vilen Posted March 23, 2014 Share Posted March 23, 2014 when i enter a server the main screen writes requesting map data from server, the console writes - timeout downloading zip,il keep waiting forever.it sometimes happens and sometimes it downloads something and is working.what to do? I got in once after waiting for awhile but I have only successfully connected once I'm trying to figure it out too, if I come across something helpful, I'll post it here. Connall Posted June 21, 2014 Share Posted June 21, 2014 As a general rule of thumb consider this a troubleshoot outline of sorts. Can't connect to any servers, none. Never had, never will. Make sure you don't have any anti-virus programs or firewalls that might be blocking the information being streamed to you. Routers can also have security settings that stop these connections but are usually a little bit rarer. Make sure usernames are using sensible characters, nothing crazy. I connected to a server once, can't connect to it anymore! Delete the save folder associated with the server you are trying to connect to and see what happens. If the problem pops up immediately again, repeat. Still happening? Look at the above. If I switch network connections I can connect just fine. Most likely something to do with your router then, I've heard IPv6 addresses have caused problems as well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
