  1. I am also having another server issue. When hosting a server, it goes through all the necessary loading prompts, but gets stuck at connecting. Infinitely. I loaded for 30 minutes yesterday and nothing happened, and again the same thing. Here is the link to the text in my console.txt file https://pastebin.com/qLRXJHmU if anyone decides to look at it. Was just working fine until IWBUMS build 40. Thanks in advance. Also, the raw file if anyone prefers that console.txt
  2. I think equipping the water bottle was implemented intentionally, but I can second that having more than one water bottle at a time messes with filling them up. I have one water bottle that is filled all the way at appx. .23 units, and whenever that bottle is in my inventory, it tries to fill that one up infinitely and fills no other bottles up. I haven't tried drinking it all the way, but I do know that I had it in my inventory for a while and I always saw that it had the same number of units of water. Will do some tests rn. Will also test the headlights issue people are having.
  3. Just disable NoClip I honestly don't know. Is it a building you built or an actual house? Maybe the game doesn't register your house as a completed building and thinks that there are some parts of it that are outside, so it was like "Oh hey, maybe I can put some zombies there." Has it only happened the one time?
  4. They didn't just break in from somewhere?
  5. Thanks for the info, I'll disable them one-by-one and will report back promptly. EDIT: It was indeed PumpPower, so thank you friend. Sorry for being an ass earlier but I was frustrated. I'll keep in mind disabling my mods in the future. Have a nice day and thanks.
  6. Thar she blows. I just wanted to make sure someone would look at it before I sent it. console.txt If anyone would prefer the actual text as a post as compared to the file, let me know and I'll just post that instead.
  7. Well, I have given info on my bug. But in case you're not too sure, I have a server issue, I had to download the two files related to the bug where hosting a server gave the message as having the wrong password, and when loading in, when the text reaches the "This is How You Died" part, the game says "an unknown error was encountered", or something around those lines. I also said I could post the console.txt file where the error logs are kept, but no one responded so I assumed my post was ignored. Any other information I'm as lost as you are. Thank you for the feedback though.
  8. Has anybody else gotten the error message for trying to host a server? TIS directed us to this thread to post bugs, and I really want to contribute to helping out with the weather, but can only get limited input by myself, and also want to see the new multiplayer chat. I have to switch back to the public release to play with friends, which is kinda tedious to do, but I just want some consistency. I want to help. This game is great and TIS have been putting a lot of effort into it lately and I really appreciate that, but there are so few posts here about bugs (one so far, not including my two) that it makes me wonder why I even posted here to report them. I could've just made a steam thread with all the other ambiguous topics and complained about it there. So please, if anyone else has the bug that I mentioned, post it so they see it. I can't be the only one, and I really would appreciate some help, please. Thank you.
  9. The sounds of footsteps on wood are cutting out and having issues both while walking and while running. consistent throughout multiple saving and loading in of my save. I also have a server problem. I as well had to download the 2 files that were linked a few posts above mine, but at the end of the "This Is How You Died" loading screen, the game says it encountered an error and it crashes. I located the console.txt file and could link that if need be, but really want to play multiplayer on this build.
  10. You misunderstand I think. I wasn't saying add SPIFFO because of the D&D reference, I was simply saying not to say that something from another game is a horrible idea just because it's from another game. I realize that. But like I said, if you read the second part of my comment, you will realize that you and I are basically on the same page, so there was no need to rebut what I had said with exactly what I had just said. You feel me?
  11. please read my comment in it's entirety friend, you will see that what you said is exactly what I just said.
  12. Good composers borrow, great composers steal. Just because it's an idea for another game doesn't mean that it would be a horrible idea. Just think of how many games label themselves as RPG's but have you play a main character with skills that you upgrade. The true RPG that most people know is Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) and many games have taken that system and expanded on it. And I do mean MANY games. It is a fine idea friend. I think, though, that the devs designed the game so that people who persist long enough are rewarded with the ability to learn all things. Having a SPECIAL system in this game would require a kind of "re-work" that would render a lot of the skills and professions useless. They do it for role-playing reasons and to take that and put it on the sidelines so-to-speak, in place of a trait system that is basically only rewarding in certain areas, would be really counter-productive. Each skill in that game has a place, and each person basically should have to learn each skill (besides shooting, etc.) in order to survive. Being proficient in S in SPIFFO would only get you so far, as you have to be proficient in all areas to survive, especially by yourself. If the game were multiplayer only, this would be a damn fine idea, but as it stands, I don't think it would be practical.
  13. I second this. Any container that has space should be used to store water, but I think only metal ones should be used to boil it. They're the only things that get hot enough without breaking. Ceramic bowls would crack under flame within 5-10 minutes. I keep my bootles on my feet, thank you.
