Xadhoom
At the moment zombies have mainly just some clothes on them, and that makes them a little boring and with no "personal touch" that would make them a little more beliavable. In the real world there aren't only standard citizen walking around, we have different kinds of people: shopkeepers, lawyers, police or fire officier, many kind of workers and so on.So this is my simple suggestion: make some "specialist" zombie, like:Fire officer: sturdy and quite heavy clothes, and some tools the usually use (like axes);Police officer: a gun, some bullet, a truncheon and maybe handcuffs;Costruction worker: some tools or building material, and sturdy clothes (jeans?), maybe a helmet;Employee: some nice clothes, maybe a suitcase with papers and pens inside;Tugh: some tough looking clothes, a knife or a weapon of some sort;Shopkeeper: simple clothes and different stuff (depending on what shop it comes from, like hardware store = nails);Doctor: some pills and medical stuff; and so on!Ideally in a group of zombie half should be standard-zombie and the other half with various zombie specialists, maybe with varius degree of rarity, with specialist zombie that have usefull loot being the rarest. I didn't find this in the suggestions thread and i don't know if developpers already decided to add something like this in the future, if so just ignore the whole thread. Suomiboi
I agree with you and it probably will be so or similar at some point. I'm gonna quote RingoD123 and myself on a recent topic: I do agree that it would be interesting to have situations where you'd have to approach the zombies differently, but I don't think it should be done in a way that adds certain "types" of zombies (riot police zombies, police zombies, military zombies etc.). Rather have a system that adds gear/clothing to random zombies. So for example if you implement a bicycle helmet there's a certain chance that a zombie has that worn. And then have a propability increase of having more clothing of the same type eg. cycling shorts. So when the game streams a zombie it does it dynamically rather than as a type. Or something like that. Now this sounds a heavy toll to the system and it might be. I have no freaking clue! But if it isn't, it would be how I'd like to see it happen. Also it might be quite a task to create the dependencies. Buuuut just a thought. It will most likely be some combo of both, you will get random zombies wearing random mixes of all the clothes available to players, but your also gonna have different zombie types (military zombie, police zombie) or you will just end up with a zombie wearing a policemans hat but with cyclists shorts and vest etc. The different "types" of zombie wont spawn in hordes etc however, so you wont see a horde of police only zombies coming towards you, but if your in a military area then theres a good chance a lot, if not most, of the zombies will be military zombies. So the devs have it somewhat planned already!

Walther
at the moment there is a good chance the dead zed beneath your feet has something other thand clothes on him... I found many'a stuff in deadzeds so far... always nice are items like wallets, rings etc. worthless stuff (yet) but cool IMO. then there are zombies who are carrying bags, axes, planks whatever you name it. just slay enough of em and check. there could be zombies that had a specific occupation prior to their life as a braineater, which would have course make sense... maybe we'll see stuff like that. I'm fine with the way they are but seeing a single zombie in a group wearing a police uniform would deffo make him very interesting (if the uniform could also be worn
Suomiboi
(if the uniform could also be worn I doubt that they're gonna add anything that couldn't be worn, used or taken by the player. So if there will be police uniform zombies, you're gonna be able to dress as a cop.

Suomiboi
I think you misunderstood me now... I meant that if they're gonna implement new clothing, you'll be able to wear it. And I do think that we'll be able to see uniforms definitely and it will be great!

uberevan
One time, no lie, I found a FIRE AXE on a zombie. Now I always search their bodies. Usually just wedding rings or wallets but occasionally a magazine or rarely bags and ammunition (Never guns themselves tho )
Armredhoof
Honestly I think that any zombie types would just be a loot table for the zombie to spawn with, the zombies wouldn't act any different from each other but it's just that this zombie could drop these things, that zombie could drop those things instead. Yes, having different occupations wouldn't affect the zombies behavior.

uberevan
What if certain Key Cards or ID badges were required for access to places? Say you wanted to access the military base, but you needed an access card, so you kill a military zomb to get his ID so you can enter. Just an example

Would also make looting zombies a bit more important. uberevan and Cyberdemon123

Yeah, but breaking in should be more difficult (Not Impossible) for places like that. Also, how about keys turn off alarms for houses. Seriously getting sick of alarms at every house Now I just open house windows in triangle fashion so that after all 3 have been opened, the zombs will be checking out a house different than the one I'm looting

Would be interesting if there were several alarm types.
