magnum2016
I would like to ask a player to create Profession starting items for example. Police Officer: Starts with a handgun (loaded) , 15 rounds of ammunition (extra) Fire Officer: Starts with a Axe Security Guard: Starts with perhaps a handgun (loaded) and some food Construction Worker: Armed with a nailed Baseball Bat and a lunch also possibly a Carpentry book. Park Ranger: Starts with a tent kit and some food
feral_donkey
Construction worker should get a hammer. One day the security guard should start with a working radio. To pass the time on his shift. Or maybe a pistol where the cop starts with a shotgun.
Aricane
Although I like the current difficulty this suggestion seems fair.
RobertJohnson
Pretty easy to do with the OnNewGame event. And then check the player:getDescriptor():getProfession()

This was done in a hurry actually. I should be making torches, now I made this :s edit: You're welcome to download it, change it or just see how it's done. Aricane
Awesome Erm, so how do i get it in the game? Oh. I always forget. You just extract the zip file in the root of your project zomboid folder. Or merge the contents into the pz folder
magnum2016
Hmm i have no clue where my PZ file is, i have been looking for it Any tips?
Rathlord
Yup, it's located under your hard drive -> your username folder -> Project Zomboid. It's not in the normal %appdata% like other program files because Lemmy hates me. Or something. I think there was actually a mod for this before, but I don't think it got updated. I, also, like the balance how it is but I can see how this would make for a fun experience.
