  1. Give us both options, They stay in during the day or night. They are more active at night, or more active during the day etc.
  2. While I don't deny a psychological response to everything that happens trauma only forms if you are unable to find a way of coping, its when you can't cope and the stress continues to overwhelm you causing trauma. Fun fact if you experience a big enough trauma during or before puberty you have a high chance of becoming a psychopath.
  3. Ok, kid. You're just in the age when nobody gets old, neither ugly or tired. You'll see kid! if there's not a zombie apocalypse in next corner, you'll be 20, 30, and EVEN 40 years old. And then, you'll feel young and the seventeen kids... will be just kids. Dont' say that is an unneeded feature until you get enough old to find the differences. Did you really just call me a kid 3 times? Yeah, i did, but i think i could use the word "Boy" or something else. I'm spanish and sure i used the word wrong, i just wanted to say that young people think they will be never old, but older people also plays videogames, in fact, we were playing VG's since... damn! since your father did (not an offense, just reality)! Anyway it's my fault by two reasons: I have a teenager girl and i often have to remind her that "she's not enough old for that and those and blahblahblah"... and second (but not least) reason... never, and it means NEVER try to discuss with a teenager about a matter of age LOL. But hey boy (or kid, or toddler or whatever)... let 25 years to pass and you'll see what is a kid for you. Just wait ^^ hehehe. So don't be upset, just tell me if "kid" is an offense for you (or maybe in the whole english language) and i could use another word, or is simply the fact to have told something related to our ages. In the first case i can learn another way to say, less offensive. in the second case, i can't do much for it. Anyway you commented first about the ages. There are many things i DON'T do with a 17 old person: - To give them cigarettes or pot - To invite to alcoholic drinks - To show them porn It would be obvious, isn't? Then why i had to deny so many times? There's an obvious difference between me and a teenager, and also when i was a teenager was an obvious difference between me and my father. To the admin Nasko, i say the same, if there's a better word, less offensive or whatever to call the young people, i would be proud to learn it. If not, people may not be mad. I can be upset (not actually) with a young when he just complains about a feature simply because he doesn't fit into his age. This is WAY more excluding than a word like "kid". And the grumpy grandpa thing... i better save it for the roleplaying !!! i hope not to hear the word "grandpa" until the next decade!!! I don't want to say I am offended but I am deeply enraged everytime I hear it. I assume the point you intended to make is I didn't understand old age because I am not old age..?
  4. "I would say Americans don't buy things they have no reason to have but eh.." Yeah I clearly said that. Look how convinced I am of what I said, and how the but eh.. part signifies how true that statement is. Not sure why you think we will just have ammo and weapons lieing around during a panic like this, this is literally one of the first things people are going to take. You would be lucky to find anything a few hours after it starts.
  5. No one mentioned forcing to be a certain age, I said putting in your own age forces your ingame person to be a certain way. The idea of age in this game was flawed at its conception, it should work to the extent of simply being a number and nothing else.

    SMG, MP

No one in Kentucky owns an M4. They all own AR-15's and stuff. M4 is illegal. I didn't really know anyway.
  8. You lost me at the dissecting zombies and leather coat etc. Fine with the rest though.

I think you mean to suggest adding a MP5 to the game, but I don't see how anyone would ever own those. I think they are more likely to own an M4 or something.
  10. Oh good let us micromanage something that was setup not to be micromanaged. I can't see this being annoying to deal with at all.
  11. Why does it need a 3rd use, it isn't some critical or important item. It's a cleaning product and does just that.
  12. Well at the moment their is no Walmart in the game. And um, I would say Americans don't buy things they have no reason to have but eh..
  13. Popular opinion isn't always the best opinion. A lot of people wanted to cover themselves in zombie guts as camo but that was just stupid and confirmed no after getting constant barrage of suggestions about it every day.
  14. Not everyone knows what area looks like by memory alone. Right. But either you are downtown or in a suburb. This isn't difficult to remember. Dense city and Loose neighborhood. What really changes knowing where you are from the start as opposed to a minute or two in?
  15. The effects of zombies wouldn't. The effects of being alone would for -some- people. Realistically if we were to have some mental issues early on it would be the stages of grief over the apocalypse, but unfortunately this game doesn't start you at the beginning of the apocalypse so it wouldn't make sense that your guy is just now coming to grips with what happened. But I can say zombies, killing zombies, killing bandits etc. Wouldn't mess you up as much as you think, because a lot of mental issues usually conflict with what is considered normal, and at this point that is all normal for survivors to be doing, so you wouldn't view it as a problem and think you are insane.
  16. I um. How don't you know where you are when you start? You are either downtown in West Point or in a house in Muldraugh? And if you can't tell from the starting position you literally just walk up the road and figure it out right away.
  17. Who gets depressed eating during an apocalypse. I don't think starving kids in Africa sigh everytime they get handed some food. No matter the quality.
  18. As someone on a craptop I am against the idea of making this game run worse. But I know we might have lighter ways of achieving the same effects, and honestly it might be as simple as making zombies roam in groups a bit more often like they used to.
  19. It was the goal to make it as close to real life as possible, which is why the map is a carbon copy of the area.
  20. It technically is in the game. But everything surrounding panic right now is a mess of bugs, poor implementation and bad game design. That moodle needs a rehaul to the highest degree.
  21. Would it be reasonable to believe a doctor would know how to do that? Then you could tie it to a perk that only the doctor has. But why would you? If they said no to curing zombification I don't think they will let anything ingame reduce the chances. According to sirtwiggy, there already is: Cleaning and bandaging the wound QUICKLY is reducing the chance of infection. I have not verified this by code, but twiggy is one of those "usually well informed sources". Also, even if we're not talking about the zombification, "normal" infection is still there. I think he means normal infections. I don't recall anything to lower zombie infection chances at all. But even still why bother using bleach when it has downsides, when just bandaging and cleaning a wound like a normal person has no downsides?

  23. I don't mean to like ride my ego, but I still laid down a solid reason this idea of adding age (with affects) was just flawed at its conception. I will point out from before that adding aging in this game is a feature 99% of the players won't ever see, considering how rare and difficult it is right now to survive a year. Putting time and effort, balancing etc into a feature no one will see is a waste. And what is the real gameplay addition to this? What makes this fun? I go to video games to escape reality why would I want the effects of aging to be apart of my experience? Roleplaying reasons be damned, this is my character and I won't have the game decide he is going to be slow and brittle at 45. No one should be punished for whatever age they make their character. I think that you personally don't think it's fun, and that's fine. We have made our reasons why we think it's fun, and we see that you don't think so. We're not trying to convince you in particular that we should add this feature, we are simply suggesting it and giving some reasons. And the point of suggestions is to start with an idea and mold it through community feedback into something better. If an idea isn't going to hold water when reasons against it are mentioned then it probably shouldn't exist, if you prefer to just obtain from any negative reaction why bother suggesting it. Better off as a mod.
  24. We have another post with machete in the title on the front page. You haven't really added anything to the suggestion, like spawn points, damage, etc. http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/13695-ladders-machetes-fire-extinguishers-and-more/
  25. If we get spawn locations up near the mall developments, then I would consider that area another 'town'. Plus with the upcoming map expansion we will have at least another 'town'. Random option for spawning somewhere in the four 'towns'. If it ain't a town in real life it won't be a town in the game. And again, flip a whatever has 4 sides.
