  1. Sometimes when I'm playing Zomboid, the window will close for no reason, leaving me helpless against zombies until I'm able to open the window again. Could a feature be added that pauses the game when the window is not up on your screen (i.e; minimized)?
  2. I attempted it once. It was a long process and I died before completion, but it worked well to keep out zeds. I just had to clear them out occasionally. As for my favorite base, that'd have to be the apartment above the hardware store in West Point. I've survived up there for three months so far and I find that after a while, the area stays pretty clear.
  3. This is sweet! Now, safe houses with the second floor cut off become way more dangerous because if you don't stock up on sheet ropes/protect your sheet rope exit, you become stuck. This is great for balance, I think.
  4. Phew! Glad that my password for this was and is unique. Thanks for letting now about this so soon you guys!
  5. I think EasyP, but I'm not positive.
  6. It might also be possible that the devs who work on map creation are also working on another project, but still have a little time for map creation. It's probably more manageable to create a small section of map rather than a huge addition.
  7. I had two filled up blowtorches as well as a bunch of the metal pipes, sheets, etc. When I hovered over the metal furniture, it said I had the right skills and tools, so I tried to build a metal shelf, then a metal crate. The shelf showed where it would go if built, but stayed red as if I didn't have the ingredients. The crate placement image did not show up at all.
  8. Just tried out the IWBUMS RJ; everything is looking awesome! Just a few things to point out though. I've tried building the various things and I cannot seem to build any metal furniture even though I have the required skill and ingredients. Also, the pole fence does not orient its graphic to the way it actually is in game (i.e; the fence looks like it goes north - south, but actually exists east - west invisibly. That's just what I've found so far though. Also, love the new litter mechanic!

    Die in Style

If you find a zombie wearing this shirt and you turn it into a crawler, you can hear it mutter unintelligibly in French.

    Die in Style

Just a thought, but could be possible that certain clothing triggers certain responses in game? For example, a person wearing camouflage clothing could have a higher sneak bonus when near trees. Someone wearing firefighter clothes is less affected by fire. Wearing dark clothing at night improves stealth. This could be like a reward for players dressing strategically. On the other side, this all looks awesome and I can't wait to see it!

    Night Terrors

Sweet! All this fear is welcomed. Just a thought, but could it be possible that neglecting your mental state leads to nightmares, which wreck your sleep and cause other negative effects, which cause even more issues? Failure to stave off depression could destroy your character physically (through exhaustion. Also, depending on how effective these arcade games are, it could be worth running a generator to use them in the late game. This is all looking promising!
  12. Yeah, like that. I would imagine that if a person ran around slowly becoming more and more soak with the flesh of things that used to be people, he/she would slowly lose their sanity.
  13. It would be interesting to see if going for a long while without washing off blood would result in sickness or psychological issues. I also noticed the corpses shifting as you walked over them in the video; could possibly trip over bodies if we're not careful in the future? This is looking awesome you guys, so thanks!
  14. Those bars have some interesting potential applications. Could you possible stab or shoot through them? If a house has these bars, do you need specific tools to break in? On multiplayer, would these be a way to trap players who have been relieved of specific tools? Properties unique to certain barricades are an interesting concept.
  15. Holy... I am lost for words. How have you built in the middle of Muldraugh without getting swarmed!? You must truly be a master.
  16. Screwdrivers are good, but I think that the durability of the hunting knife is higher, so I use it more. Personally, I use my axe more often because it allows me to knock back more zombies if I open a doorway and 2+ come rushing out. I've had quite a few character deaths where one bites me while his buddy gets knifed.
  17. Yes, books would be awesome. Sadness is wept for their loss. This method does work if you're dedicated though, as I'm almost at Lvl. 2 Electricity already with no previous points in. However, I do think that either more stuff should dismantlable (laundry machines, lamps, etc) or we should get more experience per dismantle or craft.
  18. Hey fellow Zomboiders! I've been experimenting with leveling up the Electricity skill and have discovered a good way to level the skill even if you are not an Electrician. Normally, dismantling electronics like radios and TVs grants about 0.5 experience if you did not take Electrician or Engineer. However, if you read the Guerilla Radio magazine for Makeshift Radios, you gain the ability to craft radios. These grant more than double the amount of experience that dismantling will give; about 1.25. Just thought I'd share this, since leveling Electricity in vanilla gameplay can be a pain.

    Career Zeds

Alright, this is looking awesome! I had some thoughts though: 1.) Could it be possible for a zombie's profession to dictate its abilities. For example, a zombified fitness trainer could shamble very fast, or a zombified firefighter cannot be set on fire (due to flame-retardant clothes). We already see this in earlier Mondoids with helmet zombies, so it'd be cool to see more. 2.) The Doctor zombies look especially interesting. Could it be possible for these types of zombies to be carrying patient notes from doctor's study of an infected individual? These variants may allow for lore expansion. 3.) Is it possible to see the tops of the big trees over the fences? The setting kind of feels awkward when you know those trees are there, but not showing. Looking great guys, keep up your awesomeness!

    Operation Big Tree

Just a thought, but with this new step-build process, do you think we'll see screws enter construction at all? They're less common than nails, but perhaps they could be used to make better walls? Maybe they would be a sort of investment that allows for cheaper upgrades (i.e; you can take them out without ruining the screw, whereas a nail might get bent when pulled out)?

    Operation Big Tree

This looks awesome! Now all we need is the option to right-click on one of these big trees and get the option to build a mini-tree house!
  22. Perhaps we couldn't fix the power, but maybe a power plant could have parts that few other places on the map have? A high-level enough electrician could work these parts into a generator and make it more efficient/quieter/etc? A battery to store electricity using human power (i.e; a bicycle)? The last one sounds a bit far-fetched, but the first does not seem unreasonable.

    Gundoid

Another thought I had while thinking about this: would the player character have different animations with guns depending on skill level? By this, I mean like a fumbling-like animation when loading, or maybe the character has a confused emote while firing at a low accuracy level. Perhaps I am getting my expectations too high, but it sounds cool.

    Gundoid

Just thought of this, but what if for the handguns/revolvers/pistols, there was an animation where if your player is very close to the zombie, he/she raises the gun and fires at point blank range. Similar to the one-hit kill of the knife, but faster.
