1- im training my carpenty on the lake cabin. all i have to do is put the traps in the morning , forage until very tired modle, then saw/cut tress with stone axes or normal axes . And in the end of the day retrieve the traps.

I played around with some more flavorful names on the foraging books, using this list instead of the normal beginner/intermediate/advanced/expert/master progression.

Oh.... another tip for you, use the fishing nets and leave them in the lake, go check on them twice a day youll get some lil fishies
not much but sometimes you could get 10 of them, 10 fishies x -6hunger = two meals You should survive the winter no problem, unless your neighbors come over for supper
oh i do have 3 nets and i know eth recipe . i only eat when the moddle peckish appears so its likes 10 meals to me

I tested out how the cold system works and you can't die directly from being cold. Here's the settings I used Sandbox - No zombies - Temp, Very Cold - No clothes. A lot of the moodles are only really good for RP purposes and for giving us a good sense of what to watch out for when they are functional.
good to know i can't die from cold, still cold isnt afecting much now. im more worried about hordes in crucial passage points.
So i just reached December on the world im playing. after 4 character death, my 5 th character have been alive for a month, and this is the first time im playing on winter. i tried to google some information but there isnt much.
my main concern is to don't die from cold when im sleeping, if thats even possible
i barricaded all windows and closed their curtains, i read somewhere it helps.
so do i have to spent 3 months around the campfire or i can be more flexible during the winter?

ICE FISHING Wear a sweater or get the hydrocraft mod and wear a 25 temp. jacketwell i have the tool to make holes in the ice, but its not usable.
my rules are no mods and always survival mode
but thanks for the tipsyou don't need mods to go 'ice fishing' just grab your fishing gear and go to the lake

As we get seemingly closer and closer to being able to create custom 3D models for Project Zomboid, I felt as though it was appropriate to start giving some resources to those that wish to delve deeper into the clockwork of the game.

I'm suggesting you could maybe try this out, it finds and installs drivers that Microsofts Driver Updater cannot find. Trust me it's legit and totally free and its not one of those "hey we found drivers but if you want them you have to $$$$$$$ up" ... no this is legit and from IOBIT. I have nearly all their programs for months now...
I've managed to update over 12 drivers, including my Intel Inegrated HD Graphics Card Driver which Microsofts Updater COULD NOT find, and NOR ACER (laptop is acer) didn't have it on their site either and couldn't find it.

I would suggest everyone to not use Windows 10 now, because a lot of games can don't work, because it's a new system.
^ what he says... I'd wait until Windows 10 is officially released this Autumn... And Direct X12 should be released around there also !
:DI haven't tried Win10... can't you right-click and go to the Project Zomboid.exe properties and set it to run in windows 8 compatability mode??

Well sense this is my first post im not sure how all these are done, but simply put. HOW, HOW HOW HOW have people not come up with the idea for multi story houses? For one it would add a new twist to the game itself, large sky scrapers and such. New homes and getting caught up in one, no way you as zombies are coming from above and below. So you have to climb out the window somehow lowering yourself to the ground, or die trying.
Something amazing On the PZ website is them adding creative mode, so we as a community would be able to make those large City's we have always wanted. And with this mod we can actually make larger homes, taller, maybe even basements and bunkers? But for the beginning just multi story would be a wonderful start, let me know what you think!
I tried building a super multi story tower... you are LIMITED to how many levels the tower can be.. I have it at 5 levels and cannot climb the stairs to the 6th level the game blocks it....
I would definitely love to play with a community on a building server in which we could build the RP/Story City of our dreams and then play it afterwards all together

Think of all the zombie based flicks out there. Whats in common? -> A VIRUS, a extremely fierce and strong pathogen that is INCURABLE and very fast. Now think of the zombie who bit your foot, his saliva enters your wound as he bites. Maybe he even has blood in his mouth, which is a VERY EFFECTIVE way of transmitting a deadly pathogen.
So why do we die in PZ? because zombies transmit upon there blood, saliva or bits of their skin and/or nails (scratches,) into your System. The blood, saliva, skin and nails have an Active Virus in them and it is transferred into your blood stream.
Scratches why the 25%, imo, ? because when a zombie scratches you there are key factors taken into account. Do they break through the skin deep enough to reach the bloodstream? did they leave a bit infected skin from under their nails in your bloodstream? did their nails break and enter the bloodstream? if so, you're infected. if not, you're that lucky 75%er.
This makes total sense

I agree that system MUST be revised. ex: zombies will attack a certain part of the wall if you are behind that part of the wall and making enough noise to attract nearby zedz...
instead of:
ex; Player X is sleepin' on second floor and down below on the other side of the house zedz pass by;
"oh hey a new wall... let's go fuck his shit up now ! ''

Have you met a depressive person before?
They literally don't care about themselves and are out for a deathwish most of the time, depression should be a HUGE factor in a game like this, it should be something you want to keep away at all cost, something that if you got it in your character, you are going to be in deep shit.
Depression is not feeling bad one day and then go jogging and cutting wood, depression fucks your psyche up so bad you don't want to eat, get out of bed or even speak to your loved ones, hell even wanting to die in your sleep is one of the things they wish for.
Depression should fuck you up if you don't manage it well, one thing is having long periods of unhappiness and other is just plain out depressed.
I have lost friends and uncles to depression, that is why i kinda know what are they capable of when in that state, thought all of them, they all just wanted to die deep down inside and all of them did in some way or another. (Hang themselves, anti-depressive overdose with alcohol, got ran over by a car because he didn't felt the need to run and died and others)
And we are speaking in a world where shit is bad but at least your negibour/son/girlfriend or best friend is not a walking corpse trying to eat you.
Emm, yea. I officially have depression, and i don't want to die or something like that, i'm just sad by most of the time (i'm thinking too much about things that i can't control, and btw i have 120 IQ ((but i'm 14 years old, so you know, IQ isn't the knowledge, this is why my english may be a little crappy)), so.... i'm sad because i'm thinking too much ;d), but i agree with "friends don't want to eat you" part though.
And thinking about killing yourself when you're in bed is something another than defending yourself when some corpses want to eat you. I think that person with super-depression would still defend yourself (survival instinct or a simple reaction).

Depression makes you not able to enjoy anything...at all.I'm actually enjoying a lot of things, for example i like watching some fun guys like SeaNanners, PewDiePie (and another guys from my country that you wouldn't know anyway), playing games or talking with people. But you know - that's just me, there is a lot of people that are sad 100% of time.
Then i don't know what kind of depression you have.
The one i am talking about is the one of losing a love one, shit hitting the fan so bad that you see no escape, the death of a close one and just the feeling of loneliness and hopeless of a better day tomorrow.
In a world where like i said shit is not looking or ever will look good, where every day you might die, where people you loved and everything you once loved is lost and you might see their rotten body walking in the streets, the will to live should be the light in the dark that you wan to keep for as long as possible.
Look at how people live their lives right now, dunno how reliable this source is (http://www.healthline.com/health/depression/statistics-infographic), 80% of people have some sort of depression without treatment (i hate pulling sources from websites).
I guess you are really getting treatment, but mid to severe depression is the one i am speaking about that causes you dont wanting to get out of bed or the feeling of begin tired all the time.
