  1. Same here, i can barely keep a job for 3 months (Not because I suck at it, last job my CO told me "Why did You have to quit instead of one of those lazy assholes, you at least did your job well" and I've been here for over 3 years. I have a near zero attention span and yet this game has me for keeps. It's kinda funny for me when I see these kinds of posts really, on one hand I get those people on the other... If I was them I would have been far too busy with another game to remember PZ exists.
  2. "Where are the NPCs damnit!" - PZ Players 10 years from now "Neeeeeeeeeeew treeeeeeeeeeeendsssss..." - Every other zombie survival game player. Edit: Thinking about it... it would be pretty easy to turn PZ into Battle Royale kinda game...
  3. PZ Will probably outlive most of it's EA rivals n terms of how long people actually care. (I'd edit random Z Surv Games onto gravestones but I'm laze and I don't have the software anyway)
  4. http://www.mediafire.com/file/bq5vqqq910n04nl/BFF.7z Taken from Steam, extract to C:\Users\YourUsername\Zomboid\mods Edit: I hope you don't mind @EnigmaGrey :S Sorry for not asking. Just now realized you might be against it like a dumbass. Will never do it again without asking, promise.

  6. You know, If I was still 16-18, had little pocket money and fck all to do, I'd be frustrated too but I'm too old to get annoyed at stuff like this precisely because I spend what I spent on this game on microwave dinners that barely have a taste alone over a typical week at my job. And that's without counting my rent, nicotine addiction, bus ticket costs etc. At least when i have a free moment I can enjoy this thing I bought for 15€ years ago and it's getting new features as time goes on so it remains kinda fresh all the time! I'm just grateful the devs keep working on the game, slow as they might, because I know for a fact I would have dropped the project years ago due to burn out, maybe I'd pay off some modder for the right to integrate and MAAAAYBE improve their NPC/whatever mod before I slapped 1.0 on the thing, released it and moved on with my life because I wouldn't have been able to take one more second of looking at the same damn code day in and day out. Call me an apologist if you want, I used to feel the frustration too, life goes on though and there are more important/real things to get pissed off at as it does
  7. You know what I used to do when I got tired of waiting for updates and got burned out? Found myself another game or thing to occupy time with. It's just what... 15€? I hope to god people who are so beyond pissed off because they bought something for 15€ and years later it didn't bloom into their dream never make a bad investment on the market. I burn that kinda money a month in cigarettes. (Probably more)
  8. Checked, I don't have an account and I see all 67 comments too. Not a single one was deleted in that thread. Maybe you have some browser extension that breaks it. Sometimes I wonder if I enjoy PZ as much as I do because I missed out on some initial hype, wasn't promised anything and bought it because "OMG Isometric Zombie Survival Game!" and just decided to stop caring about updates after a while, PZ is what it is and I like it for what it is today. These threads are not for me I'm missing out on some crucial part of the whatever makes people annoyed.
  9. Well, that's just reddit being reddit if you ask me, that entire containment site of echo chambers is like that in my personal experience. I was referring to the Forum here. Hell, even on the steam forums people don't generally get the banhammer unless they get really rude far as I've seen and I've seen quite a few "dissenter" threads. Also, I recommend this fairly fresh thread about NPC Question if you're looking for fresh Dev response @DizzyCrash https://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/23437-seriously-no-non-player-character-survivors-in-single-player-mode/
  10. Eh, 3+ years in this community and I never really saw someone banned for "dissent" as you call it unless the kind of dissent they had was flinging verbal feces at everyone around them.
  11. Eh, I've only been playing PZ since 2014 and I wouldn't say that it's stagnant. And I'm not even talking about Vehicles here. That the development is slow? Sure but it is occuring. In the 4 years that I played this game got a whole bunch of upgrades, none of which might be readily apparent if all you do is boot the game up, start survival and run around for 15 minutes 'looking' for new stuff. Then yeah, the only thing you'll notice is the higher res terrain sprites and pretty much nothing else that was added in the past 3 years. Most of which might sound insignificant but makes the game far more enjoyable on longer sessions. I'm talking about stuff like Erosion (Nature reasserting itself over time), there being a story that you can hear on the radios, the ability to really spice up your hideout by being able to move every piece of furniture, there being some really damn nice improvements to the way zombies behave and move around the map, a realistic nutrition system that eliminates the possibility of surviving off of chips alone, whole bunch of other stuff and let's not forget that vehicles are soon going to be getting dropped into the official build and they significantly alter the way the game can be played and also serve to make all of that "empty" space between various locations feel a lot less expansive and a lot less empty. Idk what build you played last but I'd suggest taking the vehicle Beta build out for a spin and just playing for a few in-game days. Or try the multi player out, it can be pretty damn fun if you're biggest turn off is the "I'm the last man on earth" aspect of the SP.
  12. Go to projectzomboid.com and read all mondoids from around the time you stopped playing to today, I read just about all of them there are a year ago out of curiosity mostly and I'm pretty sure most of the big changes and shifts in "current primary focus" were explained. At least it's what I usually do after I come back to PZ after a break, I just read the weekly updates I missed and it usually gives me a pretty good idea of what changed and why.
  13. Site where they were hosted seems to have died. I'll see if I have a copy laying around and up them all to MediaFire sometime this week.
