Dunno if you guys keep yourself updated on KSP, but just thought I'd give ya'll a ticket for the hype train cuz KSP 1.1 is a couple of weeks away !

And it FINALLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY has 64bits support for Windows, and some other considerable performance improvement !

    IT IS OUT.

Haven't played KSP for too long, perfect chance to get back.

  2. Alright, I got a bit better since last time I was here, but these are still a bit amateur-ish.

I increased contrast on all of them for increased visibility:

[QUICK EDIT] : Probably should have posted each of them separately instead of joining each one in a single image, but I've been at this for like half an hour, and I need to rest

Well as the title says, i suggest that guns should penetrate walls. Wooden walls are much softer then brick/cement walls or log walls. Rifles have an mich greater power to penetrate walls then an pistol.

(For that part i dont know if its too hard to code) After an projectile has penetrated lets say 2 walls you dont get as much damage as you would get if it hit you without any wall.

This would make player made structures not "uninvadeable" fortresses because you cant hide behind an wall if you are attacked. That would be interesting with the new cover system.

The new cover system is out? I wouldn't know because for some reason the "News" tab on game pages in my Steam library are all greyed out.

I don't think so, actually. Supposedly it's supposed to come out with the animation overhaul. Lerk was most likely refering to when the cover system is released.

  4. lolnope. As much as I like the game, 10 minutes pass by in a few seconds. I would age extremely fast, and I'd rather stay a sporting young man for a while longer, thanks a bunch.

    (also amazing response)

If you could pick one craft for you to be absolutely amazing at (for example, music composing, painting, wood-crafting, etc...), what would you pick?

  5.

Well, I find that just pointing a gun at someone should be restraint enough. They will probably obey your orders and you can just lure them into a cage.

    sadly that isnt the case.

I was refering to NPCs, when they come out. In Multiplayer, Im not sure how people would behave, since I only play Singleplayer

  6. Im sure that you will be able to change your age in the character creation screen. Although I remember seeing in a thread that there aren't going to be bonuses and penalties associated to age.

Someone correct me if im wrong.

The loot in hardcore is pretty unfair. I'm at about 12 days, and the only weapons i've found are 4 baseball bats (didn't last long), a spade, and 2 frying pans. There's more than enough food, just no weapons, tools or crafting items. There's so many empty containers, especially the bedroom ones that usually hold what i'm after (bats). Looted swathes of houses with just spoons and forks to defend myself, and every toolshed i've found has just paperclips inside.

Weirdly i've been hit a few times, and even grabbed by a horde once or twice, but still haven't had a bite or scratch.

The easier difficulties are a bit too easy, though. On "1 week later" there's so much loot in a single house that you can't even fit it in your holdall.

Are you expecting to find a better weapon that a baseball bat by just searching houses? Not every person stores an axe in their house, not to mention if you're looking for particular items, you should go where those items would be. Like, say, the warehouse for axes. Also, forks are way more useful than you say. Being a stabbing weapon, you can kill a zombie in 2 hits with it, coupled with the weight, you can defend yourself from quite a few zombies with it.

Basically, you have a lot of opportunities to get good weapons, you're just not taking them.

Also, the baseball bat is an amazing weapon, and if you say that four don't last you very long, then you just have to be hunting for zombies for them to wear out in less than 2 weeks. Which, I must add, is a very bad thing to do on the most dificult mode.

If you want good loot, go to the places where the good loot is, instead of searching for it on random civilians' houses.

Uhh...right, yea, the warehouse. The place that's always packed to the brim with zombies. No idea what it'd be like with the increased hordes on hardcore. In the streets alone they travel in packs of 7-8.

They don't die easily on hardcore, either. I've killed about 120. ~10 zombies a day is pretty fair.

Bedroom cupboards being regularly empty isn't though. Just about every wardrobe cupboard i come across is either empty or holds just one (usually trash) item in it, which is weird because they're normally some of the best loot containers.

Bonus points for being as patronising as possible, though.

If the warehouse is packed with zombies (which it normally isn't for me), then you can either:

1- Wait a few days for the zombies to go away or disperse, since that's what the helicopter and gunshot sounds are for. Zombie migration. I recommend setting up a mini safehouse near the warehouse so that you can check on it every couple of days without taking up too much of your time.

2- Use a distraction to lure them away yourself. This might very well endager you if you're not careful, since you're basically getting a bunch of zombies to run after you and potentially (and probably) kill you. For this, Id recommend getting in close to agro a few of them, since that way you can agro the ones you want, and take their group apart 2-3 at a time. You can use forks or knifes to separate the zombies and kill them quickly. Just don't use a gun, unless you plan on attracting every single zombie on the face of the map, the planet, the solar system, and probably the cosmos.

About the thing about killing zombies. 120 in 12 days is a lot more than you need, and as I said, is reason your baseball bats keep breaking, I mean, that's 30 zombies per bat. you should try sneaking around them instead, since going in to attack the zombies is a surefire way to get yourself killed and disarmed.

EDIT - Oh, and, sorry I came off as patronizing. My intent was simply to give you some pointers on how to make your strategy better, either by pointing out what I find were flaws, or by adding something that would help.

The lesson is, forks are the best zombie killers ever. Never underestimate the common fork, for one days, forks shall rule the earth.

  9. I remember there is a bookstore named afer a member of the support team. That is the one easter egg I know other than the spiffo plushie.

Im certain there are other easter eggs around, none that I recall though.

  10. They are generally super accessible too. I always tell people that when I recommend this game to them. It's insanely cool to be able to sit and have a conversation with the devs of a game you love, and make suggestions and constructive criticisms, and actually see them impact the game. Can't say I've had that experience with anything else.

..although I am still impatiently waiting for my trusty crowbar to look like a crowbar. ;)

The more people talk about the crowbar still not having it's texture, the more im reminded of people saying how Half Life 3 is not released yet..

I feel like there's a joke in there somwhere...

    I got nothin'

  11. I'm pretty sure RJ once said that our character's panic level falls faster with time of being alive.

Yup, It's a hidden stat, if I remember correctly.

Doesn't matter either way, me being the omnipotent bully that I am, I force my character to get near those walking corpses and beat them to post-post death with a pool cue no matter how scared he is.

P.S: RJ Pls add pool cues as weapons

  12.

Damn it, now I dont know whether I should get Kerbal Space Program or Payday 2 :(

Please, have you seen the thread called Kerbal Madness?  I suggest you get KSP at some point as well, as both games are outstanding.

A tad late at this point to respond, I have around 300 hours on PD2, and almost 100 on KSP

  13. Are NPCs going to react differently if we set the zombie population option in Sandbox to 0?

Are they still going to comment on zombies and the apocalypse and such?

Is it possible to just make the city a place without zombies, with the only opponents being human limitations and other humans themselves, without the NPCs breaking the immersion by talking about non-existent flesh eaters?
