  1.

I've been waiting to dive back into PZ with Build 33. It is (or was at one time) expected to have the feature that allowed furniture and other map objects to be moved in game.

It is such a little thing* but the ability to personalize a character's environment is irresistibly immersive in a game like this. Of all the new, upcoming features, moving furniture tops my list.

*Little in terms of comparative game impact. I have no idea how little this is in terms of game development.

I been playing The Long Dark again because now it feels like playing Skyrim placing items in my cozy home, feels comfy as fuck mane

i tried the long dark too, but its sad how death is inevitable due to limited items and somehow i die to wolves even when armed. (holding on zomboid until patches come out)

  2. to me Lucky is far to OP and needs a rework, as does normal loot from Z's for the non-lucky ...

Man, am I the only one that finds Lucky does nothing? I get bitten and or scratched as much as without this perk (Relatively aggressive playstyle :P). I didnt find any axe in the big or small warehouse in Muldaraugh. Maybe I just had bad luck. But with the trait Lucky it shouldnt go that way....

i was really depedent on lucky trait, but the more i played this game, the more i saw i really didnt need it

  3. just add a 50% chance of faling of ropes and fences. now imagine people triping to their deads.

    ahaha AHAHAHHAAHAHHA *evil laughter*

How about adding durability to sheet ropes?

How about adding durability to sheet ropes?

that, and also probability to fall depending on agility skill. also players with the obese and overweight trait should have a penalty when they use ropes.

  4. i used a jar to put some potatoes, but it seems to have disapeared after i opened it. do they have a use limit? (the jar and the lid)

No, the jar itself should never vanish. The lids themselves, as in reality, are only one-use.

ahhh, ok. im glad theres plenty of food so puting food on jar is just a luxury

  5. i knew someone would quote me.... im talking about balanced additions. and like i said core harder than modded.

Everything you've posted is your personal opinion, not fact and you contradict yourself.

Life "inside the walls" may be easier for my survivors being able to make honey but using a katana which has stats somewhere between the baseball bat and the axe does not make things any easier when dealing with zombies. It's lack of availability or ability to repair actually makes it harder if choosing it as a primary weapon.

If anything, your suggestion of a fully automatic weapon (machine-gun) would make the game easier.

As I said, way to contradict yourself. Didn't your mother ever tell you, "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all." And don't forget the PZ forum motto, "be lovely." Coming into a thread to express your opinion in a negative way which is in contradiction to the topic of the thread violates both of those.

Respond to this or not, I will not bother engaging with you any more as I and other have made the same points and this line of conversation has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

no, the smg could be balanced by making its amo rare, and buy puting more zeds in the game. in fact that idea came after hearing a meta-noise of a smg.

i have the right to tell my opinion as you do. i would have stoped posting here a long time ago, but people keep quoting me :-|

  6. Yeah, you can catch anything with a spear that you could a fishing rod, it just takes a few more actions, and like I said since you can queue it up, just queue up about 12 and let it go. You can expect about 3 fish per spear. Its definitely key to have an area for you to be able to forage in though to keep getting those tree branches and a chipped stone.

i will try that , thanks

Yeah, honestly, the only essential items you need from the city are a cooking pot and a kitchen knife. Since you unfortunately can't fillet a fish with a chipped stone, you need the knife. Filleting them over and over will give good cooking xp, then cook the fillets for more cooking xp, then you can make soup, salad, or stir fry with them.

yeah thats true. still i like to colect things :) in my current world my mission is to get the book expert carpeting, my last hope is some ramdom house or the highscholl of WP (inacessible).

Since you live in WP, mayby you can tell me if zeds are grouping all around the highscholl. after 6 months there are so many there thats its impossible to herd them.

  8. sleepy head and tickskinned? how to manage that on survival?

this is what i like to use on survival:

good - outdoorsman, athletic, stout, light eater

bad - weak stomach, slow reader, slow learner, slow healer

Sleepyhead is AMAZING, I would almost consider it a positive trait.

Being able to sleep whenever you want for almost as long as you want is very very useful.

Now if you take sleepyhead AND restless sleeper together, your gonna have a bad time......

