Not enough uses for batteries

so far batteries in Project Zomboid can only be used for flashlights. I feel that batteries should be a "Valuable Item" instead of "Something common that u put in a flashlight". Maybe they could be used to power radios or lights in houses when the power goes out. (EG you walk to electricity panel and put battery in it and boom u have lights/refrigerator power for 20 or so hours). Most people in real life would take tonnes of batteries if a real zombie apocalypse broke out. And in pz we don't even treat them as valuable items.

If I recall correctly, using batteries for radios is planned for story mode.

I agree entirely and we have numerous plans for batteries

Good luck running household lights and fridges from all the batteries you're carrying though. Wouldn't even happen trivially with car batteries.

Not to mention being able to set the batteries to Self Destruct by short circuiting them.

Okay, So I just got the idea to make a mod that would use batteries.. Unfortunately it would have ended up like my Play With It mod, where you would find objects that would require batteries that would then be used for entertainment purposes.. SO I don't think I should make it.
