  1. Make a campfire.... Inside a building... RUN... Or make it outside, get a ton of zombies to walk through it, And make them follow you into and through a building you want gone.
  2. Is it persisting? Well, that's great! I'm glad I didn't mess anything up WELLP FUUUCK. That only fixed the rifles. The 22 pistol and bb pistol still are broke like that. Well, verified this is an issue and it is only the pistol versions. I will look into a fix for this for the next release. EDIT: Fixed this by placing a placeholder sound file with the name Hit.ogg in the sound folder. Problem solved so if you don't want to wait, do the same. On another note, I noticed that There are two problems I overlooked with the BB Rifle, It loads too slow and it racks too fast.... so those will also be fixed Tell me how to do that step by step. Tell me how to do it as if i had the intelligence of a retarded baboon. because i am only tech savvy with web browsers and hardware.

  5. Well... I have a shitty issue. When i shoot a zombie with a small arm- A BB or a .22, It goes to the desktop and prompts a message saying "Cannot load Hit.ogg" and then the game resumes on the desktop- when switching back to the game i get bitten by a zombie because it never paused.
  6. I can't get the stable release! I dunno why! Ive been playing IWBUMS, but i opted out to get the stable one, it has displayed not a single inkling of knowledge of the existance of the update? Can i force it to check? Playing on steam
  7. I want bigger tents, ones you can actually walk inside of. That will decently hide you from zombies, if silent.
  8. Zombies don't give one fuck if they prick their hands or tear their faces or genitals up. Rasor wire don't do shit to them. Except cut the fuck out of them and tangle them up in it. Electric fences would be where it's at. High amp electric wires, and ZAP But you need some way to get electricity- a car battery may work for a few minutes, but you'd need to amp it up.

The only concern that I can think of on the devs part would be animations not matching the speed percentage set by players, especially with the new animations coming.Aside from that, I think sliders would be a really nice addition to the game. Just slow the animations down and speed them up with the pace. It can't be that hard, can it? Not entirely, no, though I can imagine there's other things that will come before this. It's a simple enough request so who knows. Can i make it a mod request, so it might get made faster, or do i need the thread moved?

  11. Simply put, add a bunch of sliders on top of the options like zombie speed, loot rarity, and everything. So we may have any speed of zombie, even faster than sprinter if we wish. Add notches in them to signify each of the preset's value so we can properly adjust. And that's it! Seems incredibly simple. If it can't be done in the upcoming stable build 31, just move this to mod suggestions.

  13. Okay then... Sorry, I don't mean to be blunt and you're more than welcome to discuss it. The reasoning has been explained in this thread (you should be able to search for it if you don't want to read it all!) and beyond that there's not much else we can say to "why not". . Kid murder sim, got it.... But i still can't figure out Why did nobody jump on the first few fallout's for letting you kill them, but suddenly in fallout 3 and NV you can shoot them with small nukes and they don't die... I guess people have gotten more sensitive... But i don't understand why not zombie animals? I mean, how does that detract at all? No even as a sandbox option? I have seen only very few games with zombie animals. And most of them were in resident evil games. I looked up children in this thread and i only found people suggesting it, i'll try different words like kids.

Fantastic! ----- Anyway, a sweet new feature would be total zombie customization. Also with having presets on zombie speed, intelligence and stuff, give us sliders! so we may have 100% customization! Because i want zombies that can jog, but not full on sprint. we already haz that. Take a look in the sandbox settings. We do? A slider that you may drag to any speed you wish, from shambler to sprinter, and and inbetween of each setting?
  15. With an added zoologist/biologist/scientist and surgeon profession, I think it would be rad if you could catch some zombies. And then you tie them down and experiment on them. You can research them, study their bodily chemistry, see how they work, and the more you do so, you can learn more about them. Maybe how they are alive again, better, more efficient ways to kill them, perhaps upping your damage to them, and giving you an xp boost in weapons... Seems fairly simple. You could figure out if you can tinker around with knives in their brains, to find out if you can lobotomize them and make them pacified, or remove their arm and jaw muscles, and putting backpacks on them to use them as pack mules. Catching a zombie shouldn't be too hard. Get a cop's tazer and handcuffs, and some dog bite armor, and you're set to catch one. Unless it's so rotted it will fall apart, in which case it already would lack the ability to harm you altogether. Maybe you will discover why you've never seen a child zombie, by looking inside the stomach. You could cut some ligaments and make them permanently crawl and use them as guard dogs. Or, you could tape blades into their mouth and arms, and armor their head and neck and use them as weapons against players and npc's.

  17. Fallout 1 and 2 had children. And you could blow their torso in half. It makes everyone else attack you though. Why not add them? At least add dead ones? Maybe their frail bodies just are fully consumed by zombies and there's nothing left to reanimate- so kid skeletons basically.

  19. I was under the impression that the "Knox event" Was contained to JUST knox county. So if you escaped, you're home free back in america, with normal humans. As long as you don't let the zombies out, that is. What makes it unnacceptable? That's sandbox mode. Baldspot and kate, i assume, are supposed to be an "Actual" Story mode, like in pretty much 99% of other games.
  20. I'll just play with abundant spawns. maybe turn the zombies's ante up to sprinters, and turn off infection transmission.
  21. I just don't like the idea of not being able to win the game. I don't care if it breaks lore. Just make it an easter egg or something. Maybe as a reward if you manage to survive a massive time like 5 years. Why have a story mode though? If you die no matter what, the story is futile from the beginning. At least a decision that breaks your heart like you have to pick kate or baldspot to escape and live, while the other dies. But inevitable death is also unrealistic in an outbreak scenario. No matter what has happpened in human history, no matter what, if it happens to a massive amount of people, at least a few are bound to survive. Perhaps due to sheer luck, but still. I think the game should at the very least not bar you from TRYING to escape. Just make it incredibly hard, but doable with cheats.
  22. It means, having a way to Make ammunition, and fix guns without worry of running out. Maybe there is an abundance of military junk and lost resources when they fell back, at the beginning of the knox event. Like, maybe some zombie soldiers with their gun strapped on their back, or some crashed apc's and tanks. But yeah, just guns and ammo you can always get if you work for them, without spontaneously producing matter. Adding a military base would be cool. Obviously you'd have to make it balanced, with a near infinite to one person armament of weapons, other things want them, or you. So you can't stay there for long. Maybe you accidentally set of the alarms when you fist enter, and have to grab what you can carry and book it, and then thousands of zombies pour in and envelop the compound. And then you can't go back there unless you want to die, or have the zombies swarm out like a nest of ants.
  23. It's because if you know how the story and plot will go down, why even play it? You don't survive anything. You die eventually, in real life too. Why must it be that way anyway? It seems fairly overly depressing and Overpowered to all of the other forces to force the player to die no matter what. That sounds the most video-gamey of all. one ending that you cannot change, nor are there any alternatives. don't you agree? Unimaginable things happen all the time, why must this be any different. A woman literally fell from an airplane at it's usual altitude of like 30K feet. And lived. You could say that about her during her fall, but look what happened.
