  1. I understand your points of view, and of course there is always sandbox for the intermediates. My mind has been changed.
  2. I like building walls but I think it's pretty unrealistic how it is implemented. The current walls are just too OP and easy to make. BARRICADING the heck out of something I understand. (Which is basically lost in PZ because of walls.) Maybe we should make walls harder to make, where you have to dig holes. Then put in posts. Then you can add a wall to the posts. OR just require posts, but needing to dig would be a nice way to increase the challenge. It would be harder but not too complicated. Shovel -> Dig Hole -> Add post -> Dig Hole -> Add Post -> Click between posts -> Add Wall. or just make it so ADD post requires a shovel too. Real fences are attached to posts which give them the support. []=[]=[]=[] and then the boards are nailed to the other side. It would make it longer and harder to build, though I think 5-10 zombies would be able to tear a wall down fast. right now it's too easy to build walls and just live inside them. I am open to disagreements, and such. I just feel that even though they made it a higher level to get to that point, it's still the main goal for most people, and really I don't think it even feels right. Id also like chain link fences to be put in, in the same manner, maybe having to loot a hardware store or a home depot type place. PS. Zombies need to climb over counters and tear down normal fences. Also pressing against chain link fences would look awesome. Maybe adding in a weight limit to the fence, showing how much weight it can take before falling over, requiring you to go out and clear the fence. Add ability to stab through chain link fence too.
  3. It's TOO easy. Now hear me out before you say "That is why it's called beginner mode." I was bored last night and decided to test out Beginner Mode for fun, using a controller and stuff. What I had found was that I could with 0 traits. Push zombies like super far back, and easily stomp them to death. When I could find them. So I learned that my character must have been B.A in real life because, I was just pushing and stomping groups of zombies. At one point, I slow danced with a zombie. It was beautiful, and I didn't even get bitten. At another juncture I took the pleasure of push a zombie down the street. Ignoring the other zombies. The zombie I pushed was hence named. "Steve" I got to Giga Mart and I found a shotgun and 160 Bullets or so for it. In the same counter. I walked outside and shot the shotgun. About 5 zombies showed up. I was then able to use said shotgun like a pistol and kill zombies halfway across the screen in one shot with level 0 aiming. I finally died by going to the mall and going upstairs where there was a decent number of zombies, I was followed and killed because I went down the stairs and got pinched. HOWEVER I did this semi-on purpose because I was bored. I had 200 shells at this point with a never miss shotgun, if I wanted I could have just killed all the ones behind me, but instead I tried to run through them in a not caring recklessness. Meaning I KNEW there was a horde at the bottom and one behind me, but with the shotgun I COULD have mowed them down but I chose not to. ANYWHO, It was however a LOT of fun, because I could just walk down the street and blast zombies casually and smell the flowers. I was bantering with the zombies and joking with them and naming them. I even mugged a zombie per say. I walked up behind it and put the shotgun to the back of its head and it didn't know I was there and I was saying "GIVE ME ALL YOUR DOLLARS" Then I killed it. So it was a lot of fun! BUT I do not feel that all those things should be true. It won't ease players into the real game at all. It seems that there is. Weaker Zombies MUCH better loot. Less Zombies. Less trait loss. Better skills by default. Starting with a backpack, a bat and a hammer. and more, but i'm not sure. What I would suggest is at least leaving the zombie count normal. Because a gun should still attract a TON of zombies. Even if the zombies are easily killed. I don't even mind starting with stuff. I shot a shotgun down town in West Point and barely anything came after me. Just saying, it should still show what happens if you make a huge blast noise even if it's easier to deal with. TL;DR Doesn't ease people into game well, should keep zombie count normal even if the zombies are super weak. Everything else is fine I suppose. It just made EVERYTHING too easy, (Which is a fun change just for messing around.) (laughably easy it felt like a zombie playground like dead rising to be honest.) Turn loot down a SMIDGE, and Keep zombie count normal might ease people in better. It feels like the difficulty is going from Harvest Moon to Dark Souls.
  4. Oh neat! It would be really cool if they made that moddable. Anywho I may check out your mod because I really want to shout strange things at zombies.
  5. I've been poking around in the code for awhile but I cannot seem to find it. Basically I want to change what the player says when I hit Q to make him say new and wacky things when I am playing the game. Seems fun right? Instead of "Hey" I could yell "SHRIMP PICKLES"
  6. Hello good sir! Keep up the good work!

  7. Have you verified the game cache through steam? http://i.imgur.com/mHvguWR.png
  8. It would be cool if the game had an option to add Thumbstick deadzones. Just because slight tilt makes the character move. Not really a fault on the game, more of a nice option if it's easy to add. Since if your thumbstick is slightly off you cannot open windows easily. You know when thumbsticks start to get a tiny bit bad and they register as moving slightly just super slightly. Enough to not be able to open windows though.
