  1. Too many maps these days never get finished, So I've decided to take it upon myself to make my own map. I am in the very early stages of creating my map but i will need a hand with the buildings, if anyone is interested in helping out drop a comment in this thread. I want to keep the detail very high however. For some examples of what I've created in the past and what quality I'm looking for check out my buildings thread, here: If anyone is interested in helping out drop me a message or comment in here ill get in touch with something for you to create to see what you can do, i'm happy to help people out with Tilezed and tips to give your creations that finishing touch Also if there are any experience artists around, i would like to create some new sprites based off familiar American brands (See my Mc'Donalds building for example) though these probably wont be needed in until we get the x2 Tileset to play with. I may create some more sprites myself if i get time but ill likely be busy creating the map for the most part. Cheers Neutz

  3. So many maps don't get finished, which is unfortunate. I have dabbled in map making (though mostly just buildings) and it does take a lot of time so i understand. Ive been waiting for the new map tools before i start mine.

  5. I look forward to it actually, as it is you can build a giant base in the woods in a matter of weeks and it becomes too easy, hopefully we will have sort of vehicles to move heavy loads once that's in
  6. I'm guessing it will be the small residential area linked above, looking at google maps you can see why it is taking so long to update the map. When you consider how similar to scale MD and West point are the whole area is massive. Just creating the few buildings i have in my spare time takes a few hours and with the size of the buildings in Louisville we may not see it until 1.0. Though i assume they are using a dev version of creative mode at this point but who knows. I hope we don't see a lot of copy paste areas in the City though, In MD and WP every building is unique enough that no building seems identical.

What's to the west of Md in real life, didn't know that area was planned, it's been 2 years since we had a map update and the devs are very ambitious and dedicated so we may get Louisville in its entirety. 2 years to work on the map is a long time, fingers crossed it comes with A loaf of new tiles
  8. I'm pretty hyped for Louisville, though i doubt its scale is gonna be anywhere near Real life. I hope I'm wrong as it could be one of the largest open world cities ever created in a game, it just seems like that would be a massive amount of work.
  9. Just tried it out, Both zombies and myself were able to destroy them. A bit disappointing, hopefully it can be changed.
  10. I know the original pre-built fences weren't possible to destroy, but these player crafted ones if we swing at the fences to kill the zombies on the other side will we damage them? Haven't had a chance to test this yet. I know the original pre-built walls zombies can't attack but they can attack player ones, if the metal fences can be destroyed by players with an axe it makes them kinda pointless
  11. How much tougher are the metal fence walls than wood? Will be nice to be able to go all walking dead style and kill zombies from through the fence. I have briefly played the IWBUMS branch and it seems like it will take a lot to level metalworking, it seems very end-gamey which is great.
  12. These sprites are really good, are these all created by scratch by you guys? I've been planning to make my own map seeing as a lot of the WIP ones get abandoned and would like some help with sprites if anyone's keen to help message me, sprites for things like I made in my mcdonalds map. Don't mean to hijack the thread hydro, thought I'd just chuck this in here since there is a lot of talented artists Neutz
  13. Unfortunately i lost the file, my HDD got corrupted only days after uploading it to the workshop and i was unable to recover it. Unless there is a way to extract it from the workshop files it will remain as is.
  14. Hey everyone, Wondering if anyone knows of a way i can extract the building files & Tiles from a mod on the steam workshop? Unfortunately the original files to my Mc'donalds map were lost due to a corrupt HDD only days after i uploaded it, Hopefully there is a way i can extract them from the pack file. The mod is still on the steam workshop, I have tried to recover the files from the HDD but they are corrupt. Any suggestions? Thanks Neutz

  17. I might do KFC next, but i will probably update this first once build 34 releases and will add some new food items like Big Macs, Mcflurrys etc

Going well, Have got it working in game and finished the interior, all that is left to do is create broken states tiles for the windows and finish the sign out front, Then ill have to create the tile definitions so the objects work correctly. Hopefully if all goes well, ill release it as a mod tomorrow Updated main post with finished Screenshot.

    Hey everyone, working on some new tiles for a map and wondering how difficult it would be to make a mod so some doors open automatically when the player is near and make them not operate once the power is off, Basically made some doors as seen in alot of shops nowadays as the current double doors seem out of place in some situations.
  23. Moulding an anvil from something would be much more realistic than creating it from scratch, would prefer it that way too

    Been playing the new Iwbums branch and it's hard to go back to the old graphics now, glad to hear you didn't abandon the mod and can't wait to play it when build 34 is released!
  25. +1 for metal bars over windows we can see out, great idea! or even craftable hatches created with hinges that we can open to shoot out?
