  1. Yes, that's the current game limit for me. Somewhere between 3 to 6 months you'll be all set. Hopefully a mix of NPCs, random events and tighter food aquisition can deal with that. But that first few months with a character are a lot of fun.
  2. Congratulations. Been playing on and off since pre-Steam. You guys and gals have come a long way.
  3. If you lure some zeds it and kill them there they might spawn with the key. Opens every lock in that place.
  4. Rarity is up but found one in the north warehouse in Muldraugh.
  5. Went to Louisville for the first time on a driving tour. Wow. Scary stuff and I was quickly lost. Relieved to leave. One report: Likely reported already but I think making a water barrel / box allowed me to keep the garbage bags. I'll have to double check. Single player.
  6. Just started playing the new version. No bugs so far but Ive already seen subtle map changes. Nice business signs and the new telephone pole or power lines are a nice detail.
  7. Not yet. They are still working through bugs. Check the thursday dev diaries for updates.
  8. Gave it a shot. Was fun. Now my safehouse has weapons displayed on tables, which looks cool. Sounds were fun. I suspect many of the sounds were designed to have zombie like noises embedded in them. Or maybe that's just me getting used to them but they made me a little paranoid. As mentioned above towing a car with an average truck did seem different / slower but I suspect it's engine quality related.
  9. It's more difficult now, especially in apocalypse, but personally I like it a lot. Getting knocked over is surprising but it hasn't killed me quite yet. My tips: Always take the hearing perk. Ive even dropped tough skin to pay for it. I clear houses with the shotgun out. Push loners down and stomp or knife. Shoot and leave if 2-3 corner you. Getting cute with melee is where you'lll die. Hunter is great. Sneak, knife, gun. I sneak or sneak run all over the place and it levels fast.
  10. Just use the worms to fish. I'm on week six and have two ICE freezers full of fish. Spear fishing is also very good.
  11. Yeah, but bayonets are coming. And I believe that one day we'll the have metalsmithing of metal spears. Just a guess.
  12. I was set up in the new building just north of the Muldraugh north warehouse. Something funny is going on. Part of the interior is registering as exterior now. part of the immediate exterior is interior. I see roofs floating over open space just south of the bld. The second story isn't cutting away while I walk inside of it. I'm wondering if leaving and coming back will fix it or if it will make all of my stuff vanish. lol
  13. Ok. Both times I was driving a van. Cargo and Spiffo's. For anyone dealing with this it's best to disconnect your trailer when you arrive somewhere and hook it up again before you leave. I came back once and the van was almost flipped.
  14. Van with cart attached was 10 feet forward from where I parked it when I went back outside. Ive seen this twice. Both times it was moved directly forward and in both cases I was inside but not more than 50 to 100 feet away before I returned to see the change. EDIT: it's probably more like 50 feet.
  15. I always take organized so I'm looking forward to that step van with a trailer. Think of the looting....
  16. Is it possible to find cargo trailers in game or do I have to spawn them manually? I wasn't sure if the notes meant that using debug mode was the only method. I see mention of a "trailer crash story". Is that the way they are introduced?
  17. Late game wise I guess I'm hoping NPCs, and keeping idiots alive, will create some of that late game content. Though some optional zombie twist would be welcome. Either mutating or turning buildings into "nests" over time which would make areas more dangerous in some way. (SOD). Anything that adds to the danger over time would be welcome.
  18. Yes, they seem to come and go. When the new patch dropped I lost a car in the driveway that I didn't use. Then it came back on reload. Then I lost four cars after I walked away and walked back. No reload iirc. Haven't seen if they'll come back. EDIT: Should be clear this is IWBUMS
  19. I had an issue with mouse clicking in combat bringing up a menu and throwing combat off. Plugging in another mouse resolved it I think. Just in case anyone has a similar issue.
  20. I seem to be getting killed (twice) when trying to fight and a menu comes up, preventing smooth character control. Something that didn't happen in .40 iirc. Is there are way to disable those click menus coming for sitting on the ground and the like? Maybe I just need to switch the the key instead of clicking into combat stance.
  21. chainsaw gloves (I have two pair made with kevlar in my RL garage)
  22. Since 41 released I haven't seen a single attachment for a pistol. Not sure if that's an issue or you just haven't rolled it back out yet. I must have collected twenty pistols and raided half a dozen gun stores and police stations. If anyone is having trouble finding magazines the best way, for me, is getting them from handguns on zombies. With the lucky trait most of my magazines (~15) came from there. Won't help with rifle magazines though. I only have one of those.
  23. I'm sure it's been mentioned but walking around can get a little janky when I'm eating. I'm not sure if it's when i'm also holding the mouse button. Maybe.
  24. Aggro was bad but I was training in a distant field so it didn't matter. In that first run I fired guns in need only around 3 times and completely left the area afterward. It was just for escapes.
  25. I don't think guns are garbage now. My best run was an Apocalypse mode Veteran who went two weeks before I retired him. He had around 600 kills, mostly with a shotgun for training purposes. He was up to level 5 shooting in two weeks of game time. Spawning is a known issue iirc. But there is more ammo than ever. Ammo in survivor homes and sometimes boxes of ammo on fallen zeds. Remember to pause between shots. You're aiming. Maybe other moodles were modifying your chances. My next guy was also a Vet and he was bit on day 8. He went out in a blaze of glory and, wow, he couldn't shoot well. I think it was because he had many bad moodles including pain.
