  1. The sinks give untainted water.
  2. Already a thing. Put rain barrel above sink. Found this it when I tried to suggest a long while ago.
  3. Actually, that could be implemented now; 1. Story only 2. Players only 3. Both
  4. Actually, insayne did it already. But what we can't figure out is making them do stuff independently of the player.
  5. This has been addressed before. The reason it is currently the way it is, is because of the lack of animations for knives. In the new animations update, everything about knives and small weapons like it are going to change.
  6. Hey, we need you at the general discussions now! Someone is spamming posts.

  7. You forget that water has a much higher specific heat to increase it's temperature. Metal has a very low specific heat, which means it will melt quite quickly. So if any hungry dragons come around, they'll be able to easily make a hole in your dome with only one, or two at most, fiery breaths. Leaving a nice big hole for the dragon to fly through.
  8. I'm the same. I still want getting bit to be a death sentence, however I want to give players the tiniest amount of hope and reason to try to keep living. Going suicidal the second you know you're infected isn't exactly the most interesting story. Hearing different or crazy things people have done in an attempt to survive creates a much more interesting story than, "I went guns blazing at the zombies because if I was gonna die, I was taking them out with me", which is essentially what everyone does when they are infected.
  9. This is more about the infection going away after a very long time than it is about immunization. Immunization is just in the title to grab attention.
  10. When I say immunity, I don't mean permanent immunity, I mean a temporary immunity that eventually goes away. This way, after somehow managing to survive the infection, you still never know if your immunity went away, so getting bit it still just as risky.
  11. On one of these forums, EnigmaGrey posted that is actually possible to survive indefinitely, I'm taking his word for it here, but you may be right. I'm just thinking if someone is somehow able to survive being infected for six months they deserve something for that, as I can't imagine that has ever been done before.
  12. But that's what I'm saying. You would have to survive it for AT LEAST 6 months, a long while longer than just a couple weeks. This requires a TON of supplies, and an EXTREMELY well built base, as you can kill zombies bashing your door down, instead you just have to hope they go away. I would be surprised if anyone has survived 6 months infected as the game currently is.
  13. So, I know you read the title, but wait, wait, this isn't a suggestion for some cure or something. I read that right now, after getting infected, it's possible to survive indefinitely with a ton of food, antibiotics, and hydration. However, as of right now, there is no reason to try to keep living once you get infected. So, my suggestion is that after getting infected, if you survive for 6 months infected, with rest, medicine, food, and water, the symptoms of the infection should slowly let up, and eventually go away. After this, you should be immune for a few years. This would be your immune system learning to fight the virus, and eventually fending it off. You would only be immune to the zombie infection, so you can still get colds or other infections. Also, surviving with the infection for 6 months is very nearly impossible, as you need a TON of food, medicine, and water. Plus, during this time, you can't exert yourself by doing things like fighting zombies or farming, so no defending your base or growing food. I think this would give players a reason to try to survive the infection, but it wouldn't reduce the reason to not get infected, as it will still almost certainly kill everyone who does become infected.
  14. Why not just create a multi-generator setup, and wire it across multiple houses? This way, you could power the buildings for a smalls survivor group, and it at least feasible after the apocalypse. A power plant requires society to be functioning to keep it fueled and working.
  15. This is actually a really good idea. I don't play worlds after I die, because that feels like cheating to me, especially if I already had a bit of a base built up. Also, this could work really well with my, "Used Singleplayer Worlds", suggestion.
  16. Actually this is already possible. All moveables can be destroyed after a certain amount of damage, you just have to put them outside of the house in front of the windows and doors.
  17. We already knew this. Since the very beginning. Also they are already in the game. I posted some pictures of them above.
  18. I think it would be better if we have to find a ton of bricks from around the map. This way, it forces the player to scavenge around the map in search of bricks, and you can't just go off into the forest and make a forge.
  19. So, it would be cool to see an option in single player that lets you use the save of another. Essentially, when you die in single player in a default world (Initial infection, or The First Week), you should get the option to upload your save. This will upload your save from after you died to probably the workshop. Then, people who play Six Months Later, or Sandbox (starting out after a player died), should have the option to pick up another player's save. So a random save from a dead player is taken, eroded for 6 months or however long in sandbox, and you start off like normal in this new save. This would be cool, as you could find a the player, and the consequences of that survivor's action can affect your survival. This could also make it worth while to write in notebooks and journals as well. As you could find the dead survivor's notes and things. I explained my idea pretty badly, but I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say.
  20. I just had an idea; So the main con to using metal barricades is noise. Can we have the option to throw heavy blankets or many blankets on top of the metal barricades? This would make it so when the zombie hits the barricade, it hits the blanket instead, which softens the blow and quiets the metal. Also, the blanket would absorb vibrations from the metal, muffling the noise, and preventing it from ringing as long.
  21. Oh, no, I was talking about the IWBUMS build. I thought that was what you were talking about.
  22. I am a fan of Jericho actually, however I learned about this in a high school chemistry class before I saw it in Jericho. The ammonium nitrate ions (1 nitrogen ion + 4 hydrogen ions) bond with the ions that make up water. Creating bonds requires energy, which result in an endothermic reaction when the two are combined.
  23. I doubt I'm the first person to have suggested this, but it would be cool to be able to make ice with fertilizer and water. This ice could be used to put into a cooler to keep it cold and preserve things. This way we could have a fairly reliable way of preserving food after the power goes out.
  24. I still get the texture. Not sure what you're talkin' about.
