Solomoune
Cant load previous save. Character allways die at the downloading. Its mean you need to create new character at the same world. Sad =(
Pandorea
Iirc it has been mentioned a number of times that old saves will not be playable with this update. Here's to new beginnings!
ilikecaterpillars
It's definitely a thing that happens with new characters in this build. I haven't been able to load up new characters either and when I have, they've been invisible. xXx Edited October 17, 2019 by ilikecaterpillars
Pandorea
Take it this is still an issue even after deleting Zomboid folder and Verifying game files?
sodogewow
Have something similar, I was playing normal yesterday but when I tried to load my game today my character spawned in the same spot where I spawned for the first time, with default inventory and default stats, world stayed the same
sainttawny
I'm also having this problem. I played a few hours yesterday, died, made a new character in the same file, played a couple more hours, closed the game for the night, and this morning when I loaded the game it loaded the new character back in her starting house with her starting inventory and stats. World changes I made on the second character are still present, and after confirming that just now I quit to main menu and tried to load the file again and she was right back at the start again. I've had the exact same experience, world is fine, but character has reverted back to the initial creation state. The inventory is gone, all level progress, etc.
JayM
Same problem for me. Character returns to initial spawn point without any gear/xp i collected. (it worked fine with previous attempts). Edited October 18, 2019 by JayM

TheStrelok212
i had the same problem, but that happen to me when i was in survival mode, but after i close the game, the second character was saved, so i dont think its problem of the sandbox mode
