  3. This has probably already been said, but I think finding, or as a starting point, small, medium, and large underground bunkers would be cool. Since the game starts after the outbreak happens, you could say that you spent that time underground and now that you ran out of supplies, you venture out to the world of Project Zombiod.
  4. Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share your console.txt file, found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  5. I tried everything, reinstalling, updating windows, but nothing seems to work... When I start the game from steam, it says that the game is running, but it only shows up in the task manager.
  6. Also, why, oh, why would there be a house alarm installed in a storage unit! (Never mind in a trailer park!)

    Rummage

A very small mod that adds an Unpack or Undress button to the title bar of the inventory pane. The Unpack button is to unpack a container unto the floor/ground, where the player is standing. This is handy in places with lots of crates. You can unpack (one at a time) all the crates and then see what to loot. The Undress button is to undress a corpse unto the floor/ground, also, where the player is standing. I started to undress corpses to prevent wasting time by re-examining corpses over and over, especially when dealing with a lot of zombies, e.g. Crossways Mall, etc. It got tedious to select all items and drag it out of the pane to undress these corpses - thus the creation of the button. The fun side effect is that my town now looks like the Rapture happened. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3237098772
  8. Yep, if the zombies are on fire, as in case with humans IRL, their eyes won't be functional anymore, and they might not even hear well anymore due to literally "melting" and turning into ash, it's kinda dumb to see this unlogical situations when there's a burning horde following you so simply, ignoring the fact that their eyes and stuff might've already melted 100 times during the time period when they all were burning. More clever zombies can be a sandbox option. Rn the only REALLY DANGEROUS option to enable there is: "sprinters", all the rest physical abilities (toughness, strength, for example) are just making the gameplay a little bit harder, but not actually hard if you'll play logically and use actual planning and brain to be stealthy there. Well, you can also make them open doors right now, or navigate around objects better w/ navigation options, but it'd still be better to have more zombie AI variety-related options to choose from in sandbox mode (as mentioned here: avoiding fire, climbers, ect.) "Disabled zombies" and "bite-less zombies" also DO make sence, at least we won't have zombies so much predictable anymroe in terms if they will likely bite you or not, and if they suddenly will otusmart you, or if luck would be on your side. It fits to any zombie game if you really do consider it to be more in-depth realistic Some previous survivor would deal serious injuries to some zombie but not kill it and for example decapitate its limb or even jaw as a result of the fight, and then you meet this rare zombie, and it can't either bite you (if its jaw is missing), or deal some other sort of damage (depending on wich limbs are decapitated)) Zombies with gear on them like welding masks and motorcycle helmet should NOT be able to bite players, it makes complete sence and is way more realistic, obviously. But you still can get any other type of wound except bites from such zombies, as they still might have arms to to that, even though their mouth is basically blocked by some physical object (helmet, mask) The more variety - the better, more realistic, and less predictable gameplay in other cases --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, it could all be just a sandbox option, wich can be enabled or disabled by the players only in sandbox mode. Want climbing zombies? want disabled ones, or those avoiding some danger like fire? Launch sandbox mode and enable, or disable these behaviour options there, again, the more opportunities in sandbox mode - the better.
  9. What the title says. It's quite wild that spriting can cancel you from any action except this, accidentally clicked on it due to a horde, sprinted to cancel, it didn't.

  11. don't worry in build 42 there will be a lot of stupid wonderful hats
  12. Any news on that specific problem? Is it possible to reproduce it for anyone else? I know that in case it is really a vanilla game problem and not in some weird way related to my system, there won't be a fix until B42 drops. Just asking to see whether the problem is only on my side.
  13. Not without any modding experience, I would recommend checking the Workshop page of the mod and see if any of the other players found any fixes, or if this bug has been reported to the creator already.
  14. Ok I found the mod and removed it but now theirs a new problem. The problematic mod is that DAMN library which is needed for all of K15's mods and I use almost all of them is their anyway to fix the mod?
  15. hi, whats your export blender config? I exported mine in 0.01 scale and in the game is toooooo small just like a dot, why?
  16. I'm making a mod that adds Zyn's to Project Zomboid, but when in game I feel like it takes a little too long to consume the pouches and would like to speed up the action a little. item CoffeeZyn { DisplayCategory = Junk, HungerChange = 0, Weight = 0.10, Type = Food, UseWhileEquipped = FALSE, DisplayName = Coffee Zyn Pouches, CustomContextMenu = "Use", OnEat = OnEat_Smokeless, StressChange = -5, UnhappyChange = -5, FatigueChange = -3, Icon = CoffeeZyns, CantBeFrozen = TRUE, EatType = OpenCannedFood, WorldStaticModel = Zyns3D, StaticModel = Zyns3D, DisappearOnUse = FALSE } Next question, as you see in the code above I use "CustomContextMenu = "Use" in game it shows in the UI as ContextMenu_"Use" I would like it to only say "Use" before you say anything I did already try "CustomContextMenu = Use, and it did the same thing just without the "" Thanks for any help.