  14. There is quite the wonderful mod on the workshop called makeshift axes that allows you to remove the heads off of broken axes, craft new handles, and assemble and sharpen the axe-heads with stones and a belt for a final durability increase to 100% Paired with a mod that allows you to chip stones with other stones instead of getting 100000% lucky enough to find a chipped stone.
  15. I think as of right now, smell is still not implemented and is a broken mechanic.
  16. I know that if you're near a mass pile of dead zeds, you have an increased chance of being sick. While being a cool addition to the game, I think it's more like a high risk, low reward type situation. Even when just starting the game, there are really big chances of running into large mobs, so adding this would be kinda broken if there's even a small chance of being infected that couldn't be combated with ordinary means. I think some justifications for this would be the ability to craft makeshift masks and other breathables that reduced the chance of infection. I second this. Off by default, though.
  17. I really like this idea. Especially the aspect of being able to push them. I was just thinking the other day "wouldn't it be nice to have a wall of cars as a barrier so zeds couldn't get through??" and being able to push and tow the cars would be a big help, because the hot-wire ability would be kinda outa reach for those people who aren't well versed in the basics of car maintenance.
  18. I think what Trombo is trying to say, which I second, is from a developmental point of view, "cool/standard" wouldn't really be enough to warrant the motivation to implement a wind and gusts system. The amount of time it would take for something like this, no matter how long or short, just wouldn't really be worth it to a lot of people. It would just be them focusing their time on something that has no impact to the game when they could be focusing on something else in the game that needs attention, like how in the current IWBUMS version, you can't connect through steam and have to use the direct server connect. I don't think he was being negative either, just being optimistic and real.
  19. I just recently started using the controller to play PZ, and let me say I love it. Everything about it is great except one thing: placing things in containers. So often do I have to tediously press A to bring up the item options, press A again to select the list of containers, and then move my option down to the specified container to move it. When you're coming back from a big trip and have many items, ESPECIALLY now that you can have big vans and pick-up trucks to load stuff in, the last thing you wanna do is spend just as much time moving items into storage as you did finding the items. While taking items, X (or SQUARE) is used to quickly grab items from a container to whichever inventory you're in (main or hiking bag, for example), but pressing X with an item that's in your inventory doesn't do the opposite as you'd expect it. Instead of easily transferring that can-opener and pot that you've just grabbed, you come to realize that pressing X places items ON THE FLOOR! Changing this to a quick-grab, quick-place system would be amazing. X to grab and to place would just make life easier, there's no arguing really. If you wanted to drop something you could just select "drop" from the item options in your inventory. Another thing that has an edge over the controller version right now is the ability to select multiple things and transfer them with a click and drag, just like files in explorer. The ability to select multiple things with the right stick being clicked in could be a wonderful addition to the game. The cons of the current system are really just that of being too slow. You all have done a great job with controller optimization and I really feel like there's nothing left out like with some other controller support additions to other games (ehem Ark, The Forest and Subnautica), but the lack of a sufficient inventory management system in a game that expects a good control of inventory management, could quite literally be the breaking point for some people (again Ark, Terarria, Starbound). With the case of terarria though, they learned their lesson and added a system where you could quick-place items into chests that already had the same item, and they separated items into categories, gave the categories all different colors, and made it easier to store things in an organized manner. All in all, the switching of functions for the quick-grab button would definitely give the controller version the edge it needed to be the preferred option, because who doesn't like to game while sitting or laying comfortably in a couch or bed? Anyway, keep up the good work. I'd love to hear some feedback on this from whomever sees it.
  20. I've been waiting for the vehicles beta for a while. Now that it's moved to IWUBMs, I've been able to (with a worrisome-free conscience) test it out for myself, and let me say that I love it. I makes traversal much easier and adds an element of protection when being overrun. The only problem I'm having is that I cannot launch a multiplayer server through Steam for my friend to connect to. It's stuck on the "Loading World" screen for an indefinite amount of time. I had it up for about 30 minutes before I ended it the first time, and 10 minutes the second time. Also, the game doesn't close properly after having tried to launch a server, and I'm forced to close Steam and restart it. I have a feeling this could be a system-specific bug, but I would like to see if anyone is able to reproduce this. I haven't looked anywhere else for this bug, by the way, I've only posted it here. Thanks in advance. P.S. I posted this in another thread that i though was this one, but alas it wasn't. So pardon for a duplicate post.

    Vehicle IWBUMS

Edit: A wipe of the server did the trick. For those who play multiplayer, the new server config files aren't compatible and it gets stuck loading them from disk and never completely finishes. Just wipe the server presets and delete your character to be safe. It's a pain, I know, but it's the only thing that allowed me to join. I've been waiting for the vehicles beta for a while.