Lately I've been trying out the fisherman, and really liking it, my load-out is something like......

    Pros

    Outdoorsman

    Angler

    Lucky

    Resilient

    Fast Learner

    Self Defense Class

    Thick Skinned

    Cons

    High Thirst

    Conspicuous

    Disorganized

    Hearty Appetite

    Sleepyhead

    Hemophobic

    Weak Stomach

    Clumsy

    Cowardly

    Slow Reader

i cant manage sleepyhead because i have to spend much time sleeping wich makes me sleep less time wich makes me be always tired :)

mayby i should have picked high thirsth too since im living near a river :-|

  9. well, lets hope the devs implement some of those items. i really wouldnt mind more balanced variety in the vanilla game. i wouldnt mind to see a machine-gun or roaming hordes all around the map.

Way to contradict yourself in this thread.  "Mods/people who use mods suck but the devs should add some of mods contents to the core game."

    Anyway,

DeadlyStr1ke, that base is pretty cool, I like using the firehall in Bedford Falls as my main base.  The watch tower is very useful to erm, watch.

I would post a pic of a base using Hydrocraft but I never get far enough because the mod updates too quickly and I restart to get the new content.

I have used EBO in the past but I understood there was item redundancy which doesn't cross-over.  I'll have to take another look at EBO again and see how much overlap there is.

i knew someone would quote me.... im talking about balanced additions. and like i said core harder than modded.

  10. You honestly don't need a fishing pole. It takes a bit longer, but I can catch a few fish per spear. If you catch a pike (which isn't extremely rare), it will feed you for DAYS.

If your already living by the cabin by the lake your set, forage for tree branches each day (which you'll also get from cutting down trees with your stone axes), use your chipped stone to carve spears, and go caveman style all over those fish.

Tip: Queue up several fishing actions. You'll continue to keep fishing until the spear breaks, so no need to sit there watching it.

the problem is that i never caught anything with the spear, even with fishing rods my caughts are weak so i decided to invest in foraging, since time is life. it seems you are good with the spear O_O

  11. what i mean is that they have edge over people with no mods, a base made in survival with no mods have more value than these ones

I find it worrying that you assign value to the effort people put into playing a game based on whether they're playing according to how you feel they should have fun.
im not talking about fun, but dificulty

it dependes of the content of course

I fail to see how having more content means an easier game.

By your logic, every new item the developers add makes it less difficult.

  12. problem starts when you think unmoded regular settings project zomboid is hard then try to toss an elitist stance towards it. As if holding down the shift key is any sort of challenge. Stop threadpooping it is a bad practice and everyone will hate you for it.

nah, i didnt said any lie.

  13. I have seen many base game safe houses but only a few safe houses with the Hydrocraft mod.

Please show off your awesome bases that use the Hydrocraft mod!

    newdawnforestbase_zpsklsrmbx4.jpg

Here is one I never got to finish on the New Dawn server.

Do you have a bigger picture, b y any chance? I like how ambitious that base build is, although big rooms make me nervous for some reason ;) Did you lose the base to a server reset or something? I'd love to have seen what it looked like plastered and painted...

what i mean is that they have edge over people with no mods, a base made in survival with no mods have more value than these ones

I find it worrying that you assign value to the effort people put into playing a game based on whether they're playing according to how you feel they should have fun.

You've chosen an entirely arbitrary measure and declared that people's efforts are worth less because of it. You're imposing a moral judgement on other people's entertainment. That's definitely talking about fun. You have no idea of the difficulty settings I used when making my base - how I'd set the zombie settings, how I'd set the availability of food, what the climate settings were, how productive farming was. You've simply looked and declared I'm playing the game wrong.

    yawn...

when two people play with the same settings, the one with the mods haves an advantage over the people with no mods.

So? And, more relevantly, how exactly does this have a bearing onto you walking into a thread set up for people to talk about things they're proud of having done with a mod, solely to point out to them that they suck for playing with mods?

you are the one saying that they suck, but as the op said its all about having fun or playing a more complex game. i wasnt even going to post here more since the op had already enlightned me, so go cry to someone else.