  14. To be honest I don't even know what to say to that I too hope I'll be able to find some free time (As in, get a job that doesn't require me doing over 240h a month to be able to pay the rent, survive and have savings) because I really do miss PZ and it's community a lot. No other game and no other forum kept me interested in it for more than 3 months, I always had a short attention span and got easily bored so, at least from my perspective, I think you can imagine how awesome the game and the community around it must be for me to have stuck around for over 3 years Thank You Guys
  15. Vehicle Feedback: Add a way to control top speed. - Manual gear shifts for keyboard users, pad users can use triggers. At the very least, make it so letting W go keeps the vehicle at it's current speed until brakes are used. Make brakes work - Because it feels like they don't exist, the way they work I will never have headlights attached to any vehicle for long. (Unless I can control top speed Instead of only being able to accelerate, it always pissed me off in video games that most of them have no way to control top speed and you can only accelerate by holding down W, letting it go making it slow down so to go kinda fast but not too fast you have to tap W... it's the current year, why hasn't the technology to do something as basic as go the speed you want to go been cracked) Sound issues - Insanely annoying to get vehicle sound only on one channel because it's 0,0000005% off center of the screen (I can imagine this works fine for Surround sound users, be it Surround speakers or ones with really good headphones but it's beyond annoying when all sounds that aren't centered only go through on one channel, give people like me an option to mono the whole thing at the very least, no sound ever reaches only one ear unless someone is half deaf) - Like the new sounds btw. Not perfect but they work better than the old ones. Mechanic System - Love it so far - I can imagine it would be difficult but it would be fun if hoods and doors kept the colour of the vehicle they were taken off of after being attached to a new one.
  16. Eh, this has been an issue since the entire "Hide only the building you're close to" was implemented, it's an issue with just about every single piece of Roofing that exists outside a building, the "Room Definition" is applied to 70% of all of them on level 1 instead of ground level. Not sure if it's required for the system to work but it kinda looks bugged when various roofs are utterly black from a distance because the way the game applies visibility makes "rooms" pitch black unless you're in them or really close to them, really it might be a workaround because it would look twice as bad if there were random black areas on ground level just because there is a roomdef there. (You can see what I mean if you take a sledgehammer and remove all walls of some preset building) I'd argue it would be better to just add some code that would make the visibility system treat certain roomdefs like they are part of "outside" (lack of defined roomdef) instead of blacking them out while keeping the rest of their functionality intact. Hell add that and apply it to all "rooms" that aren't surrounded by walls from all sides. Honestly that thing has been bugging me since it was implemented.
  17. My mods are outdated and I do't have time to update because I work 15h shifts everyday :S I only get to sleep. That being said, I think that particular mod works fine, it adds a TINY chance to find additional loot on zombies, you should find something extra on 1/100 zombie you kill. I made it a while back and frankly, people made better mods that interact with popular mods and are better balanced. Quite frankly, I'd say that my mods are, at this point, only good as templates for other modders who are getting into modding to take and learn from, I can't find the time to be active in the community anymore, much less to update my mods I played Zomboid a bit in my free time and this mod worked in the most recent version in the way I described if it doesn't for you, there might be some bad interaction with another mod, I can't check for it, sorry.
  18. Is it just me that gets it the way where the engine sound is exclusively either on the left or right headphone (Depending on whether the car is more to the left/right of centre of the screen)? It's extremely annoying when the sound only comes through on one channel, to a point where I can't use vehicles when wearing headphones and I get it no matter which of the three headphone sets I have I use.
  19. NecroForge 2.6d [18.02.2018] Small Update - Download Links in the OP New Debug Vehicle - Repair All - Sets the Condition of all Installed parts to 100% Updated Vehicle Items - All the missing ones should now be there. Removed Some Bugged/Dysfunctional Stuff Sorry it took so long to get even this little bit of work done but I really barely have any free time between work and some serious RL issues. More, hopefully substantial, updates to come soon I hope. Edit: Btw, I added the Mechanic Skill boost function, probably some other stuff I forgot about, I was chipping away at updating for weeks I don't really remember all the stuff I changed/added because I forgot to write it down.
  20. @Connall Yes that's exactly what I meant.
  21. RemoveOnBreak and ReplaceOnBreak for weapons. Unless it was added in some update, not really up to speed but always wanted those. Edit: also OnBreakLua for extra options.
  22. you can enable health panel debug mode and get a bunch of extra options in the health menu. That is however on by default for admins in mp. Sorry for late reply but i work a lot and don't even have a computer. Posting from phone.
  23. Away indefinitely due to IRL.

  24. Away for a week or so.

  25. That error I ahd when bumping into stuff. It turned into this "Overflow in AABB, object removed from simulation. If you can reproduce this, please email bugs@continuousphysics.com Please include above information, your Platform, version of OS. Thanks" It shows up in the console but doesn't save into console .txt. Everything else is the same as it was before. Nothing but Ui is rendered and everything is generally broken.
