  1. Yes me too. Probably no more than 2 people with one NPC standing guard and another who either joins me to go looting or who barricades and farms. I'm wondering how good their AI will be, e.g. an NPC is coming back to the safehouse with loot, bringing an entire horde with her/him because she/he went in a straight line and not zigzagging and losing the horde.
  2. Grab X seems a good solution for this.
  3. I think berry bushes are static, as they are on the world map. I usually don't bother with berries unless I'm desperate for food, berries only give +7 Hunger and are really only useful when you're very hungry. here's a spot with loads of berries (I collected about 120 of them until I found out they're not really that useful) http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.6168839709343715,0.26831225375697726,134.44444444444446 It would be nice if you could combine berries and bread to make a jam sandwich.
  4. Nice guide! I'll try setting up at the unfished school sometime. I never got around to farming because there's no method of preserving the crops, save for a few mods I might try. With your guide I might give it a try. Nice research BTW: finding out what diseases your plants and the triple walls, never thought of that). PS: this saves me the trouble of figuering it all out myself
  5. Actually this is very true, and a good point. 2013 and I would even say 2012 to boot, have both been very disappointing years for gaming. This year the most. I'm the same; trying to remember any games I bought this year and I've not bought any with the exception to Starbound. It's definitely been a year of anticipation though. Lots of games that I'm keen on are still in current development/pending so I reckon 2014 will be a mildly good year. If GTA V comes out on PC within that year, that will be an added bonus. Yeah, I'm waiting for GTA 5 for PC as well . This year I've bought some games like SR4, Starcraft Hots, DI: Riptide. The only game I didn't quite like was Dead Island Riptide.
  6. Why does everyone always make fun of us . We brew good beer and make tasty chocolate and waffles!
  7. I want to like the Dead Linger, but just can't at this stage of development. At this time i'm not willing to invest 19 € into it, that's too steep for what i'm seeing right now. Appareantly the game was much more stable at the 009 build than at the 010 (engine change). It's to be expected that the game is very buggy right now, the developers have released it to Steam too early in its production cycle. People who are just now discovering Dead Linger will be put off by all the glaring bugs still in the game. It looks a bit prettier now, but the thing that's offputting for me is the sterility of the game world (i've made another post about this) due to it being randomly generated. Seeing this, I prefer Project Zomboid's hand crafted world because it feels more real and although it's not always something new each time you play, it's still more fun for me. I might buy Dead Linger 1.5 to 2 years in the future, but the developers are planning to increase to price to 30 $ so we'll see. PS: Project Zomboid seems ok for a steam release now, but I understand wanting to wait for NPC's. Are there any plans to raise the price for PZ to say 15€ when it's finished?
  8. Yes, that's what I sometimes take too. For the moment short tempered and light drinker don't really have an adverse effect. Usually i don't take any negative traits and no positive ones besides those two.
  9. I can make boring, simple, tasty soups, but I can't find a guide to making hearty or complicated soup. Does anyone know one?
  10. This. I would see PZ multiplayer as a 4-player Coop.
  11. I'm looking forward to multiplayer so I can play with some friends or my sister if I can convince her. Solving the sleeping problem will be really hard in my opinion: there could be people who (in populated servers) go around at night and break into safehouses and kill the occupants. Sleeping in shifts would solve the problem, but that would mean that the one on guard would have to sit around like 15 minutes irl for the next shift.
  12. I'm afraid my English isn't good enough for that. I'm Flemish Dutch, which technically is the same as Netherlands Dutch (we have a language union), but in reality the Flemish and Dutch use different idioms, some general words and pronunciation. I don't think two different translations would be necessary though. (type plekpot in the Dutch google translate and use the text to speech function) To others: Afrikaans is indeed mostly derived from 17-18th century Dutch dialects (from the settlers of the Dutch East India Company) and native languages such as Xhosa. PS: I just noticed someone else is already working on the Dutch translation.
  13. Nice, I'm Belgian and can understand almost all of this. These player translations are awesome.
