  1. This.has always been a little lacking. I like the idea of constricting your own to get up to a window. Force the player to build as many segments required for each floor like reverse rope ladders Of course, they could be subject to break based on the level of construction of the player building them, combined with total load of gear carried, with the appropriate adjustments for character weight status(obese vs underweight, etc.)
  2. @Kubic Good reasoning, and a view point that I have never considered. Unless you've bought the GOG version of the game, I'm sure there must be a mod on the the Steam PZ workshop. I'll admit that I backup some of my saves from time to time, typically a character I use to examine/explore features I'm unfamiliar with, or a character I create with a certain long term goal in mind that requires higher level skills.
  3. I always liked he idea of a characters weight being physically visible. It would require a but of work to implement, I imagine. And a lot of new models for characters, zeds and their outfits, but it would be pretty sweet. I imagine if it happens, it'll probably be after the animals build, and npcs. But who know? TIS has their way of sprinkling new features into the game all the time, so I wouldn't lose hope. And if not, the modding community is rather crafty. They've brought us boats already, and there's someone working on a flying helicopter that has some sweet potential.
  4. I think this feature.is built into the better towing mod. Takes a chunk of time, and a huge hit on stamina. I say I think, because I can't recall if it's in vanilla or not.
  5. They have added leashes and dog dishes and such a few updates back, so I would like to assume they'll have a purpose. And I think dog houses have been around for some time. I think the doghouse should also count as a tent, for the purposes of sleeping.
  6. Good point. Never realized it was an unbindeable command. PZ is generally good at having moldable options, kinda surprised cruise control isn't one of them.
  7. Seems like an alright idea, so long as said player can't fight during that time. Especially in the case of PVP.
  8. And soon well be hunting, and murdering npcs. Looks like little Timmy will get an xmas after all.
  9. Steam Workshop::QuarterStaffs (steamcommunity.com)
  10. Or to just leave lying around to be stepped on by someone, to have the shaft slap em in the face (think Sideshow Bob in the earlier days of the Simpsons).
  11. Can't recall the name of the mod, but there are a couple, assuming you've got the steam version of PZ. I know one of them is a customizable bus, and there were some other vics you could modify, if I recall. Uncertain of its compatibility with the new mp test builds, however. And it doesn't include any(or at least most) vanilla vehicles. I think they intend to do more work on vehicles down the line, as you can sometimes see the cars engine through the hood under certain circumstances, so hopefully that's a good sign there is intent on fleshing out vehicles more.
  12. Well, less lighters, and more appliances. The new builds have created a bit of a shortage of cigarettes, but even when I find them, I can never find anything to light them. But I would never let a lack of fire keep me down. I've lit cigarettes on stove elements, and in toasters. Perhaps add that as an alternative while power is still up? And although it may be unbalancing, but perhaps vehicles should have lighters built on the dash that could be used to light a cigarette. The player would have to be in, or adjacent to the car to use it. It was the 90s after all, and I think they were standard in just about every car.
  13. I've had more trouble finding lighters, but I do notice cigarettes are much less common. I was using Jiggas green mod, and I assumed that made the lighters nigh unfindable. Enough pot and stogies to last a lifetime, just no way to light them...
  14. Darn. Will have to wait on devs/modders then. A fellah can dream
  15. It could be more interesting if a fellow is.trying to hide from a pvp player, by tracking down the tracks of a hoard, and trying to blend in with theirs. Or leading hoard up a lonely PC's trail.
  16. You can accelerate with it on, until you touch the breaks(including ebreak), or adjust speed by holding shift while hitting the gas or the break. One feature that I really would like is to reset your cruise speed without having to engage the cruise control system. More specifically, if you hit cruise control up to say 40mph, then disengage to system by breaking and stopping your car, and decide you want to cruise at 10mph, you have to turn on cruise control, then hit shift while tapping the down key a bunch to get to that speed, but the rate it decelerates is 5 mph every second or so, so you wind up hitting 30-35 mph before you actually set it down to 10. I bump into a lot of stuff doing this...
  17. And if they add a height variable, you'll be able to make items appear like they're on different shelves of a multi shelf tile, or stackable on top of each other, as some others have already suggested. My only issue with item placement is the amount of time I can sometimes spend doing it. Weekdays are for weed and whiskey in my books, but buy howdy does it kick my OCD into gear. I could spend, literally, a full 24 in game hours decorating. "They call them fingers, but I've never seen them ding... ...oh, there they go." - Auto the bus driver.
  18. I assume the photos of leaning items are the result of photoshop, as opposed to a mod or anything, correct?
  19. Exactly like that. It could also be cool if you could adjust their height, so it can be placed on a shelf with multiple tiers. Or to stack on top if one another, as mentioned in another thread. Canned goods pyramid, anyone?
  20. I'm liking the thought of adding tracking the more I read this thread.
  21. Not sure what you mean by this. The old maps prior to the new map system, once read, will be added to, but shaded out as unexplored. After that, you can toss the map you wound. They said annotations from maps also carry over to the player map, but I've not noticed or tried that yet.
  22. R will rotate items being placed from left to right and vise versa, as normal, but add and up and down axis so it can be rotated virtually any direction. Think the items in skyrim, when viewed in inventory. Make items like brooms appear like they're cleaning against a wall. Or flat on a shelf. The world will be your oyster.(with a little help from the devs/nodding community.)
  23. The outfit wasn't masculine enough for my character, so I have yet to notice. Should have fun with that while I still can. Thanks mang.
  24. Could be a mod conflict, but transparent tights on a mannequin make its legs see through. If transparent tights ate from a mod, and not vanilla, please disregard and call me an ass hat.
