The superhuman/tough traits are okay and i like them, however i think the speed should be fast shamblers, sprinters are impossible to play because they can hear you and smell you, so they pinpoint your ass and they wont stop unitl you need to breath and then they kill you. I seen people ran out of stamina and just flat out die, no chance to fight back, fast shamblers+superhuman+tough traits are the way to go in my opinion.

Dont even lower it a bit, its a mall, the loot is everywhere (2muchclothestho) and there is suppost to be a TON of zombies there, but the spawnpoints like the stairs ones are really really unfair cause you cant see. As far as i see, it should be more zombies in MP, and leave it as it is in SP. Renember Dawn Of The Dead (original)? They had tactics to lure the zombies and secure the mall, we should have stuff like that.
  3. If you somehow get insdie the mall, here is a protip, before you even think about using the stairs, press Q to get a nice surprise, there were like 30 zombies all packed in the stair litte floor
  4. 1-Follow the river down until you see a the railroad, go a litte more down and you will see a road. 2-Follow the road until you see a small pavment path leading down, take that path, it will eventually lead you to the race cars thing. 3- Dont enter the race cars thing, no cars in the game yet, keep moving down that path, it will split in two, take the road that is to the right. (right means where the clock side is) 4-Follow that path until you see a street, take the street, it will lead to an intersaction with 2 roads, one going to the right (clock side) and one going down, take the one going down. 5-That road will take another corner, it will have a big road that leads to the right, take that road and follow it.. 6-Eventually you will see a parking lot, go there, start serching for the mall, first you will encounter the movie theather, keep going to the right and you will see an ice cream shop, from there go down and you will find the mall. I would post pictures of how to do it, but i cant play anymore, damn graphics card.

Also some bugged walls in the ice cream shop. PC is dying send help Edit: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF YOU FIND THE MALL DONT USE THE STAIRS ITS A DEATH TRAP HOLY CRAP I notice something odd, my framerate went to the ground when i enter the mall, the zombies were waiting in each store, so i could have just sneaked by and they wouldnt have aggro on me, it felt wierd to see them like that. And that the mall is really freaking dark atleast for me, why is that? And also the 2 stairs next to each other were bugged and i fell in both of them. I dont know how to give the directions to the mall, just follow the road of the racing tracks(outside the gates), it will eventually split one to the right and left, take the one to the right where the clock is, keep going and it will split again with a road with a single white line, follow it and go down that road, ahead you will see a big road to the right, take that road and you will eventually end up in a parking lot, follow the parking lot until you see a sidewalk, and then follow the sidewalk down, you will find the mall eventually.
  6. Since is summer over here, my PC is dying because overheat, i had like a timelimit to find the new buildings: I think we need vehicles soon now... Also found the theater and the end of my character: And then the death of my character to my surprise it wasnt the undead, but a wall that was bugged and i landed in the back seats: And then my graphics card started to get to the 103 C. Time to try again
  7. I dont get what are you saying here. You want to mod in those features? What do you mean by killing children? There are no children in the game, you mean a player RPing a kid? I dont really get what is going on
  8. I wouldn't get my hopes up for the NPCs at this moment, maybe in 2 or 3 months we get to see a video about them and then wait longer with the Soon folllwing it. Also i find it kinda odd how we are going to be able to fish yet we cant get water from the river.

  10. I dont think a starting weapon is good at all in my opinion. When you start the game and you dont have a weapon, its makes you go around serching for something better than a butter knife, if you find someone with a weapon, most of the time right now you will team up with him and serch for a weapon while he helps you. But so far the server is working pretty well, good job!
  11. You can limit the 3d models to the player model. I'd rather the 2D sprites for the players though, especially since it's what i'll be focusing the majority of my time looking at. I'm really just not a fan of the 3D animations. 2D sprites are holding us back massively as well as consuming over 500 meg of video memory. If we try and retain them for the sake of a small minority who don't like how they look then it'll drag the game down for everyone who wants to have say a ton of sneak animations, extra combat swings, and a whole ton of other stuff that'll make the game a ton better to play and would probably drive the memory requirements up another half a gig by the end. Beside, we're planning to slowly migrate to a 3D map over time too, so I'm afraid you'll just have to get used to it. We had the exact same thing in the switch from 2D hand drawn sprites to 3D rendered sprites, I just find it odd you'd have issue with them considering they are absolutely identical models, both rendered 3D from the exact same 3D model and textures, the only difference being in the old system they were rendered into sprites outside the game, and now they are rendered into sprites inside the game. We could look into some kind of blending options so you can turn off the smoothness and emulate the flicking between sprites, or to remove the dynamic lighting, to better emulate how it used to look, but why you'd want to do this baffles me slightly. 2D zombie option is only remaining because of performance reasons, if we could get rid of them too we would, but they are a lot less costly in memory than the player characters cause they have much fewer anims. 3D map? Alright that is a new one. How is the 3D map going to work? (No i am not thinking about a FPS view or third person view) Like the models inside the map are going to be on 3D? lets say the fridge? Or what is the 3D map?
  12. Like viceroy said, just wait that a server resets, wait 1 day and you are going to have this situation where there is no zombies and people fighting over the loot.
  13. yeah i have to agree with this, maybe we should let it go, im actually fine just running around in and out for supplies just avoiding zombies, it seems easy, albeit there is far far less zombies now than there was previously As i see it right now is always like this: More zombies= less looters Less zombies= More looters And here with the axe, you can become a killing machine of zombies so Looter with axe= Less zombies and loot Is fun to look around for food in a server that has been up for more than 7 months in-game and you may find a dogfood can to eat. Also, i think is better to soft reset zombies more than supplies, is that even possible? I mean is the apocalypse, shit sucks.
  14. I tested the server for like 30 minutes. Why everyone starts out with an axe? that kinda kills the point of begin helpless and the need to find something to defend yourself. Also it was kinda laggy here and there, it needs a soft reset on zombies if possible, food and supplies are fine, you can find canned food if you look around the houses. Dat Ez mode with the axe tho
  15. Since the cars will be littering the street i guess you will need to move more on foot. Ramming a zombie at high speeds could be more dangerous for the driver than the zombie since he wont give a damn about begin ran over, he is going to try and eat you anyway. Oh god now that i think about it.... How the flying hell are the NPCs suppost to drive?

