  1. How do you guys feel about a hotkey function to pick up/drop corpses? Go next to desired creature: Button 4 -> pick up Button 5 -> drop/toss it (like into dumpsters) Rightclick/UI can really be a pain somtimes, at least for me.
  2. I personally dont need the garbage thing to be more realistic. In my own game routine i just miss a quick and easy way to get rid of unwanted stuff. In some cases its cool to make things realistic, but about garbage in PZ... id prefer the simple way, like i suggested in my first post. About burning garbage: Remember the bigger wheeled orange dumpsters? It could work similar as the campfire does. 1. Put all your garbage in the dumpster 2. Right click -> indicates 0% - 100% Full -> indicates "add fuel" -> indicates "burn garbage" 3. Burning animation, as garbage level indication goes slowly to 0% Dinnertime!!! Please let me burn my virtual garbage first!
  3. They actually have this method ingame already. Try rightclick on a bowl with food, you can empty it.... right into nothing. Im with you. All flamable items should be usable as fuel for campfires maybe. I have no idea about the recycling of hard materials, say crowbars, stone. This isnt possible by hands only.
  4. What about stuff that doesnt burn? Broken Crowbars? Tools, Stones... At the moment i use to burn my garbage with the zombies, but it feels all a bit funky that way. Put stuff into zombies trousers poket, and then set the creature on fire? Broken weapons, like crowbars, butter knifes. Empty batterys, dirty rags, also seeds that multiply with harvesting. You also find lots of stuff twice when foraging, like stones. The mess gets bigger and bigger the more lategame you play.
  5. Put stuff into garbage can -> right click -> "empty garbage can" -> stuff disappears Would be helpful to clean up that mess. Thanks!
  6. Hello there, a thing that makes cars more dangerous is the tire variable. You should be able to get flat tires from different reasons: - wheelspin/burnouts - unstable terrain To fix it you need a toolkit, car jack, intact wheel and carpentry skills. Maybe there will be winter- and offroad tires, that can change the driving quality.
  7. Hey its Benson, wanted to share some ideas about making the winter in PZ more cooler. Ice: - the water in all sinks, toilets should be able to freeze and no more be able to be exploited in this condition - the small seas should be able to freeze. no more fishing possible, but you can walk on them - the river is always free of ice Snow: - player should be able to catch huge amounts of snow, and to liquify it (tainted water) - you can draw arrows in the snow, for "orientation" (until it snows again...) - maybe visible footsteps/tiretracks? Health: - player should be able to die from cold - cold wind has bitten my flowers - catching a cold from cold
  8. My suggestion is to add a second feature to the campfire: campfire/add fuel/* campfire/disposal/* <- to delete garbage items You must be joking. Ripped sheets are even more common than Zombies, so why waste precious water to keep it?
  9. "Metal Gear Solid" had a nice aging method: There was a Boss Enemy, called "the end" who could die from old age when you did not play the game for a longer time. Every loading of the savegame included a check of the internal clock of the operating system and the timestamp from the last save. Too many weeks in between and the boss was gone forever. At least in theory, PZ could use such a method to do some evil maths. Like recalculation of the zombie population, when loading a savegame. ....Speaking about more and more Zombies after each day passing by in real time. Another cool Idea about this, is that it would be possible to simulate a PZ Singleplayer Game in realtime. If a savegame loads, it could synch to the internal clock of your OS. Say you did not play for 3 days, and load your game, erosion and zombie population could be adjusted to 3 days in the future ingame. Maybe this aspect is going too progressive, but i just wanted to share this idea.
  10. Noise? Zombie Hordes? I wouldnt risk my characters life for electricity. But its good bait for new players.
  11. Items that count as "garbage": -unrepairable broken weapons -useless foraging finds -rotten food -increasing number of plant seeds from farming -dirty rags
  12. As time goes on, Zomboid World seems to move towards a thrashy, messy future. Blood, maggots and flies all arround!! 1. I usually burn trash and needless foraging findings and useless plant seeds within corpses. Is there another method to get rid of this stuff permanently? 2. Id like to recommend a industry building full of bleach products in Louisville for the furture builds. Would be nice to find enough cleaning stuff to scrub the neighbourhood around my safehouses.
  13. Survivors, imagine yourself in the situation of project zomboid at the first time. Wouldnt you try to find out what kind of situation this is about, before you go fishing, catch water or eat animal meat? Two very important questions for long term survival are: Whats the host of the plague, besides zombies? How did the first transmission to human happen? Say its more rabies style, and origin of the virus is also found in rats, raccoons etc. so eating raw rat meat could also kill you, besides from kissing zombies. Or maybe the virus is in unsafe water from some lake on the map. Or in mushrooms like in "the last of us". Or in the air? Maybe its a desease from italy, so 2-3 pizzas are contamineted. To find out the origins of the plague, notes with insider informations could be genereted as items, or something written in the newspapers. Also dedicated broadcasts on TV/radio, from build 33. Is this worth being added to the game? I like it because it would make the whole gameplay a bit more dangerous, and the lategame more interesting.
  14. Whats the deal? If you dont like to use a car, just ignore it and enjoy the show from the distance. Being silent gives you big strategic advanteges. But you can hardly mow down Zombies with a bycicle.
  15. Survivors, Zomboid Team, in the apocalypse its important to check your log walls or fences from zombie-damage in your daily management routine. It might be a good idea to implement something to visualize the current stage damage of such structures. Thanks and keep up the quality!
  16. Say i have a pump and a connected generator: Where is the water supposed to come from, if the regional waterworks are broken down? There wont be any water, if the whole system is out of pressure.
  17. Great! There really has to be some kind of electric car in the game! I use 3 silent golfs carts at work and they are very successful like to spot slacking employees, or going offroad. They have a charging time, but in the apocalypse electric cars could become very useful as for the low maintenance needs, independence from gas and just being ~silent~.
  18. I see. But why are you so obsessed about collecting RAIN in the first weeks anyway? Even if the water is shut off, all the sinks, toilets and water bottles in houses still give a limited water supply for at least a year of survival. I guess there will be some more ways to collect rain in the later updates. Untill then you should better start cleaning up that mess you have left.
