1034: New 'Rope Ladder' item (crafted from 2x rope and 6x Sturdy Stick) - Used the same as a sheet rope (Requires 2x nails to the window). Is faster to climb, and less prone to being ripped down.

1035: Ability to use normal Rope on windows, instead of just sheet rope. Is slightly faster to climb, and less prone to being ripped down

1036: Ability to fall from rope climbing (injuring the player). Using the rope/rope ladder suggestions above, the chance is relatively high on Sheet Rope, and pretty minor on Rope Ladder.

make part 3 tie into exhaustion in some way and ill be happy

  2. no stacking!

pockets should hold 4 small items, 1 medium item, and 0 big items.

there should also be "massive" items that you have to carry visually on your person.

    in quarters.

pockets should also have damage percentages. if it is damaged items fall on the ground.

    and maybe make a spiffo!

    1098. Make reading great

Reading in MP is not the most engrossing experience. More often than not, it involves asking other players to protect you while you go afk to make dinner in real life.

What if we had a little mini-game for nominal reading speed boosts, to keep players "in" the game? Could be as simple (visually) as one of those timed button presses- a little reticle could bounce left to right in the reading progress bar, with little targets appearing occasionally- hit lmb at the right moment, and maybe you can skip a page.

Not a fan of mini games in this game generally, but then again I'm not a fan of an absence of gameplay either 🤔

I think reading in general could use some love, that said I would rather see a deeper selection into what we need to read.

Magazines are short but give us recepies.

Books could have indexes that we look through to decide what benefits we want from them. Make the multiplyer something that is in the background rather than something we read the books for..

My problem is how reading a book is kind of all or nothing at this point from what I can tell.

Either I read the whole thing for the three times multiplier or I feel like I messed up.

Again my solution would be for TIS to create more in depth chapters that give recepies, and have the boost be something more concrete, relating to the crafting of that item lets say.

Even if they added a "general" section that gives us that multiplier, It should be much shorter 30 - 50 pages, and give a much smaller multiplier.

That would allow us to gain a quick easy buff for a much smaller time sink, and have a whole book of recipe's to read about.

1167. Ability to place sheets outside the window.

Since you can barricade both sides too, you should be able to place sheet to outside as well, as long as you have access to the window from outside – it also shouldn't be possible to uncover outside sheets from inside (which may be reason why you want them there in the first place, to prevent accidental uncover and being seen by zombies)

Make these come off in rain / snow  storms

  5. I am not certain here is the place to post this, but I wanted to bring up an issue possibly related to optimization, or maybe someone could help out.

Basically what I have noticed is there is some lag in this game (random spikes, as well as far zoom being unplay ably laggy (I just turn zoom limit on.)

zombies that are transitioning from site become very choppy as well at a distance

Thing is, when I experience lag I can see my cpu and gpu usage shoot down to like 30% respectively... so it's odd to me. Other games lag happens and the usage of these components spikes up.

hopefully I can get some insight as to why this happens.

My CPU is i7 5820k (overclocked to 4.2 ghz)

and GPU is GTX 2070 super.

Yeah man but is not the same as taking a shotgun and blow your head, there has to be some sensitivity limit on the matter.

Come on man don't be ridiculous lol

Bleach is a much more painful and violent way to go bar non in like 99.9999%, it is basically drinking acid...

I mean, if indie stone confirmed this in a post then sure whatever, who knows why they really would avoid it (ESRB, personal reasons ect) but just as a topic of contention/discussion about violence like this in games.

'Realistically' the point about drawing the line with a gun is basically complete nonsense. To illustrate that point,  I can't even think of a movie where a character drinks bleach to commit suicide, but we all know there are plenty of movies where a character or even the main character kills themselves with guns though. and I would say that isn't by accident, because while at large the numbers of people drinking bleach are certainly less than handguns, it is still certainly common enough for sure that exclusion from movies and tv probably has at least something to do with the fringe subject matter.

In this game I'll give you that you might not see the violence animated with the bleach, but I would say if that was an issue then just have the character aim the gun and then fade to black before hearing the shot. problem solved.

But yeah can't say for sure I get that rational you have given.

Anyway I wrote a bit here but to be clear, this really isn't a "make or break" feature for me personally, I am just bored and felt like sharing some thoughts on the subject. I also think having these doom and gloom moments adds to the atmosphere of the game quite a bit.

I agree with u, the only problem is suicide cuz is such a hard topic and could make the game have problems with the age ratting unfortunately only that will have to come with mod not officially on the game.

was this stated by them?... cause that is pretty silly considering we can drink bleach and kill ourselves that way...

  8. Like the title says my quick idea is to link up depression to hunger.

across the board I look forward to see how some of the mechanics might develop in updates in regards to their 'synergy', but one thing I thought of that makes sense to me is how depression might be able to effect your character's ability to eat in some instances.

I was thinking at the higher levels of depression lets say, your character really just can't eat anything unless he is possibly starving to death.

You click eat on an item, and your character just says he's 'too depressed to eat'

now you would have to alleviate this problem before eating.

I would even say your character should become too depressed to do almost anything, including some of the tasks which bring you out of depression.

The result would be having to search for means to cure your depression that are not immediately obvious to the player.

obviously needs tweaking and testing to find out exactly what those tasks are, but I was thinking TV, and radio are pretty decent being that they are somewhat hard to find at certain times, and even require batters/electricity to use.

also maybe taking a walk could effect this as well.

I hope I got the point across here without too much rambling.

    --------------------------------------------------

    TLDR

The depression mechanics might be improved by linking the ability to do other tasks with how depressed you get in the game... or maybe even OUTSIDE THE GAME!!!!! DUN DUN DUN.... :D

    ---------------------------------------

P.S even if you hate the suggestion, gimme a DAM SPIFFO!

  9. Might be able to mod this in myself with enough research but I was thinking it would be cool if we could have a hotkey that sets your character to walk in the same way they do when we right click and go to walk here but without the need for the green square and the constant clicking in that direction. just a quick hotkey press and he is off to the races
