Don't worry. I've talked with Romain about the special chars. But you forgot one. The ß or also called sz. But I suggest Romain, that it shouldn't be sz. (Flusszulauf) Maybe szz or s1 is good for that. It is commonly transliterated as 'ss' for ex. in swiss high german (schriftdeutsch) That is right, but there still are words that also use the 'ss', for example the word "Schloss". If you want to distinguish between 'ß' and 'ss' you would have to use something like 's1' for the 'ß' so it doesn't get mixed up.

I can help RoboMat with helping with the german translation! I'm just not that familiar with the whole lua-system, but I guess I'll figure it out somehow...

I once tried to play Dwarf Fortress but I was not able to really get into it. It is quite confusing and hard for someone who is new to it. Might look into it at some point in the future though...

What about giant zombie crabs from space who can shoot lasers from their claws and are super awesome because they fly? I'd like that... And changing the players attributes seems like a good idea for sanbox mode as long as it stays realistic.

Well as long as it isn't "dualwielding = two times as powerfull as only one weapon" and it has strict limitations, I would not say no. As i stated before, I am not entirely against the idea

a builder?of course your in! now we have: secretary/cook (crafter/guard): @stuffger that handles all the inventory, its collection, coordinate with all members for their necessary supplies -responsible for proper distribution of food and drinks to all members -also responsible for cooking and/or crafting if idle while the builder is busy with construction -therefore, one of the most important/crucial member of the group builder/crafter (farmer/guard): @TheConstructionWorker that is responsible for all construction -his expertise is crucial for the safety, growth and survival of the group -also responsible for crafting -may also help in farming, or guarding the base if there's nothing to do at the moment scout (scavenger/guard): @Chippy has responsibilities to scout for food and materials, incoming zombies, aggressive faction and other survivors -will be the busiest of all the members as he will be constantly in search of a lot of things -must have a partner -if there are no more scouting missions for the moment, he may join scavenging missions -if idle, guards the base Some jobs to fill: farmer/guard (scavenger): will be responsible for the farms: planting, watering, fertilizing and harvesting -his expertise is crucial for the survival of the whole group -may have a few partners if group population is becoming larger -act as guard if there's nothing to do -if idle and guards are plenty, can join scavenging missions scavengers/exterminators (guard/scout): will be responsible for all scavenging missions and zombie (or aggressive group) extermination missions -will also be responsible for defending the base if idle -may also help scouting if scouts are in short numbers -the most numerous members according to job type -very important as they are the muscles and early game food supplier of the group I would like to take the scavenger/exterminator part if you'd let me burn down something once in a while I am pretty good at killing Zs and scavenging.

I could see dualwielding small weapons like guns or knifes, but honestly I don't think that you could effectivly do any critical damage with two bats or axes. Anything that is heavy and uses the force of impact do do harm should not be dualwield because you can't build up enough force when only using one arm.

I did not enjoy F3 as much as NV simply because i bought the german version, which lacks nearly all graphical effects and violence. That really ruined the atmosphere for me. When I bought NV I made sure that I had the uncut version by importing it. I like both games but NV is my favourite.

We all thought of it as a sandbox option or a mod. This means that the survival mode will stay true to the Romero lore and you have the option to turn these special zombies on if you like. There already are other zombie cutomization options like strong and fast zombies so nighttime-Zombies are not that farfetched.

It could be a sandbox option or a mod. Maybe the Zombies are not able to move as soon as the sun comes up. It really would be creepy to turn around a corner just to see a giant frozen horde that will be able to move in just a few minutes, when the sun goes down.

I like the idea of a trained monkey because of the same reasons jhepong24 stated before. They would also make lovely companions since they have very strong personalities (but I guess that could also be said for other more common pets).

Yeah, some real roleplaying would be fitting and awesome! I'm kinda sad now, because it will probably be a long time till it gets implemented
