As a friend and I were playing on a server he was hosting, he got scratched and we wanted for me to do all our medical stuff to get more exp, so I opened the medical check just fine, but as soon as I clicked an option such as "Disinfect" or "Bandage" (it happened with both) my game would stop responding and have to close. When I rejoined the game whatever item I had selected to use was gone from my inventory and was never used on my friend, even the bottle of disinfectant which I believe was full and shouldn't have been used up.
