  1. I agree, I was pretty surprised that you can't. Maybe it was just overlooked cause I really don't see how you couldn't rest in a tent, hell, you could just click the floor to be able to lie down on grass to rest, or benches. (Maybe you can on benches though already).
  2. Yes! Make an extra use for the shovel. Imagine building an underground base in the forest too, I hope underground is added in the future.
  3. Edit : Wrong post, ignore this message.
  4. I do have to agree that I find the game really easy most of the time and there is a lot of stuff that sticks out (even just tiny bugs and annoyances) that would spam the tracker if I were to report them. Anyways, I agree. I don't see how a chef for example could saw logs and instantly be able to make walls and chairs, doors, etc. Most of this is pretty accurate, I can choose something like a chef and not focus at all on cooking and become an amazing carpenter capable of building a fortress with farms and such that's impenetrable (at the moment since zombies aren't a threat when that's done). I don't think we should be locked out of the game in that respect but it should be a much slower progress to get there. If you get the supplies you really can make a fortress within about a week even if you're not a carpenter and then no horde ever comes so you're just stuck like that with not much to do. I really shouldn't have written this at almost 12AM, I'm prepared to wake up to my disastrous unrelated post in the morning, aren't I?
  5. Even better! My OCD would kick in if there were any grammatical errors though.
  6. Exactly, I've put a lot of effort into writing just two pages of my diary and knowing that it'll be gone if I die and I can die anytime I leave made me worry about my effort going to waste.
  7. I think this is would be a good feature for diaries you write of your survivors to be exported somewhere, possibly just in game and you could make a .txt out of it and it would make it much easier to share with people. Is there really any point right now of having them in SP only for your own amusement to read them? After you're dead, they're gone forever and part of the greatness of this game is hearing people's struggles and inevitable death, sure you could just make it up in memory and post it here, but it's not really got the same charm as having it in its original form and being able to read back on it at any time you want to. Pardon me if something is already in the game of this sort, it's hard to keep track of some things sometimes.
  8. And because of it we get bored, get cocky, go out looking for trouble and then get bitten. I agree, I don't find it as fun when once I've set up I have no challenge at all, the point of the game is that you WILL die, people do tend to forget that though. For example I'd love to survive a month, then wake up one morning and some big noise happens and I go out to the watchtower in my prison and see 150+ zombies coming, then it'll put my hard work on my barricades and fortification to the ultimate test. Even if while firing, 50-100 more came, it would be the ultimate thrill until the next time, maybe month in, month out and small little groups could come sometimes, just not very often. I want to never feel like I'm safe in zomboid. Or imagine you come back to your base and a horde is attacking the base and there's a group of survivors in there attracting them, that'd be an awesome scenario really, help the group then figure out why they were in your base. That's a good while off though. I'd say that's a good thing once we know that hordes can attack if a chopper flies over or a multiple shots are fired (also can't wait for the shots to be impossible to know whether it was the game or another character). Mostly the work we put into our bases never gets tested by hordes and it really needs to be addressed so we're never OP. This is a personal experience though, but I see most seem to agree with me on this too.
  9. It's pretty weird, anything I suggest doesn't need to be a wall of text and is just in the title. Anyways, whilst playing MP yesterday, I stumbled across this: So, them just walking against a, technically, invisible wall, ruined the immersion since it was water not guarded by anything and they could have easily fallen in, even if there were barricades there they'd probably stumble and fall over it rather than walking against it. So I would guess that when animations are in this would be part of it? If the water was moving maybe they could float along it, or, even as a player I could wade across it getting my trousers legs wet if it wasn't too deep?

Lots of people have reported optimization problems again I've seen, I've done one a few times (before the FPS update) and again on the tracker lately. Sadly, it's made actually me stop playing PZ altogether. :/
  11. ^ You shall not be insulted for your thoughts, Mr Penguin. No one besides someone who's actually killed will know what it feels like after killing someone. We're supposed to be ordinary people, not murderers. If you killed someone in self-defense, maybe you wouldn't immediately fall to the floor crying, however, if their wife, or girlfriend or whoever came to their side as they lay dying, and started crying calling you a monster for killing their beloved when they were only trying to survive, you would feel bad. I keep bringing up TWoM, but in the lategame for that, my one job was to get meds (dynamic, I failed) at all costs. I killed numerous people in self defense and not, just to get a bottle of pills a day. It's when the world gets in to chaos that everything goes to crap and going outside means you're stepping into the unknown, where killing is almost your only option. Having a group at that point would be a great help because the rest just end up not giving a crap because the world is not going to be the same again. Or we could do it almost the simplest way: Your character is YOU, you play how you want to, not how the game wants you to, and the NPCs can feel the effects in a random manner. I just want to be able to console my friends in the game if they are depressed and have the dialogue that makes me feel connected to them. I guess the major difference between TWoM and PZ in this regard, is you play as one person in PZ, the others, are others and have different views and opinions. TWoM you play as the entire group and they are pretty much set as their own views of the world and the situation.
