regarding the servers, will they be set up and run by TIS, or will we have to sign up for and host our own servers? and how will the mods work if on a server? i assume only people with the same mods could join your game, as it is in the game i mention below. (the other main game i play, farming simulator 2013, made us sign up for servers thru hosting companies unless we had an in house server we could run and maintain ourselves.....really, Giants blew that part REALLY bad)

for what its worth, i have been playing the game using a Logitech Rumblepad. and it works just fine, until the character sleeps. after that, all buttons on the controller fail to work, except the A/1 button which will trigger the sleep cycle as many times as i want, in a row. whether the character is tired or not. if it helps, let me know and i'll send you a copy of a savegame after a sleep cycle so you can see if anything in the game helps figure this out.

good questions, same things i have been wondering about. i would imagine sleeping could be on a rotating shift, so you always have at least one person in your group awake and watching for bad guys.

to be fair, that bike could have a purpose. looks like it would haul quite a few logs, planks or gas cans. but the cart would need some wider wheels if it had to go off pavement. at least 8 inches wide would be best so it does not get bogged down in soft dirt and the weight gets spread evenly. but it's biggest problem is the noise one of those carts make. i cannot imagine anyone in here has yet to push a cart like that at the grocer, so you have all heard the racket those things make when you hit the parking lot. there may be a way to quiet it down by wrapping it with something..................cannot think of what would do that though.

we are talking about a human bite here, not an animal. the zombie may be able to get a decent grip, but our necks are not really strong enough to "ragdoll" another human being the way a dog does with a toy. plus, as was mentioned, we really don't have that strong of a bite. certainly not when compared to animals. so i don't see how the zombie would actually be able to bite down on something such as denim or leather and cause the type of damage you suggest. if we were talking bare skin, maybe. but i've seen quite a few bites where all that happened was some bad bruising. a zombie trying to actually pull, tear or rip human flesh that is confined inside denim or leather would not be able to actually pull it far enough to rip or tear before the fabric was stretched to the point it would not give any more slack. which would lead to one hell of a nasty bruise. which can in fact be a detriment to the person being attacked as that really limits the use of that appendage.

now if we could just set up on a second story roof or balcony and snipe the darn zombies, that could be interesting

this sounds great, i was missing having an aluminum baseball bat. but a few items i am unsure of, like what is the difference between the fire axe and a tactical axe? or the ALICE packs. i like the selection of guns, that HK MP5A3 - 9x19mm Luger could be quite the fun horde clearing item

lol, i'd have to have a character named Bobby Flay then, instead of my usual Mickey and Mallory Knox (Natural Born Zombie Killers) but seriously, that's a good idea. but the recipes would have to compatible with campfire cooking, for later in the game. and of course, we would need to know which animals will be showing up in the game.

maybe i missed a recipe somewhere, but exactly what can we do with potatoes currently? i tried baking one, wound up sitting in that kitchen for a full day and nothing happened. i see french fries in the list of food in the Necro Forge mod, but have never found a way to convert the potato to raw fries

that cart bike looks like a death sentence. no way would you be able to escape if you came across a horde and you had zombies closing in on all sides. darn zombies notice you sneaking by even when you are doing your best to be quiet, the noise that would make would be like ringing a dinner bell, they would all come shambling over to see what was going on, and who they were eating tonight. gotta remember, zombies seem to maintain one of the most annoying human habits, they are still Rubber Neckers. if they could drive, they would be just like so many other annoying motorists who just HAVE to slow down and look at any diversion on the road, be it a cop giving a ticket, a motorist changing a flat tire, or an accident. just as they do with an in game Meta Event. someone fired a gun? lets go find them. helicopter overhead? lets go find it, maybe get a free ride.

personally, there would be no way i would go into an underground bunker with only one way in or out. not only would claustrophobia and panic attacks become a daily occurrence, but the odds of getting trapped in there would have an even worse effect on my mental health. throw in the chance of someone who was with you starting to freak out at the same time you are freaking out and you get a very real risk of someone getting killed. then while the others remove the body from the shelter, even more risk of being seen by raiders, other survivors, or zombies. can't stay down there forever, eventually you have to go topside for one reason or another. and having been isolated as you were, you really would not have any idea what had been happening, where the hordes may be, if someone was searching for survivors, if napalm had been used to wipe out the bigger hordes.......... the isolation may turn out to be the exact thing that kills you. if the shit ever does hit the fan, i'm making a run into the high mountains of Utah in the Strawberry Reservoir area. live on rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, crawdads and kokanee salmon on a big island in the middle of the lake.

along these lines, i wondered why we cannot grab the metal garbage cans that are everywhere and use those to build a fire in. certainly is something that happens everyday, all over the world. just move them out to your garage or shed, no worry of the coals getting accidentally kicked around.