    Spear bug

Standing still to kill a zombie but missing on purpose then pushing it kills it instantly. Not a game changing bug but might need so fixes. IMG_5935.mov
  20. Guys, I like what you're doing. In my opinion, your sandbox is the best in the zombie setting. Keep going!
  21. When I load up the game, and it sits for awhile at the title screen the text changes, and you can't read it. I am not sure if it changes to weird characters or just so small you can't make it out. Sometimes when I make it past the title screen and into the game it clears up for a few minutes but eventually the game crashes? And my character gets undressed and redressed in the same outfit but the colors change?? I have also attached a screenshot. I have a couple of videos here where you can see what happens: https://clips.twitch.tv/AgilePiercingMonkeyDAESuppy-NV_V9RpmKnoqI3xy
  22. In that case, you may need to do a clean Driver reinstall as shown here in case the driver issue was not solved by a reinstall, this is due to some of the driver files not being removed:
  23. Yes, you will just need to go to your C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid\Saves\Multiplayer folder. In there you will see a folder with your servers name, by default it would be "servertest". Copy and move the server save folder somewhere else to back it up. I would personally recommend compressing it for easier storage and movement. Right Click > Send To > Compressed Zip
  24. I don't know how to make an in game scenario, but you can make your own custom spawn mod to get a rooftop start - either 1 fixed location, or several to add randomness. The rest can probably be done with mods that are already on the workshop.
  25. I want to make a scenario involving being trapped on the rooftops of Louisville with a horde of random varying zombies ranging from shamblers to sprinters but I don't want it to be a fixed save rather a fresh start each time. I can't find a single video detailing how to make a scenario/challenge so any help would be appreciated.
  26. The day starts like any other. You take stock of your supplies, cook a meager breakfast, and check the perimeter of your dwelling. Once you know you’re safe, you sit down next to your radio and prepare to start your daily frequency sweep. You know nothing ever comes of it… but it’s a new day. With a surge of anticipation, you flick the switch and adjust the dial, hoping against hope for a signal. Static crackles through the speakers, followed by a voice — a voice that sounds human, a sound you haven't heard in what feels like an eternity. Tears well up in your eyes as you realize you aren't alone — that somewhere out there, amidst the chaos and despair, there are others who have survived the horrors of the apocalypse… You ever stop and wonder how the world used to be? Back when the sun didn't shine through clouds of ash, and the streets weren't paved with the remnants of civilization. Yeah, those were the days. But here we are, two decades deep into this mess. It’s been years since the world went to hell in a handbasket, courtesy of those flesh-eating abominations. You see, when the dead started walking, it wasn't just chaos and panic. Sure, there was plenty of that to go around, but there was something else too. Something that flickered in the hearts of those who refused to be swallowed by despair. Hope. We banded together, us survivors. We forged communities out of the ruins, built walls to keep the dead out and the living in. We scavenged what we could, made do with what little remained. It wasn't easy, not by a long shot. But we adapted. That's what humans do, ain't it? We adapt, we survive. But don't get me wrong, there's still plenty of darkness out there. The dead roam the streets like a plague, a constant reminder of what we've lost. And there are those who would see us fall, who would tear down everything we've built just to watch it burn. But we ain't giving up, not now, not ever. We've come too far to turn back now. We've got hope on our side, and as long as we've got that, we've got a fighting chance. So yeah, the world may have gone to hell, but we're still standing. And as long as there's breath in our lungs and fire in our hearts, we'll keep on fighting. That's the survivor's way. We’re here. And if you’re out there… we’re ready to stand with you. With trembling hands, you reach for the microphone, your voice choked with emotion as you respond to the transmission. Amidst the crackle and static, you speak words of gratitude and determination. As the sun dips below the horizon, you know that you've found a glimmer of hope—a lifeline connecting you to others who share your will to survive. With newfound purpose burning in your heart, you will face whatever challenges lay ahead, armed with the strength of your shared humanity. _____________________________________ Welcome to Sanctuary. A shining beacon in a land of death and decay. We’ve recently relaunched the server with a focus on immersive, PvE gameplay. The setting is years into the apocalypse. Over time, the dead have overtaken the streets and nature has reclaimed the rest. New players spawn into an existing community known as Sanctuary, and have the choice of staying and contributing to the encampment or setting out on their own. Regardless of which road you take, the goal is always the same… stay alive to see the sun come up again. Discord server: https://discord.gg/FA6r3fNVYE Server location: North America (although our player base is global) Gameplay: Focus on PvE with events driven both by player decisions and admins. Events will be centered around Muldraugh, however, players choosing to go it on their own are always welcome to participate, regardless of where they lay their heads. Loot is scarce and progress is slow, but in Sanctuary, each player has an opportunity to carve out their own legacy over time. That said, if you're looking for a server to live out your Rambo fantasies, this probably isn't it. Zombies: Heavy dose of shamblers with a pinch of sprinters to keep everyone honest.
