  1. 3, I'm pretty sure they said something ages ago about having you find a car, and then realizing there's no battery and a "dynamic quest" type of scenario. So you could go get one or hold it off for the time being. I do dream of a lot of things they said so this might just be my imagination/hopes mixing with reality. 4, So for 4 I would assume if there were no batteries or anything else in them, rare to get working. Otherwise I know Lemmy said he'd love to have the highway packed with cars. And maybe they might not be working fully either.
  2. I always think of cars and just think of being able to possibly push them so that we could block a road off and delay a group or just have a group make a split second decision. But now that I think about it more, if that was possible, unless you're really really really unfit, who can't get themselves over a car? I'd guess that would be a choice of the two being in, or neither being in since not being able to clamber over a car in some manner (animation or not) wouldn't make much sense. IMO. So much ideas.
  3. As much as TIS can do with this, I'm so in. Imagining about sitting at a campfire and talk rather than standing still looking a bit silly, makes me really excited for some reason. I just love small details that add immersion.
  4. I agree, not really about the spawning hordes like that (their choice from migrating from the edges of the map is fine) but I agree with them being grouped more. The current times they're grouped they're sort of in an orderly line which makes it too easy to just bypass them a couple of meters to either side, instead the should be in a group but surrounding you from most corners to make you risk sometimes. Imagine if there was a horde coming to your safehouse, but they were all in a line, all you really have to do is go out the other way. They should be surrounding your house from most corners meaning a horde should be halved and the other half coming from the other direction so you're forced to head in only one direction which could lead to the demise of your character/group. I *think it's as simple as them spawning zombies from the edges of the map, having them migrate through noise (and NPCs) and making them surround your corners for the most part. *Think doesn't necessarily mean that it is easy.
  5. I get what you're saying, but I think TIS wants to keep it within the confines of the game. After all the game is about your inevitable death, everyone should be mostly equal. I do think this is opposite to the way they want. NPC will be characters with different personalities and so will you, the game is only going to play like they were always in the game surviving before us. Some people like to RP and that's essentially what the NPCs are for. I'm sure a mod could modify behaviour and the NPCs dialogue so you could get something like this. I don't speak for TIS, but I don't think they want this for the most part.
  6. If you've seen The Dead linger, I quite like their animations for zeds climbing over objects and through windows. They sort of just keep moving and fall forward. In TDL they pick themselves up (I think) so for PZ they could do sort of the same thing just they would then crawl towards you.
  7. I see no blood either. I've never actually played a new build on an old save before so I didn't take notice and thought it just happens most of the time, but I guess not then?
  8. Ah, I'll miss this. Thanks for the massive enjoyment of MP eliakoh. I guess this can be closed now?
  9. If I picked you up correctly, you want the NPCs that are added first to be dumb and then gain intelligence in a game-y way? I don't think that'd work in the slightest. Making some NPCs scared and just a layperson would be acceptable as that's what TIS is aiming for, you're not a scientist, you're a common person who is trying your best to survive. They should all have the same senses and common sense that every human has. That's just sort of putting the player in a dominant position (which should only happen if the player plays dominantly). And essentially, it's adding the NPCs as... newbies? Maybe I picked you up wrong so if I did, sorry. That would be such a waste of my text.
  10. Well I didn't mean it that way, let me rephrase: "This may be the only mod I'm interested in since the Erosion mod. :D"
  11. This may be the only mod I'll download since the Erosion mod. Really cool!
  12. I agree with Deprav here. PZ is a game about your inevitable death, if that's going to be from not finding anything in houses because they've been looted, so be it. Sorry, but... That's Life, that's what people say, you're riding high in April, shot down in May. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  13. I closed PZ and looked at the bug fix list in detail last night. It is massive which makes me happy. Cooking overhaul and fishing.
  14. I assume there will be leaders and if you're one then you can instruct certain NPCs to do certain tasks, which might depend on their moods etc... Maybe not with the first release, but further down the line. Vice-versa, if they're your leader they will instruct you to do something, and you don't have to do it. I do wonder, if one of my leaders instructed me to do something and I didn't come back for months would they notice or just ask if I got the item they needed... These are my thoughts, could be different but that's what I'm feeling they'll be like.
