holy shit man i love the first three so much your pixel art is impressive and i love your coloring.
huge respects to making small resolution pixel soldiers/coppers look unique and different from eachother and even clearly discern the two genders like that

Actualy, sprites of zombies can be retextured without it. One guy even maked 2 mods, they in workshop, somewhere.
yeah i modded zombies to be gorier myself but the problem is that theyre mirrored right now so you can only detail half of the body and it will automatically copy that over to the other half so a lot of what im planning to do would be impossible or look weird as of now + im not playing this game anway til the anims are out just so i dont get burnt out

I would enjoy playing PZ with retexture mod based on your concept
i was legit planning to do that when the anims update is out

incredible hi score i loved hotline miami 1 & 2 a lot it was my favorite game a while ago, jacket is my favorite character and im always glad to see levels with him. are you working on a custom campaign?

i call these rotters. theyre the 2nd (or third if i manage to pull off a grizzly bear) most dangerous, theyre really slow at this point of their life but they kill you in a single hit and can sometimes blend into the environments youll encounter them in by for example surprising you from a dormant state hiding in a flooded part of a basement. think of em like clickers in tlou, if u let em get close theyll easily grab you and kill you in a single hit. theyre like traditional zombies just a lil faster and more animalistic.
more art V a lot of it NSFW kinda cause of gore
Spoilerface art dump
first four rows are "ferals" theyre basically 28 weeks later style infected or the last of us style runners, theyre very animalistic and instinct based and its reflected by the movements im planning for them which are supposed to be spiderlike (think of the wendigo in until dawn basically) ull see them hunch over tables ur hiding behind sniffing you out and making gurgly growly noises and they have a pack mentality like wolves.
some blood pools i worked on theyve been twisted and shaped around to be flatter looking for the 2d floor
experimenting a lil with drawing and rigging 2d dolls. its been a hell lot of work to get the joints done correctly so you dont have any weird stuff happening such as gaps between arms or empty spaces when bending the elbow / knee. im happy with the results.
also experimenting with spriters on the fly bodypart sprite switching in this case i been looking into rotating heads and will branch out into different perspectives on the entire body as im getting real good results. spriter is an awesome tool and well worth $55 in my opinion it has a ton of cool features and makes animating real easy

Definitely looks like a hoodie
Try adding some Adidas stripes to it, without increasing the resolution I don't think there's much else you can do.
You reckon a knockoff Nike logo or something sportsy on it will make it more obvious?
Right now the main way to discern it would be the name being Windbreaker and the bullet wounds for it have a burnt plastic overlay + effect and non-soaking splatter.other than that i figure ur right theres not much else i can do.
actually, ill look into making high contrast polygonal looking folds and tweaking the material for it. the plastic kinda material on windbreakers often gives those high contrast dark and edgy folds that give it away imma look into doing that too.

windbreaker for men
the clipping of the upper body (the white stuff sticking out the back from the upper arms for example) will be removed under the jacket to prevent such clipping from happening. also wondering if its noticably a windbreaker? dont want it to look to much like a hoodie which im afraid it may do?

both of these buildings are jawdropping. probably the best ive seen yet
-
im pretty sure reading about an 8 floor limit for buildings, everything after that is supposed to crash your tilezed if you try to drag it in but i dont know if they changed anything so dont quote me on that
my favorite buildings are the second cause of the excellent coloring and roofing (love the dormers!) and the last one simply cause the shape and layout speaks to me haha
i like your use of the exterior detailing like those little trims. again excellent choice in color the grayish ones are my favorite cause they go with just about everything.

9 hours ago, Deputy said:I believe that when the map of Riverside says, "Pride Of The Mighty Ohio", it is referring to the Ohio River (hence: 'The Ohio', not 'Ohio'), rather than the state of Ohio. West Point, Muldraugh, and Louisville sit directly south of Indiana, not Ohio - and as long as the towns are south of the river below the border, it's Kentucky territory.
On a separate note, I like that the river somewhat resembles its real-life counterpart -
i mean uh i totally knew that of course and was just testing everyone else i swear hehe
indiana u say? devs please please please add a bit of indiana into this id be so happy to see that happen

something like left 4 death 2 it had a smooth realistic looking overlay on the infected that would leave some spots untouched and some spots completely charred. this would be badass.

thats just the texturing, too
now an entire model u gotta make the whole mesh from scratch often starting from a single cube or plane and make sure it has the lowest polygons possible, then when ur done with that u gotta uv unwrap it the whole process of marking seams for better unwrapping and managing the entire layout is hell and then you gotta look how youre gonna make and align ur texture on top of that to make everything look on point and then make a material for it all etc... when i started blender i tried making a woman, it took me like 3 iterations and overall 5 days to get a good model done. gotta appreciate the whole workload for a single model.
also love how mash managed the burn marks around where the tires were, and how u can see how the flames went toward the back of the car and such. most games like gta v even just give u generic charred overlays but the cars here actually have a 'story' to them, the scorch marks give me a sense of personality and realism vs just putting a charred overlay on it and calling it a day.
its amazing how much detail went into these.
