  1. Ironic maybe...funny and subtle, not so much. I've just been informed in another thread (not too funny or humorously) that there will apparently be no shops in PZ. Sorry to rain on your parade, but mine got rained on, so I'm sharing the love. There shouldn't need to be shops for alarms...and what the heck man, the power's out! Your "alarms" are going to be empty soup cans strung up on a piece of twine, or a shottie with a string on the trigger attached to the front door (which you've conveniently left unlocked). By shop I mean abandoned shops and buildings such as the ones already in-game. Y'know, like the gas station, food markets, self storage, etc. There should be a shop for alarms considering so many houses have them yet there's no home security shop in either towns. You gave me another idea. There could possibly be a Tech skill that as you increase it, allows you to make better types of alarms. At first you can only make soup cans connected to twine alarms but after leveling the skill up you're able to craft better and louder alarms using a Screwdriver + TVs, microwaves, radios, phones, etc. + batteries. I mean, there could even be a profession that is more technical oriented than physical.
  2. My suggestion is that when alarms (craftable/useable) are implemented there should be a Spy/Alarm shop named Necromancer's home security. Their slogan: Alarms so loud they'll raise the dead! It's something ironic, funny, and subtle. Part of the ironic part is that you'd be using alarms to move the dead to a different location. Somewhat like a necromancer or puppeteer.
  3. I would but.... [insert excuse here].
  4. Seems like the entire modding community just up and froze in time.
  5. When I played this morning someone had followed the trail and said that it goes all the way to Westpoint. There's thousands upon thousands of Pistol ammo lining the streets but no pistols. In a world littered with pistol ammo the person with a pistol is king.
  6. "Smaller town with less custom buildings and about 1000 more zombies" Don't find it very appealing. I'd rather play Mauldraugh(?) since it's so big but everytime I play it I stick around the same areas anyways so it seems small. Kinda wish the devs would add more custom buildings near the housing areas. Maybe a Ma and Pa shop here or there.
  7. what movie is that??? (your avatar) I can't remember but I think it might be from a Harold and Kumar movie.
  8. I still don't understand why it needs to be hidden.
  9. Please allow us to dual wield Pistols/Shotguns by equipping them in both Primary and Secondary slots.
  10. Trying to add a few new servers to the server list but when I go to click ADD nothing happens.
  11. Half way through with building my amazing castle in the sky and go to add a sheet rope on a wood window and accidentally click Climb Through. There goes hours of works and dedication. Auto Save would help quite a bit. Please at least make it optional for us butterfingers.
  12. Really now? Seems like the zombies in build 25 can see through walls or something. I've snuck past a zombies and into a house and a few seconds later they're banging on the door. I know for sure that they didn't see me yet they know where I'm at even when inside the house. Like if they're banging on the door and I move to the bedroom they move to the bedroom window. That and they don't ever stop following me. They're incredibly hard to get rid of. I got so annoyed at it that I loaded all my guns up and brought all ammo boxes with me and just massacred multiple hordes from the large warehouse to Starset Motel. I went down that entire road kiting them and gunning them down.
  13. PZ devs, any thoughts on the suggestion? Like it?, dislike it?, want to hire me as a creative developer? Let me know where to send my resume.
  14. Probably but what if the skill didn't give normal exp only skill exp? Wouldn't that solve the problem?
  15. Adaptability does sound much better.
  16. Are you using the iwillbackupmysave beta test branch on steam? If so then try deleting all your saves (just move the folders out of the saves folder if you want to keep them). Where exactly is this map? South of Muldraugh? I've reached the edge of the map and haven't found anything.
  17. Ahh, I see. I'll go ahead and give this a try. Thanks.
  18. Look really cool but why does it replace Maldraugh? Are you able to have it as a completely separate map to choose from?
  19. How do I add these building/new maps to the game?
  20. Basically, the Survivor skill is on the skill list along with carpentry, cooking, sprinting, etc. Exp that goes toward the Survivor skill comes from the amount of days that you've survived. Ex. 1 day = 5 exp What the skill does is increases your tolerance to Panic, slightly decreases your base Hunger and Water needs. The reasoning behind this skill is that as days, months, and years go by a person has survived long enough that he/she will have gotten use to the apocalyptic world around them. The person has seen everything, to the point were what used to be scary isn't. He/she has killed hundreds of zombies and isn't as terrified by them anymore (in time). His/her body has also slightly adapted to the shortage of food and water. Similar to how the human body goes into survival mode if it isn't getting proper nourishment. The person no longer eats normally due to having a limited supply of food and water. I was also thinking that the amount of Sleep required should be slightly decreased also. If someone has survived in the apocalypse he/she is going to be a much different person mentally and physically. Currently, your character can survive for years and take on everything that the apocalypse has thrown at them but the only difference between you and Joe Newbie is that you can make one hell of a chair or table. The world has changed and his/her mind and body should adapt to it in time.
  21. Who cares about restricted movement when you are invulnerable to hoards of zombies. Charge into a massive hoard shouting "Have at me naives!" while swinging your Zweihander. Right before you're pushed over and smothered to death by the thousand plus zombies who decided to give the dashing knight a hug All comments about this and that aside, bumping into a band of NPCs in replica medieval armour, no matter how horrible and loud it is, would be hilarious. Particularly if they tried to hold you up and spoke in ye olde english I wouldn't even be mad if the devs added these guys to the game as an Easter Egg.
