds financial management to the game, causing you to be extra careful in everything you do and it also helps to learn the game also in small steps. It also gives you missions to do. Only problem with it is that it adds a lot of frustration when things go wrong and you can lose a lot of money if your not in test mode.
  20. To boldly go, where no lander has gone before... down a big effin crater. The red lines show where it landed, and subsequently tumbled down the crater for ages and ages and ages and ages...
  21. Liking the artwork, although the undergrowth textures seem to be heavily repeated.
  22. This is how I picture you; just before you ban someone..
  23. Well, after trying it out on a friends computer and watching him fail at it (he's never played any of the previous games) I can honestly say that X-Rebirth is another big disappointment. O well, it will certainly improve post-release but regardless of how many patches they can't revert the mechanics. They sold out the PC audience to accommodate the console market, which is fine in some respects but they really did a number on emphasizing 'For Consoles' part. Shame.
  24. I prefer these builds, everything is so much... harder
