  1. I get that why zombies respawn, I really do, but an incident my character recently encounter just doesn't make sense. I've made the school in Rosewood my base, and have blocked of the low parts of the fence that lets zombies get behind the school. I just went out and found zombies in said space. I checked to make sure no windows were broken through and that my barricades hadn't been broken, and found that the just popped up out thin air. Things like this kill the realism for me. If you could fix this, that'd be great.
  2. I didn't think there were that many alarms in-game! True, there would be lots of that in the first couple of days, but I don't think it'd be as common as it you day it'd be. Hadn't thought of that though, interesting take.
  3. Stuff like this would be nice, also maybe sunglasses and ballcaps to reduce glare or something.
  4. Nice ideas! Yes, i love this idea. It would make sense to be a sandbox option. This is a nice idea too. I had originally suggested this because I was in my house in game and managed to read 3 1/2 books in one night, without any lights on. I realize it's handy, but I also realized it's not that realistic, and I like realism in games like this, which is one of the reasons I chose to buy Project Zomboid with my xmas money from last year.
  5. The title sums it up, but maybe have certain skills impaired by operating in darkness.
  6. Yeah, this time i didn't get to explore that much, but the only ones I found were from after they broke down the doors and windows. Maybe, but I've been through the school a few times, and every time what parts I am in have no zombies except for the ones following me, for usually I get chased into the school instead off going there to loot or scout.
  7. Whoops, you have a point about the clock thing, my bad, but on the zombie front, I NEVER find a zombie in the school, never! I have even tried to make it my base once, I failed later on, but I found zero zombies on exploration.
  8. I'm Pretty sure he spawned in West Point, and it's only happened once to my knowledge to him, but the same thing happened to another friend of mine too.
  9. My current character is currently barricaded in a class room, and I noticed two odd things. 1). On the way to the classroom while searching the school, I found absolutely no zombies. 2). Even with the clock on the wall, I didn't know what time it is. As far as the zombie thing, put some freaking zombies in the school! Even with the no zombie children stance (which I understand btw) you could still have zombified teachers and others that wandered in. As for the clock, as long as the power is on you should be able to tell time if a clock is in the room. If the power is off, then the clock on the top right corner should say what time it was on the clock.
  10. I like the idea. I always thought it'd be nice to spawn in as an Asian or Hispanic, or maybe with tattoos.
  11. I like the idea as an option, but not as a standard thing. the Nyctophobia thing I think would almost be a given at night anyway for just about any survivor, I know I'd be terrified of the dark. There is a mod similar to this, can't remember what it's called, "Fear the Rain", I think. Anyway, in it zombies are terrified of rain, and try to seek shelter indoors.
  12. When ever I take down curtains from another house to use in mine, they always turn into sheets. Think of it as this: when you take of a shirt, it stays a shirt right? Same with pants, shoes, and other items. Why isn't this the case with curtains?
  13. I went to Tulsa a few years back to visit my uncle, and a lot of the homes had bars in front of the windows to prevent thieves from breaking in. Something like that would be nice to have.
  14. Seriously, they need a use for screws! What I was thinking was have screws be tougher than nails, such as when barricading. Still using the barricade example, screws would make it harder to pull the boards out, meaning that zombies would have a harder time taking them down.
  15. sounds great! I made a topic similar to this a while back, but without traits and stuff. If you could maybe do something more with some of these, that'd be great.
  16. I like this idea. The forest is a bit immersion breaking. Here are my suggestions from being an outdoorsman. 1.) Put in a few tree stands or hunting blinds. 2.) Put in fence rows. Many property lines cut through wooded areas. 3.) I agree with the random bear trap, but make them a bit rare, and noticeable if you pay enough attention 4.) More open spaces. At least some semblance of small animal trails would be nice. Animals such as deer often make narrow clear spot through the woods, and were they can have tall grass and some weeds, they generally aren't choking with trees. 5.) Animal carcasses here or there are reasonable 6.) Animals such as deer and other animals you can shoot be on screen and move like zombies, can be eaten by both humans and zombies. Hydrocraft has good examples of what I mean. 7.) More noise! The woods is a lot quieter than the city, but there is usually always some noise, whether it be birds chirping, tree rustling, water flowing in creeks and streams, and other background noise. 8.) Finally, briars. They are in every woods and can slow you down and cause you lots of havoc and issue.
  17. Dehydrating meats and other food would be nice. We've made venison jerky and apple chips with a dehydrator. The apple chips are surprisingly really good.
  18. My current character is in the middle of the summer, stripped down to his underwear, and is still overheating. My suggestion is that air conditioners be something you can turn on like a stove to cool off. Also portable things such as heaters and fans would be great too. even being able to pour water on your head to cool down would be nice, anything to give my poor character some relief in the hot hot sun.
  19. Yeah, great customer service! Thanks for taking notice, I had wanted to try setting up a base there but almost every time the walk there either kills me or gives me severe injuries.
  20. I'm not sure why this isn't an option already, but please make Dixie a spawn point!
  21. I was in Dixie, and was getting ready to loot some trailers. The one next to the one I was staying in had been broken into by zombies, I had watched them break in the night before, but alas, the only noise was the window breaking. I then removed the glass the next day, and waled inside, only to have a house alarm go off. As the title says, Zombies should trigger house alarms just like people.
  22. yes, sounds wonderful! Are padlocks a thing? if so, they would be very useful
  23. Sounds good! Another suggestion I have while were still on the topic, is even if it doesn't have a physical affect, maybe stuff like showering and brushing teeth could have an effect on npc interaction. People are more likely to trust a clean saved guy than the smelly dude with rotten teeth.
