  1. No word until it's out and you can play it. It'll be out when ready. It isn't a 'last chance' kind of deal, as much as we know people are desperate for it understandably. If anything it's more 'one chance to get it correct', rather than releasing something half-baked. There will still be plenty of bugs for you all to test when it's out. Releasing now would also muddy the waters with public reports of bugs we're aware exist and are more important than smaller bugs.

I think I'd be happy with it lasting like twenty seconds? Maybe a minute, maximum. Gameplay vs realism. Perhaps it could permanently reduce your characters hearing range a bit though, and the ringing SFX could be a hint towards that. It's just having a consistent ringing sound in the background for hours, people would just turn it permanently off in their sound settings. Like the heartbeat sound, which I've turned off. Mainly because I noticed it has a "popping" effect in its file, though. Thank God for Noiseworks.

There's no sound they aren't touching.

He was asking due to the fact mods cause issue with the game, regardless of how fun they might make it for you. So this is likely a mod problem and you should disable them and see if the issue occurs with no mods.

    Multiplayer mode

We don't have an answer for this yet, and don't give ETAs as we can't predict when it'd come out; it'd just end up disappointing everyone when it doesn't get released on x date.
  6. Zombies won't get stronger later into the game; they'll decompose and become weaker as NPCs and bandits will end up being the real threat that late into the apocalypse. But I would like zombies to wander or attack more. They just seem to not do so. At least not enough to be much of a threat once the helicopter event happens. Numbers are their strength after all. Not happening. The game is set in 1993, you're not going to be building turrets as a random Kentuckian. Traps like holes that zombies could fall in and maybe sound traps like tin cans on a wire and such would be more fitting for Zomboid specifically. I mean we already have most of these weather effects(?). Winter that you need to counter with clothing protection, thunderstorms, fog etc... Unless I'm not really understanding. Heating has been mentioned in a blog though. Yes I'd love to be able to build or construct every base game object through carpentry/metalworking/electrician. Floating lightswitches, wooden doors and the like are annoying when we can rebuild, plaster and paint a house. It's a unique part of the game that if added to in that way would make it so much better. I've had a gripe with this since my friend and I rebuilt his house that burned down, but could only go so far with our skills. A bit optimistic Something to hold it I guess could be nice, though more rudimentary than tanks. I'm not sure where we're going (or if we're going) with gasoline ever spoiling. That's a resounding no. ? Animals and dogs are planned, at least. Fair to imagine they won't be static security dogs though, and just 'dogs' that behave of their own accord. They are planned to be possible pets though. Probably some time after the game goes 1.0. Loot distribution is being addressed in the next update. Eh... Maybe more boxcars on tracks or knocked over to add to the empty railroad. Doubtful they'd bother doing a train model either just for it to be nonfunctional. This idea doesn't fit the game. Not sure what you mean by this exactly. There's sports cars in the game that are rare enough to find. Planned. Not a bad idea. Kind of already have this? 'Performance' and 'Sport' stuff. Probably just gonna stick to the barricading we have. I think it seems fine? Don't know how others feel about the weight. Good idea. Epic Scarf of Zombie Bite Protection which leads to Legendary Plunger of Suction... Nope. Smell has been in the sandbox, and nonfunctional since it was introduced. I have no idea if it'll ever be a thing at this point or end up just being removed. Regardless, I'm not sure why using a stronger smell of cologne would make zombies not go towards you. Think that's quite silly personally. A bit too much I think. We shall see how this goes and fits with the CCTV and electronics stuff in the future. Personally I'm very happy with how guns are now, but there's still more they have planned to do with them to make them more viable and skill based rather than pure RNG. Noted. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Phew, that was a lot . It should be noted NOT to take 'planned' as 100% going to be added, moreso that they expressed interest in doing it. But shitting and pissing yourself is 100% a no. Turrets, a train driving from place to place, building streets I could say that I am 100% sure they won't be a thing.
  7. This should all be solved once Noiseworks' sound overhaul goes in. Alien Isolation's sound designers if you haven't been keeping up with the blogs

    Stealthoid

Yeah misread. '...features going in this week' meant internally. It'll be very clear when it's out and not just mentioned in a line that people could miss.
  9. I should clarify actually I think, that was a developer mockup from a Thursdoid blog, not my own.
  10. The pain of this is much worse than the windows file explorer menu we currently have. But there's plans for a rework in the future, at least. Grid-based has been brought up a lot but as far as I remember, it's not something they have any plans to do. Removing the so-called top-level inventory and making clothing items have pockets to store things instead. As said, this is a quickly constructed mockup by the developers from a blog, to give you a reference to what they're intending to aim towards.

