Haven't given it a go yet due to modding, drawing & well.... it is still the gaming busy season Maybe someone could clear up what the difference is between this mod & the official version that Batsphinx was working on..... Has that been scrapped? Or is this just the same thing with more community input?

I have a gift for creative skills.... & I am Cocky as Hell What I meant by learning from pulling apart existing code & asking questions, is that I have no "official" training either... what I know is from GOING OUT OF MY WAY to pull apart code & ask questions.... If I had "official" training I wouldn't have spent so long in damn useless BASIC.... Seriously, earlier this year I spent a month figuring out the logic behind pathfinding & coding my own system into a DarkBASIC program only to have the FPS die after loading 500 pollies.... That's not something a "Trained" programmer does, but at least, now, I understand how pathfinding works. If I had pulled the pathfinding function from an external resource, then It would have been nothing but a wasted month Agree to disagree then, Im just expressing an opinion on how I learned..... Am Learning

Untrained/Bedroom programmers have their place (everything I know is from pulling apart existing code & asking questions).... don't take this as more aggressive than it is, I just think that if someone is interested in this sort of thing, using detailed sub-libraries is kinda counter productive

"Must first download RoboMat's modding utilities" While having resources like this for modders to see, learn from..... In my words, Reverse Engineer (I know I learned a lot from RoboMats tutorials)..... Is a good thing. I kind of question what business a person who NEEDS these sort of resources, active while their "mod" is running, has in programing to begin with. I wouldn't have said anything BUT..... Adding to it? Whats next? A completely separate game running RoboMats lua library?

  7. You've convinced me.... definitely doing tooltips before release then Sorry Zed EDIT: Oh, & latest count is 694 items & variations..... I'm confident that, that's EVERYTHING currently in game including variations such as coloured clothing & different food states....
  8. I wanted to code an auto updater but the I/O capabilities of the PZ lua methods wont allow it. Currently we can only read & write to the lua cache directory "....\Users\....\Zomboid\Lua" which I use in order to save favourite items & keybindings But don't worry, we already have over 600 items & variations availiable
  9. Wait.... open the PZ.bat file & you will get the console working....
  10. Ah!..... thanks mate. Like I said, I've been relying on the console for debugging purposes.... All I ever needed was an error statement & a line number so there was no reason to get into the lua debugger. I'll go look at those now That also raises further questions about why the console output has been removed if there are bugs in the debugger....
  11. So at some point over the last 12hours an update came out which turned off all console output.... Given that I had always relied on that to debug my mods, I haven't used the lua debugger before & the assigned hotkey isn't doing anything anyways..... So.... How am I supposed to find that ridiculous little syntax error that is stopping my mod from working after an overhaul of one of its core components?.... (sigh)

Progress thread here! } that was what, just over a day ago settle down, the purpose of these releases is to root out bugs. not to let you play before the official release

  19. All you need, to add a SheetRope to a window, is [2 x SheetRope] & [1 x Nails] in your inventory. You don't need to equip anything..... even IF that were the case (which its not) the game would equip the required items automatically as it does when you are barricading a window..... Other than that, if your having problems, it must be because a mod is conflicting with vanilla.... Like RoboMat said EDIT: SheetRopes can't be placed on player made windows until 2.9.9.17 Other than the extremely rare "Insta-Death" or "SheetRope to Heaven", SheetRopes have been working fine since 2.9.9.15
  20. What about "Hard of Hearing" & "Keen Hearing"? Are we talking about the actual black "fog of war" or the inability to see what's happening outside of the players perception? I'm all for an option to disable the black fog but if your talking about allowing players to see all the zombies & containers currently on the screen.... well you might as well ask for "God Mode" to be a sandbox option.... .... Yeah, Lets do that!..... (^appropriate level of sarcasm^) Actually, I have a godmode in my Mapping scripts, so there. OTOH, no, I'm not talking about making all zeds / items visible. Just the terrain. Then I'm all for it.... I've got .14 floating around somewhere..... If I wanted "God Mode" I'd just copy the camping script over again, Thanks Romain Its surprising how difficult the game can be even with "God Mod", that's when I was running around testing the SheetRope issues, I lost count of how many times I got mobbed & had to shoot a hole through the hoard just to get away ....... Well twice anyways

  23. Its not a bug.... they're changing the recipes to require external water sources so that they can require a certain amount of water

Next time try doing a Google image search for a photo of someone in the pose that you want, then use that as a reference for your own drawing with your own details.... that way you have an original drawing, while still being able to "copy" the perspective, proportions etc. Even the most talented people need to use reference photo's from time to time
