  1. Say, if you have a TV in your house, It would be cool if you could watch it and get some news of the zombie pandemic everyday provided you have electricity still on. It would be pretty cool to see the progression of the outside world as you survive. All this also goes for the radio. It would also be cool if certain news affect your character's mood. It would be a source of entertainment to get your character not bored. It may also get you to be more panicky, sad or angry. It may also decrease the rate of sleepiness. I just think this concept might be a little hard to implement, such as the random news that could come on for each map. However, I would really like this to be implemented even in a more simple way.
  2. Use localhost for yourself and not 127.0etc due to some bugs that present themselves with the 127 setup. As for your friend he will need the external IP for him to connect (if he is not on the same computer as yourself.) using a site like this: http://www.whatsmyip.org/ If they are not on the same network as yourself you will need to do some portforwarding, in order for him to be able to connect to the server. Some info about port forwarding here: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/6016-multiplayer-faq/#connect Not that much info mind, but it does say a little about port forwarding. We all make mistakes, doesn't mean we can't help. we tried the whatismyip? IP, but no luck That's why you need to perform port forwarding in order for it to work completely. If you haven't forwarded your ports, then people won't be able to connect. Thanks Connal, when my friend gets online, I will try this method and hopefully it will be fixed. I will be back with you on this after my attempt.
  3. The funny thing that I saw was that 2 weeks ago, Obama was on TV and "boasting" about how NATO soldiers and war machines will "crush" the Russians. Has he ever studied history? "Who ever doesn't look into the past is bound to repeat it". He is underestimating his enemy and this may be another Vietnam.

    Snow

Yeah I think you're right. I want this now.
  5. You're not helping, just wait for others to make some suggestions.
  6. Maybe they will implement "actual" body armor that basically puts any regular clothes to shame.
  7. Sounds like a good idea as they can be both used as a bordem reducer and a weapon but while you're using instruments it will cause a lot of noise.
  8. Wrenches, pipes and maybe a combo weapon with a plank and nails.
  9. Sounds like a great idea, it would add a bit more difficulty and maybe it could be a sandbox option.
  10. Thanks, I'm glad you're interested in this. I just hope either someone at Indie Stone or a modder could stumble upon this and show some interest.
  11. Given armor has be denied by Dev's supposedly, this might to some extent fit, having clothes ONLY reduce the chances of a bite or scratch just slightly. Because thin 100% cotton isn't going to do really anything when something is trying to eat you for survival. Having a durability on clothes.. Eh. As long as it went down slow and only went down when your harmed by Zeds, otherwise Im up for it. Thas about all I agree with regarding the thread That's what im saying, most clothes will be useless against zombie attacks. I was thinking that the better the clothing, the higher the durability is. I was only gonna have clothes' durability go down from zonbies. And ofcourse the clothes would have significant durability, otherwise any kind of clothes would be useless in the long run.

    Snow

Late bump, I would still like snow if it were implemented.
  13. This would be cool if it was implemented officialy or not.
  14. Okay. We'll stick with the current estimate that is wrong, then. Whatever then. Just close this now if you can.
  15. The world itself is pretty damn close to the real thing, just compare it to google maps and be amazed. Not sure what you're arguing there If the game would use the real population, it would have to be adjusted at least once a year. I don't know why anyone should mod that. Doesn't make the game more fun or visually appealing. It woudn't have to be adjusted every year, just a rough estimate.
  16. Basically, I was thinking that what if clothes could be a form of amour? It's no suprise that other people have probably thought of this too. But basiaclly each peice of clothing on you has some kind of armor rating, such as durability and how much damage is reduced when wearing it. Different clothes should have different stats and maybe when it comes to scraches and bites, different clothing have different % chance of a bite or scratch going through your clothing and into you. I would also maybe have it where the clothes that you're wearing show up on your body display and hovering over the arm or chest shows how the condition of the armour is in that specific region. Another thing that would be interesting is, as the clothing degrades, the chance of getting bitten or scrached is higher. If you need to repair your chothing, bandages would be your option (but maybe not your only) but they would only repair 60% of the clothing. This kind of addition would make both bandages and clothes a lot more valuable. Tell me what you think.
  17. Maybe, but if those were the total PZ populations that turned into zombies you could kill them all within two game weeks, I reckon... I guess you're right, Good observation. The world itself is pretty damn close to the real thing, just compare it to google maps and be amazed.
  18. If you go online, Muldraugh has a population of 1053 and West Point has 776.
  19. I was just looking online and found that the population for both towns are abit off and that Muldraugh actually has more people. If this little thing could be fixed, it could be more realistic?
