  1. You can crash down doors with an axe or crowbar - at least these are the weapons I do it with. Just hit it in combat stance. This also works on fence gates like those at the military zone near louisville.
  2. Will give it a try in the next days as I am in the process of restarting my server, so this will come in handy =) How does it handle multiple mods in one mod like Filibusters? Is there some kind of "info" in the output?
  3. Appreciate your work! There is also the ModManager Mod that you can find on steam which nicely integrates with the games mod-interface - actually replaces it. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2694448564 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2725216703
  4. Maybe a skill.. something like "Evasion" that reduces the chance of getting hit in melee combat and by zeds therefore too.
  5. You could use docker container. Then you only have to worry about the port-mapping and nothing else. I am using afey/zomboid but there are plenty more out there as of now I'd guess.
  6. OMG no... playing this game kills too much time already!
  7. Yes working ladders would be neat! I was sooo disappointed when I found out that I can't climb the ladder to access the roof of the warehouse I found recently.
  8. Thank you for this tipp, but it seems to be a modding-helper mod (provides functions to tweak some vehicle attributes more easily). In my understanding this would only help if I would build a vehicle-mod myself.
  9. In some situations it is really hard to hit the enter-vehicle-zone. Depending on the angle where you come from and related to the car type, size and how it was parked it's nearly impossible to enter without using the radial menu (too many clicks in a dangerous situation). I would prefer larger zones and automatic assignment to the driver seat. On MP this could work also just by entering from the side of the car (with larger enter-zones) and you get assigned to the first free seat of the car in order. That would make entering a car on the run way easier
  10. Personally I think fast-forward is more suitable for smaller "group-servers". On large (pvp)-servers this feature wouldn't be useful or even needed anyway. I imagine most of them having sleeping disabled and reading configured to be faster for playability and "joinability" later in the game. So I think this feature could well work as it does in solo? Player A clicks on "fast-forward", Player B, C and D get a message that fast-forward (sleeping the same) was requested. If they agree they click on fast-forward too... time is flying. One player starts moving... time returns to normal. Me and my friends are connected via discord while playing most of the time anyway so we talk about if one needs to sleep or read.
  11. Actually you can turn off the need for sleep in the server settings but I for myself love this feature. To have to rest and even sleep, and the need to keep going anyway sometime, adds some risk and increase the immersion a lot. And time consuming tasks do the same. Reading a book on the run? No sir! It takes time and plenty of that so plan for it, the reward makes it worth! But that doesn't mean that I as player should and want to be bored to death by it
  12. Totally agree and yes there are a few threads/requests about fastforwarding like in solo, so you are not alone
  13. Agree... waking up on purpose is somewhat unrealistic (could actually be a trait though). But if I'm awake while timeskipping moving should stop it, I think. Don't want to run into a horde in fastforward
  14. Manually marking items for quickdrop would be quite the micromanagement but doable I think...
  15. First of all I really like that idea of dropping "heavy objects". With bags you carry this really could work well. But aside from things you carry how would you implement such a logic? What exactly would you drop (by game logic) from inventory to lower encumberance? The heaviest thing first? That would be fun I imagine - zombie shows up, my inventory full... emergency-drop!!! gun and baseballbat in the dirt😳🙄 [edit] I reread my post and realize it could be easily misunderstood - I really meant that I like the idea and really just wouldn't know how to define such a "auto-drop-logic". No sarcasm or the like intended...
  16. Actually you can look back while driving. Just go to "combat-mode" (right click) and turn around - it works exactly as walking and looking around does.
  17. I totally agree with you. I also would've gone for min/max value in the first place. But since the properties are already there and used by the game a change to this setup would probably break a lot of logic in the game - not to speak of running games.
  18. ...and unfit and overweight? *g
  19. The two different (but apparently mutual exclusive?) settings * WaterShut/ElecShut * WaterShutModifier/ElecShutModifier should work together. "Modifier" should be a modifier and no hard value. That way we could set them way more flexible for our servers. WaterShut (somewhat random range) + Modifier (fixed minimum value). e.g. ElecShut = 2 (0-30 days), ElecShutModifier = 10 --> 10-30 days
  20. A minor chance to break a window or door (unbarricaded) would be interesting indeed.
  21. A general fast-forward mechanic could replace the "sleep-timeskipping" alltogether. If every player clicks on fast-forward time starts skipping until a players moves or switches back to normal. So some could sleep, others could read or wash etc.
  22. You don't need to remove the mods - it should be enough (at least for the steam version it is) to restart your server. Then it will update the mods you use and client and server version match. But aside from that I second your opinion.
  23. Hi Dev-Team I already posted this on steam but since the discussionboard there gets flooded within minutes I thought I'd repost it here - so please don't think I try to nag about it. Well actually I do nag but with all the good intentions I'd really like to see the fast-forward option on MP-server like it works in solo play. It could be a setting as sleeping is and could work so that if one player clicks fast-forward the others get a msg like "getstoopid is requesting fast-forward" or whatever and it starts skipping if all active players also starts timeskipping - so some players could sleep (and skipping time) while others read, wash, cook or just rest. It would greatly increase the playability I think - Noone would need to disconnect so others can sleep and reading wouldn't "steal my play-time". I'm all-in for realism but watching my character read is.. well you know *g
