Console.txt file missing.

My friend can't launch the game and we are pretty sure that it is because his console.txt file is missing in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid.

 

Any idea if there is a way to get the file back since we both have no idea.

That looks like a permission issue as the game cannot create the settings folder.
Try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -cachedir=C:\Zomboid > Start the game

If it does not work, can you instead copy or screenshot the contents of the CMD screen that shows up when you use it?

Also to add on to this it appears that the whole Zomboid folder is missing.

Can you try using Alternative launching ?