  15. I hope so too, feels odd being pretty much empty/no one talking in global.
  16. Oh, but I've already read that, that's actually the only server I play on and administrate it now (which is easier because of the whitelisting) I actually missed that day sadly. Nonetheless, thanks for taking the time to clear it up, I guess I probably over-reacted after reading the OP and set an image in my mind in what it would turn out to be, bad idea.
  17. Oh okay thanks, now I understand. I'm not entirely sure what I meant, my posts got mixed up and I wasn't typing them all from the same state of mind, if that makes sense. BTW, thanks lemmy for clearing that up now.
  18. Rather unnecessarily rude don't you think? Just because you might disagree, I don't think that would be deserved unless I was slightly rude, which I don't think I was, was I? Anyway, I don't play like that at all in SP, only in these stages of MP. I don't RP in PZ I just don't find that fun, ArmA is something that I would, it just differs from game to game. Maybe my posts did get a little messy and unorganized since they were separate. Let me put it in simpler form: I', not against a punishment, as long as it's not incredibly harsh and implemented correctly. You see what state DayZ and Rust are in, I don't want that to be PZ in the long run. I've never played Rust or DayZ, but as far as I can tell it's not greatly functioning, maybe I'm wrong in that regard. Again: My Opinions.
  19. On paper, at least for me it sounds like a horrible idea, it's wait and see for me now honestly. Sure something has to be done, but it has to be done right or it would be problematic. Frustration causing enjoyment is different for many people, I had those "rage" games personally. Regardless of what happens, I'm not in favour of a timeout feature. Imagine playing any game that you own and then dying, being put back to the menu and not being able to join for 15 minutes. Can't your loot just disappear? Both are unrealistic but there's a line there. Sort of off-topic: I'm sort of surprised I entered a MP discussion to shape its future, I was never interested in MP at all but after playing it, it's been more than I expected. I was always an NPC person. I have no more opinions on this, I'm just frustrated as is not being able to join with the 3D models, "converting world" where are my saves located for MP? I need to delete them probably. They also swing from the left which is just wrong and looks odd.
  20. I think what I might end up doing is joining the server I'm trying to connect to with the older sprites (which is build 25a) so it won't try converting, kill my characters, and re-join with a new one on build 25v2. I don't think this is the only way, but I haven't seen many of these threads which leads me to believe people started with a fresh save. Actually, now that i think of it, it did say "It will break any save compatibilities" which didn't happen with my SP, but did with the MP. Possibly this is the only fix as of now.
  21. If on the right of Project Zomboid in Steam it says "iwillbackupmysave" then you have the build 25 V2. However, I have the same issue with the server and I haven't been able to fix it, I don't know where it "saves" the player data so I can delete it and it should let me play on the server again, but I don't know where it is.
  22. I noticed that also, I have to go on as a different character to play. BTW are 3D models working for the server? I also noticed 3D models swing from the left, was that always the case?
  23. Were the characters always swinging from their left or is it changed? I swear I've never noticed this before. I have a few bugs which I must post also, This image is after jumping out of a bathroom upstairs in a house, taking no damage and the game then crashing. The specs are; OS: Windows 7 32 Bit CPU: Core2Quad Q8300 @2.5Ghz | GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6670 GDDR 3 | RAM: 4GB | Resolution: 1680 x 1050. I don't think they matter but who knows.
  24. Not gonna be a long post since I'm on my phone, however I think the "fun" of it would be elimanated. Why wouldn't someone armed kill a new player they meet just to cause frustration outside of the game with the cooldown and keep doing it to others? Admin's may not always be available, but when they are they can do a much better job than a system when they are. Surviving will affect you in many ways (end-game) being one aspect and SAID also. No need to cause extreme frustration for people with bad internet having an extra waiting time to re-join.
  25. This wouldn't stop people and they'd only become more hostile towards others becaue they're afraid of losing their stuff and not being able to join the server for a while. I think it's a very bad choice, MP is almost as good as it can be minus the bugs and FPS in WP centre. Couldn't server admins just deal with anyone acting too unfair towards newcomers? Maybe there's something that could change my mind but not so far. Don't you think it would become a one-sided killing spree because the ones that do can constantly kill the ones that respawn after whatever time they reconnect which I also disagree with having a time limit to reconnect. If it was all optional, better, but most servers might choose hardcore settings and others new player settimgs and nothing inbetween. Those are my opinions, maybe someone can change ny mind with something.
