Reflections on trapping after many hours: No crate trap or snare has caught an animal yet for me. Stick traps did well for catching birds though, and eventually box traps caught me squirrels and rabbits. At this point though trapping is not practical as most baits are perishables you will probably be farming after power is out. Even rabbits are not really worth the trade of cabbage/potato. More useful trade offs for animals would be necessary to make trapping compare to fishing/farming. Maybe like old racoon traps that used a shiny piece of metal to lure the curious racoon. Does the trapping skill (which is hard to level up enough to build better traps) increase the odds to catch animal or the animals size? This is not at all a critique of a feature I see as a work in progress, just my impression of the survival system as compared to fishing and farming. Love the way this game is going.

See the Public Servers list again after hotfix but can not join any, no Lua error, console only repeats successful compiling of shaders. Also on loading screens while joining (attempting) server, no more subtitle about Requesting, Downloading, Unpacking etc. After This Is How You Died I only have black screen with nothing showing in console but successful shaders. Everyone else joining up ok?

Since update I had problems joining any server, did full game reinstall and now also see no Public Server list as mentioned above. Show game version 27 #1 but can join no servers and not getting Lua Checksum error. Edit - Also no mods in Username/Zomboid

Firstly, make cake batter. This is flour, sugar, milk, egg, and yeast if I recall. Then with baking pan and rolling pin, put batter in pan. Once in pan you can add ingredients, some fruits and chocolate. All this is right click menu with ingredients in main inventory.

My steam updated too, dropped me off server and cannot connect again. Solution is wait until the server updates it seems. Will keep an eye on this thread for news of said update.

Now just ID Connection Attempt Failed in console, failing to connect. Is this an issue with needing the posted hotfix?

Server just go down? Should I download hotfix or not?

They exist as an item but there is no recipe established in recipes.txt file. Wonder how people keep burning my safe house in multiplayer...

Still no luck with bleach. Tried 3 soups and a stew, option never came up on soup or bleach bottle menu. Can anyone else add bleach to soup?

Can we not add bleach to soup yet? No option in context menu and looking in text files I see bleach does not have Evolved Recipe;Soup entry. Is this still coming? Can't wait to subversively create chaos.

Here is hoping the devs don't 'fix' this. Ham does not rot, nor cheese sandwich, peanut butter and I think peanut butter sandwich. Cupcake does not rot, hot cuppa also, and ice cream.

Server down? Maybe could use a reset too.

I have only played Survival in every release. I do not recall that I even tried Sandbox. Playing since 2.0q. Claim dubious at best now.
