  1. 1) Items dissapearing. I dont know and I cant replicate the issue, but I had my entire journal collection dissapear, when I was moving items from crate to bookshelf directly. At another occasion, my propane tank dissapeared when I I tried filling my propane torch. Torch wasn't filled at standard amount of propane, so that might be a reason. 2) items jumping to zombies. I had several knives jump into zombies inventory from my hand, could be intentional, could be not 3) very unstable GPU usage. It jumps up and down. 4) problems with clicks. I play on laptop touchpad and I played on linux and windows and the problem is there anyways - clicking doesnt work sometimes when I move or sprint, so it is virtually impossilble to switch weapon on the go unless it is key-binded.
  2. Hi. I think, project zomboid could use a bit of a more alife experience. It feels so lonely without people playing with you. I suggest character speaking. We can already shout, but I d like to suggest some more talking, for example "I wish I didnt have to kill you","Or God I ve seen you once..", "lets see what we have here" and such. Maybe through same way we shout with words above character head or maybe by a console\separate console. Thanks
  3. I think that in some cases profession + easy stuff (aiming sshooting carpentry) do give a nice boost. As I said, its a one-time boost, which will seriously delay your other main skills (considering you don't play as carpenter all game). The system itself is wonderful and works well - first levels are aquied easily with that carpentry thing, but after that levels require tons of exp and carpentry will be maxed. (If you go all-out on carpentry). Even if you aquire profession skill point - after early game, you won't have skill points, because they would be in vital professions. You will have to decide what to take and what to not take. Anyways, yes, carpentry is probably easiest to max, however I don't get whats wrong with current system. And nothing wrong with some professions being harder to master - carpentry btw is the only profession, which doesnt require serious scavenging at all, everything else is like crazy hard (like farming) or not-so-often used (like cooking)
  4. The only way to get lots of exp with carpentry is to pick a starting profession with it. Yeah, with carpenter profession + up to 12x exp bonus and x1.6 with extra exp perk is nice, but really, its one-time use. Once you get carpentry up to lvl 10, it won't give any exp. Plus, you already wasted ~6 starting perk points on carpentry. Carpentry at lvl 10 won't give a lot of skill points. Their price increase over levels aquired too. Aiming and shooting give nice amount of exp too. Hovewer, you are mostly limited by your success in other areas. Eg. you maxed carpentry, have like 20-25 free skill points, but you have 4x10 vital skills and maybe ~12x10 non vital additional skills..20-30 points, dat overpovered? srsly? I dont think so
  5. Very nice thing to implement, I think just don't add bee keeping skill
  6. Ok, now we have electricity skill. I won't be able to keep it short, so.. First - city has its banks. Banks have terminals (not sure thats the right word), where you input your card and do things with your account and money. Next part - you use your money. I suggest we add several of these terminals over the city parts. As we can find cards now, and we have cashing machines in stores. High enough electrical skill would allow to hack these cashing mashines with credit cards found and get some coins and money, othervise almost unobtainable (see below). Paper money is 99% useless nowadays and can be used to start a fire, but coins are not for nothing. We have lots of vending machines with food (not 100% sure thats the word) all over the place and as of now, we just come and take several bottles or chips and forget it. But, this game isn't typical apocalypse, where we had several X (time amount) of wars and struggles and looting, we just found that everybody are zombies, so these vending machines ARE full of different food. PLENTY of different food. They can usually work as refridgirators too. So, we throw some coins there and get our food. That simple. oh, btw, we had wallets for long time, so.. another usage.
  7. Reason simple - because zombies move. ALL ZOMBIES MOVE. Hordes are just lots of zombies moving.. They travel this way. Its unrealistic that they don't move at all. Problem is, that you cant simulate wandering behaviour for each and single zombie - game alrealdy is heavy on cpu - the logical solution is moving horde, which is more like a huge single unit (in terms of behaviour), which goes here and there and thats it. Several moving hordes are nice. No, not just several - zombie patrols are what people mostly talk about. I read a lot of stuff and I believe, people want these zombie patrols so that player couldn't go off into a hell of a faaaaaar place and just be safe, kicking some zombie face now and then. HE should be found. And you should always be nervous. Because you know, that they will come. You don't know when but you know that you will be found. The whole game rotates around "being afraid" - scratching, sudden zombies, overweight..most of this is solved by living far. Thats why people want seeking zombie hordes
  8. Why crossbow..just bow. Its relatively easy to make, ammo is dirt cheap (the only trouble to get is the back part of an arrow, feathers or so) and the killing power is exceptional on mid range. We ll need bows only when we ll get animals though, as zombies won't give a ship about an arrow in their head
  9. Then you learn that the reason you re alife is that ur dad\grandad created this shit and the was some explosion in the lab and wind took virus, which went over the city and only you can stop this by planting nuclear bomb which happent to be just next door, in that lab and then you do it, get saved by some people with the helicopter and you learned the truth, that this virus with the help of an explosion did spread to near 20 km radius and other nations started the nuclear war and virus spread more and more with the help of radioactive clouds which helped it evolve and it went into the clouds and they spread all over the globe and humanity was fucked by your help and then BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ shit its morning what was I dreaming?..
  10. Most people say we CAN drink water from there and be ok, because our immune system or else takes care. I m not saying we CAN'T drink water from there, but: Regarding our game-centered thread, EVERYTHING SAID ABOVE EXACTLY POINTS "TAINTED WATER" DOES IT NOT?
  11. Thats my point exactly. You just can't drink water which was in a toilet for a month and be ok.
  12. I played in ssp without those traits and I kinda think that I don't see a positive difference. I feel like I wasted 8 points there. I could have got gymnast thing and something else and I think that would have been just 10x better
  13. Nothing hard - just renaming "carpenter" to "carpentry apprentice" Because he sucks at the beginning. No way he is a master-carpenter .
  14. Ofc its not as bad as in the bowl, but still, that water is hardly drinkable, as the top isn't being cleaned as kitchen, for example and water which stays there for a long time..just not drinkable
  15. Mostly this is noticable when you sneak around a large horde from like 15-20 meters distance and lots of zombies notice you. I took this skills to play more like a ninja-silent-style, but they hear me from hell of a range, see me from afar and this kinda makes me regret choosing these traits Yes, on default. And I wasn't bleeding or hurt or so.