  12. I felt happy in TWoM when I bashed in two elders' heads and stole their stuff. Don't ask. But it was at the base that felt like the game was saying "Think about what you've done". The dialogue made me feel rrally bad on top of it. I want to feel like I had a reason to kill in PZ, cause otherwise it'll just be me killing people if there are no serious consequences to my character, or my group.
  13. After playing This War of Mine and seeing how the characters react to the things you do... I definitely felt that it should be handled as depressingly as it is in TWoM. Stealing & Killing should hit you hard. Depending on who you are I guess, I don't want to lose control like in TWoM, even though I don't find it annoying I just don't think it suits PZ. Say you kill a person, you should get really depressed. When you get the time to actually think on what you did, like back at your base, and then start regretting your decisions with the text overhead. Then need to talk to someone to help you feel somewhat better and have the same type of dialogue overhead. Becoming broken could be fine, but have it almost impossible at that point to befriend and NPC, and be seen as a threat to any other NPCs instead of them killing themselves. It's up the devs at the end of that day, but I definitely hope it's not "Here, take some Anti-Depressants -- No more depression." It would be nice and very fitting for PZ to have a much deeper feeling of sadness and hurt from their actions when NPCs are introduced, yet still if you were on your own too. In TWoM those little dialogue pieces overhead that say "Stealing from people?! Is that how low we've become?" "Yesterday he/she was with us and now..." Makes me seriously feel bad about what I did, and of how risky I became. It honestly fits PZ more than I could imagine.
  14. Double post error, please delete.
  15. I got "barely able to move" after killing about three-five zombies. Axe. 45 framerate cap and 15 for lighting updates (if that even matters). I like the system in general but I think it definitely needs tweaking before settling on it. I mean, maybe when the stealth system is introduced the stamina will be less annoying than I personally found it now, because you'll be wanting to stay out of a fight and save your breath in case you get spotted, then run. But as of now I don't think it works so well, I walked out going for a looting run, zombies bunched together in a small group and I got exhausted way too quickly to the point going back to my safehouse would take 5 minutes of painfully walking while also getting chased closely. Definitely would like balancing because I don't like being forced back to my safehouse every three minutes without being able to loot. As I said, maybe with stealth it'll help balance but we can only wait and see for that, I would like a temporary balance or something else for now personally. Thanks for giving us a place and for giving us time for feedback on features than being "we're the devs, deal with it" type of devs we get sometimes. Have a Clyde.
  16. I tried B27 real quickly and noticed that you can not attack while walking, correct. Though in B28 it seems to have a delay in the input when you try to walk. Possibly caused by the 'recoil' animation when the gun is not loaded. Which wasn't in B27.
  17. Sweet, I love the recoil 'animation'. But is it a bug that we can't move and shoot? It feels rather clunky in my opinion, especially since the animation has to end before the character responds to input. Just want to see if I should report it in the tracker because I'm not sure if it's part of the overhaul. I just find it a little annoying personally.
  18. When did I ever say I didn't want it in the game? I never said you didn't want them in the game. I was making a completely different point related to the suggestion. Maybe the edit makes it better now.
  19. ^ Exactly. I really don't see a reason it shouldn't be in game, besides the animation(s) of climbing/carrying it probably being a PITA. But to use it to climb up a barricaded base or reach roofs without having to go inside upstairs (say there was a horde inside and the only way in was through the roof) A stepladder as well as a regular ladder would be useful because aren't we supposed to (hopefully) be able to strip batteries and other components out of alarms and other electrical equipment in the far future?
  20. I'd love this, though I don't think the developers will change from the way it is now. Nice as a mod though, which I'd definitely download to get straight into the action.
  21. I hope it's realized that my asking of the ETA was only kidding, I said that in small text. But I apologize for technically 'starting' this.
  22. In one mondoid, the devs stated they wanted to try and make the vehicles be 3d objects on the 2d world which will then drive 3d gamey, so they will not follow have set directions asdw and a+w or d+s and will instead drive in every single angle, the same way that aiming works right now. Dunno if that requires physics but im sure its different. That would be really nice, I mean a damage model for vehicles though, otherwise something of this scale wouldn't come close to being possible. I just wonder if the engine supports something like this, whether TIS do it or not I'd still like to know if modders could get their hands on making a project like this.
  23. Wtf with this video ? This is the worst thing France have ever made. It's... a mix of this (I think), unless you did then this is irrelevant. Back on topic! When is the ETA?! i'm kidding.
  24. Thanks, I still hate Arvo though! Why? I'm kind of curious about the hatred and the general consensus in this thread whether they hated him or not. I did steal from him but still, I just hate him. He's going to feel pretty stupid when he finds out... He's screwing with the wrong people! He's going to be feel really stupid when he finds out... He's screwing with the main characters!
