  2. If we talking about realistic game let's make it so. I don't know how my house is floating in the air. As for survival i am ok with this but it is ... u know what i mean.
  3. I suggest few different type of maps. First one is more global (with highways / not detailed) possible place to find it should be the Gas station. Second one is local map (more detailed / typical city map) should be in police station and roadside cafes.
  4. I thought about this too, but it's not totally unbelievable that many would die on duty. Getting shot by a person, hit by a vehicle, getting overwhelmed or trampled by people. I guess you could even imagine them getting swarmed by zombies but not being torn apart due to the armour, then turning. There's a bunch of possibilities. I still think that they should be quite rare though. What about SWAT just don`t know that they will transform because when you start the game everything is alredy happen. SWATs thought that they fighting with crazy peoples and not with zombies .
  5. Plenty of them. My strategy is simple and not so unique - grab some food for the first time then find all tools for fortification. If i don`t found tools on the warehouse next stop is McCoy. And you know what there is usually like 3 or 4 of crowbars could be found in process same with shotgun. We alredy discus about crowbars in few different posts all that we can do now is wait for next version with better crowbar balance or some kind of mod

  7. Man i am a cook believe me i know something about knives.The thing that you want is definitely not a kitchen knife. Game is ok about it. You need a military knife or cleaver.

Edited 1 class is Distraction: Talking dolls (you know Woody from Toy Story) Kitchen timer (set up timer / live it some where) Small area , not so loud Analog alarm clock (set up timer / live it some where) Medium area ,loud enough to make more problems if used not wisely Walkie talkie (could be used for comunication with NPC`s) Or simply drop one on the ground and tell a zombie joke - “The zombie weatherman said today’s forecast will be “raaaaaaiiiiinn” Fireworks (ignite then throw) Drop it like it hot © Chinese bells (should make some noise when touched) Pretty useless Chinese shit 2 class is outdoor: Whoopee cushion (scattered on the street) This stuff will confuse even zombies + it`s funny. Maybe even boredom reducer Oil (spill it on the floor) Zombies will fall down occasionally and move slower

  12. Zombies with guns - definitely NO ! I`ve seen enough of that in "Fort Zombie" and there was pretty much of glitches. Yes zombie that can shoot you it`s hardcore but when they can shoot through the walls .... belive me this is pain in the ass. I`ve survived in this mess because it was a real challenge. But after that I don`t wanna play again in it. Different kind of zombies it`s a good idea anyway. It`s already half done because you can change zombies settings at the begining of the sandbox game. But still it`s no so perfect i mean if you could choose few different types of the it would be just great. Regular (just normal) / sprinters (pretty fast but not so tough) / tanky zombies (strong, tough and slow of course). Also to make them look different.
  13. Why would they want something that insanely, game-breakingly overpowered? It`s allready like this and i thing developers should fix this in following version. Obviously adding of options like "climbing over crates" (for player and zombies) is enough.

(I'm also a Led Zep fan...) : Climbed it without any problem nice observation point))) what about z-guys they can see you as well as you can see them? Btw i suggest a "crates fence". It gives you benefits - undestroyable by zombies / still can be use for storing items / imposible to climb over / cheaper then regular fence(wall) / you can fight with group of zombies with plank (or fire arm) an they can`t hit you back (distance is our friend). Yes they can see you but thats all they can do. Same for garden but with Rain collector barrels.
  15. If you have an idea how to provide an offline map, I'm all ears. The map itself is roughly 5.5 GB in size.I've got no idea on how to provide this data with any kind of update functionality. I am not really a coder but the game folder maps/Muldraugh, KY (size is 523 mb) already contain all the locations if possible to write some app which will read it it would be great. I was wondering about offline version because my vacation is close to the end i am seaman and not so often get internet during my contract

  17. i will not argue who was the first with repellent idea. But in "Walking dead" 1 season episode 2 (24:27) shows us how to do it properly.

It`s a Dummy doll made of piece of meat (this is our bait), 2 pillows (for stuffing), pants, vest or sweater and duct tape or belt to keep it together. As for meat better to use rotten one. Next step is usage - put in primary and throw to the crowd of zombies (dummy doll is not so heavy so it`s possible to throw it on a good distance even through the window). Then you'll get about 5-6 seconds to act as you like while they tear it into pieces. According to Max Brooks lore Zs aren't interested in already dead things and I think rotten meat would count as such... And they would probably just ignore the dummy anyways since it doesn't show any signs of life. As for the smoke bombs I don't think that would work even in real life. It would need something to really create the smoke like ammonium nitrate found in cold packs. That would be possible, but still not plausible. And also if the devs have stated that there won't be even a aerosol+lighter type "flamethrowers", I'd think this would fall in the same category. About smoke bombs - man you should just try it IRL (outdoor of course) paper + yellow hairs of the tennis ball just for ignition. Smoke appears when rubber part start firing.

  21. as for more difficult traps maybe adding the profession of "Engineer" with special perk will be the solution
  22. smoke bomb - 1 tennis ball, 1 piece of paper (for wrapping). Should look like bomb with wick. Equip primary, lighter in to secondary. Need time for activation after you`ll set it on the spot. Smoke screen which is blocking the view is ready.

  24. Amazing idea to do such a detailed map with zoom/unzoom function.From your map i am already learned bunch of useful places.Good work. Btw offline map will be just great.