  9. I want the zombies to prefer humans, but will eat meat of animals sometimes, but mostly ignoring animals is fine. Imagine dying because a dog was barking outside your house and the zombies come by and eat the dog at your doorstep, or they ignore the dog and see you through the window and go after you. Imagine zombies chasing a cat down an alley, that you just happen to be in.
  10. I'd like them to make you wear a watch on a wrist slot to know the time, otherwise you don't know the time. Unless as you said but tweaked. There is a clock in your view then it would automatically return. We lose digital clocks when the power goes out but not the analog clocks. Otherwise you need to use your senses or we get an estimated time, only showing 3 hour intervals. It looks like noon. it looks like evening. etc.
  11. We don't need scripted attacks, we just need large hordes randomly walking across the map that will attack your built structures if they sense you. I'm talking a horde of 100+ zombies just wandering back and forth all over even if they are just simulated until they are near you. EVENTUALLY they will find you and it won't be forced, it will be bad luck that they find you.
  12. My idea is that you can climb through a broken window with a chance of getting cut, the more panicked you are the greater the chance of being cut. Then add the ability to spend a few seconds to clean all the glass out the window. Allowing safe passage. It will make people debate on a door or a window for passage. Going should I hurry through the window and risk getting cut? Or make a break for the door? Also that will make the game even harder.
  13. Can I make player one Mouse and Keyboard and Player 2 Controller?
  14. I think even laying in a bed for 10 seconds IRL time would do the trick, at least you would have to worry about finding a bed and laying in it for 10 seconds.
  15. It's awesome that we can move bodies now, because when clearing out safe houses we don't want dead bodies all over our house. Now for blood cleaning. I haven't tried trapping yet. World Filler looks AMAZING! Really adds to the atmosphere!
  16. Go in Users/YOU/Zomboid/db and delete the world.db, unfortunatly it'll delete all the client you set, if your version is a bit old, try first to open this world.db with a SQL client to see if you can have your password non-encrypted Thanks for the reply! Does that mean I would lose my world? (I appreciate the help!)
  17. I wasn't paying attention and I can not log into my admin. Is there any way I can log into it? I have the server on my computer, but I don't see a way to access my admin. I forgot the password.
  18. What if I forgot my Admin Password?
  19. It would be really scary and cool, if instead of Zombies someone modded in titans, that would just move like zombies, but they are way stronger, you have to hit them from behind, and they can just pick you up and eat you. They could hit walls like a sledge hammer, and break walls down to get to you. They could be intermixed even with zombies, maybe a 1 in 1000 chance of a zombie being a titan.
  20. Old games used green blood to keep the rating down
  21. 1. No because then its the GAME telling you who your character does and does not know. We don't want the making up our characters histories and backgrounds. (I like Rathlords Ideas actually, killing NPC's would have negative effects, I'd say especially if you were friends, not if you hated each other.) 2. That sounds fine to me because it makes more sense that some zombies are scarier looking, but more of, you turn a corner and there it is. Scarier looking zombie, fear multiplier. Not a big one either, just a tiny bit. 3. No because that is your job to keep track of, this suggestion is like saying "I smashed its brain I watched it splatter and die" then it attacks you again. HOWEVER I like Rathlords idea for this, he's a smart fellow.
  22. Bold the Agrees Striking the No Way Nothing for the I dont mind. Maybe a burned zombie (a more horrific one, like a more decomposed one) that has more impact on panic. A zombie that makes less noise. A more faster zombie (in less quantity). Adding a chance to an finalized zombie to get up again after some time (this maybe could create an trait called... double tap, removing this chance). A zombie with an weapon like an knife, blunt weapon, with low reach. <-- Never never please. A zombie that you knew, so your character hesitate to attack (chance of happening, may be your former mother, brother, friend), the game have to tell you that, and you can only hit that specific zombie after some time (a trait, stone heart, could give you immunity or resistance). (This might damage the Sandboxness of the game.) A zombie that can call others in a nearby area, a good idea to use guns, or sneaking it. Special infected are confirmed to not be in the game (ruins the game). Zombies already call each other via moans and their own movement. Zombie hordes with higher density. (I think they are fine this is more of a CPU limit.)
  23. I like raising chickens on harvest moon because I just have to pick them up and throw them everyday and feed them don't even have to pet them.
  24. More zombie games the better.
  25. I don't see anything particularly wrong with targeting zombies with bags. That actually sounds like something smart, and especially for a new player, a good way to get some resources when many things may already be looted. It's exactly how it would work in real life- see a zombie with stuff you want? You're probably going to kill it. Perhaps some bags can be "ruined" "ripped" "torn" and therefore useless. So even if you get a bag it might be pointless. (Also good if we can repair the bags with duct tape or thread and needle.)