    Techno Babbloid

After MP is done (which will include some general fixes as well) and Build 41 is the stable build, it'll be back to normal updates. Next being Build 42, which is supposed to be the hunting update.
  12. Ah you're correct. It doesn't seem like it's yet accessible to find/edit these assets. That's my bad. But they will be when the game is next updated, most likely in that same directory, assuming you're on the beta branch.
  13. They're in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\ui\ClockAssets.

    MULTIPLAYER OPTION

No ETAs, when it's done is the official answer.
  15. Some nice suggestions here, but military stuff like tanks are a no. (No OP vehicles) in the commonly suggested suggestions thread. We'll see how the rest goes down in the future. Silencers are a divide in the community I'd say. Also for moving wrecks, you can tow them now in vanilla. Just stop the back of your car near the wreck's front, step out and stand between both of them and press V. You should be able to attach them. The car you're using to tow might need to be heavy to actually move it though.
  16. This is due to your GPU, its shader isn't capable of rendering vehicles, or it's something along those lines if I remember correctly. You'll have to select the 38.30 version from the Steam betas list as it's the pre-vehicles beta unfortunately. Hopefully you can get an upgrade for your rig in time as I kind of feel bad with you being bumped back from Build 41 so much. Ah forgot that option was a thing, Beard is correct.
  17. I'm sorry to say that with the improvements to B41, the GPU just isn't going to cut it anymore. You might be able to play on B40, and if that doesn't work, then B39 in the same options where you switched to B41.
  18. What are your PC specs and are you using any mods? And do you know what build you're playing on? If you didn't opt into the B41 beta than you're most likely on 40.43. Also next time it hangs can you go to C://Users/YourUserName/Zomboid and send the console.txt file here?

    BraveAlan

Definitely not soon. We shall see depending on how the game goes at its 1.0 release, which is still a few years off at least. They'd have to outsource it to another company to rebuild it for other platforms also. It's a "maybe, depending on things". Doing as 7DTD did and releasing on consoles in early access would just make things much harder and costly.
  20. Almost all of the stuff in that thread above is still relevant. So, for vanilla no. Not with the amount of work they've put into the map and are still doing up until Louisville and the map is complete. It'd also ruin all the lore and story they've built up and haven't finished yet, with the TV and Radio broadcasts being set in Kentucky if it was all randomly generated. The map's quite large as it is and this is the preview for some of Louisville: https://projectzomboid.com/blog/news/2020/06/urban-terrorz/ I'm not sure about possible in terms of technically possible, but I like to imagine anything is possible. Perhaps someone might come along in the future and create something like this.
  21. I think he means the ability to turn off opening doors by clicking on them completely, and only be able to use E. In that case, he wouldn't accidentally click a door during a fight when using the mouse. I think it's unlikely to happen, never happened to me but I get his paranoia that it might. Fair suggestion, might be something worth adding in accessibility.
  22. If you can reproduce it, knowing the steps would be super useful to fix the issue. Plus any more information, e.g if you're using mods turn them all off and start a new save to try and reproduce it. And/or a video if you manage. It can be hard to reproduce these specific bugs sometimes.
  23. My mind is very open, actually, if we're going to be this way. But this game doesn't share anything with something like 7DTD whatsoever. I'm not sure why you'd call this a masterpiece but then suggest something that would make it generic. The helicopter is supposed to be either military or news, and they've more than planned ahead for how it'll affect the game in the future. The helicopter isn't there to save you. Perhaps we got mixed up a bit in thought. It's just defeating the point of the game, which is depressing apocalypse, no hope, death, failure, misery are the only end. I agree that it's a masterpiece and nothing in the almost 10 years it's been out has even come close to this game.
  24. 100% not going to be a mechanic calling in airdrops like CoD or something. With NPCs it'll be refined probably lore/story wise but definitely not like this.
