  1. Was thinking it'd be a nice if:

         1.  Food items stored in containers outdoors during cold weather would refrigerate / freeze (depending on temperature).

         2.  It was possible to collect snow and/or ice during winter and put it in refrigerators / freezers / coolers to keep the contents cool.

(I don't *think* item 1 already occurs in the game -- apologies if it does.)

  2. Could be interesting to add gasoline spoilage, at least as a Sandbox option.

Gas typically has a shelf life of about 3-5 months (diesel, 6-12), after which it won't burn properly in engines to due buildup of solids -- resulting in the engine performing poorly, or not at all.

Since there's no influx of fresh gas, this could be implemented as a straightforward across-the-board performance decrease over time in all gasoline-powered vehicles and generators.

  3. Here are a couple of minor adjustments to cooking that I'd like to see:

         1. Once put in a soup or stew (i.e., soaked in water/broth), the various types of dried beans should not impose a thirst penalty.

         2.  It should be possible to use beer, wine, and bourbon as a spice / seasoning in soups, stews, and stir-fries.

  4. In addition to boiling, it might make sense to add the following water purification options:

       1. Allow a small quantity of bleach to be used to purify a large container of water.

       2. Water purification tablets.

       3. Portable camping / hiking water filters.

All three are commonly used, and would have been pretty freely available at the time of the Knox Event (tablets and filters would probably be found in the same locations as tents, backpacks, military gear, etc.).

  5. Some things I'd like to see on this point:

         1.  Have an option in the vehicle radial menu to unlock the vehicle trunk (I think most cars by the early 90s had a trunk release lever by the drivers' seat or in the glove compartment).

         2.  With some vehicles (like station wagons), smashing the rear windshield should give access to the "trunk" / rear storage area.

         3.  It seems the player should be able to pry open most sedan-style trunks with a crowbar, given some time and effort.

  6. I was thinking it'd be nice for survivors using long guns to be able to assume some basic shooting stances -- at least prone, sitting, and kneeling -- with corresponding accuracy bonuses.

It would also be cool if survivors could crawl, granting a stealth bonus at the expense of movement speed.