  17. I'm pretty sure we call that security protocols. I'm pretty sure I call that a cop-out. Have you watch 28 Weeks Later? Kinda like that where shit hits the fan and they are order to kill anything that has two legs and move to prevent the outbreak. I just love the idea of how long can a military base hold off the zombies before they get overrun. I remember reading that Fort Knox is suppost to hold out with the NPCs inside. If you get near you would get blown to pieces. Then the government sends in cleaning squads (like rogue survivor), to kill anything that moves in the city. Since Fort Knox is in the quarentine zone, they are pretty much in their own, they would die because of the massive number of zombies they are attracting when they kill a few. Then after those two incidents we might see rouge soldiers, the ones who are looking for their own safety, those are the ones who can side with you i think. But Fort Knox as a trading station? Or trading at all? No, i dont think that would be a good idea. Why would a soldier trade with you in that situation? He is better off killing you and boosting the moral of the group, for the greater good.

Also wasnt there like a comic or something like that where the smart infected would somehow infect people with bullets? Like they put saliva in the bullet or something like that. That comic was full of bullshit tho

  20. Actually what i seen this thing before in Unreal World RPG. Is not the same thing, is about the food nutrition and it was also hidden, is was something about how if you ate good food, you would need less food at the long run, like only ate really good cooked food, you would need to eat less as the time pass on. But in PZ this kinda the opposite, you start with good food and slowly downgrade into eating 1/4 of the chocolate bar you have in the fridge as breakfast. The human body is amazing when it comes down to adaptability but lets take into account that it need vitamins, calories and that kind of stuff to keep that amazing shit going on. If you eat less, you get weaker, we are talking about 5 years of adaptability to do what you said and by that point is very possible to die of starvation. I remember a book saying that even if you eat a loaf of bread everyday, you would starve cause you are not getting the necessary nutrients, same thing goes with rabbit meat, if you eat nothing more than rabbit meat, you would starve. The panic part is the one i agree and i acutally thought that was implemented, like you are getting use to see the undead, at day 1 you are scared of 1 single zombie in the street and you panic and by the first month you are used to see them. If you see a big group of them or you see them in a tight space near to you, you should panic no matter how harden are you. And i think this should be hidden like others said, maybe put Spiffo saying that as time goes on you get used to the undead or stuff like that. Same thing with the state of mind, if you go crazy,the best way to make you feel that your character is crazy is making you see or hear things in the game. Like a zombie knocking at your door, you open the door to kill him and you dont see him, or a NPC opening a door in your safehouse, you check it and its empty. The best way is to play with the player.

  22. I would love if someone could make a server with this map on. Shame we cant use mods or maps yet Actually if you host a server with the map installed then it is perfectly playable on a client with the map installed also. Just remember it does not verify this first so make sure it can't be joined by people without the mod. But yeah I have been playing it all day with my brother. Brilliant fun. Can't wait for a bigger server to have this. Oh wow i didnt knew that Wonder why no one has done a public server with this map yet
  23. I think the lognest i survived was 11 months and something of days. I didnt die, i just kinda got bored with it since i was having a good set up. I realized something, i dont play SP that much because i am afraid that i might burn my self out of PZ before the NPCs come into play. Same with Rust...and Neo Scavanger...Starbound... Think i might do another run with the Ringo map mod with a character that has only negative traits, to see how i do.

  25. I kinda did that actually lol I was trying to trap the horde insde a church with double doors, there was another horde waiting in the other side, i just rushed pass them and closed the door.
