Boootch
Will zombified comrades on multiplayer actually turn into zombies? It would be an awquard situation having one of your housemates showing the early signs of zombification. Perhaps you'd still let them sleep in the garden... or perhaps you'd get paranoid and kill the guy with a cold. Come on, every great zombie movie has the guy who pretends he didn't get a zombie bite...! ps. Will you be able to see the health and emotional status of your friends? Kajin
They can turn into zombies, but they won't be controllable. Once they zombify, it's back to the character creation screen for them.
Boootch
Awesome. That's good enough for me.I hope we'll be able to monitor each other's stats.
Ewok
They can turn into zombies, but they won't be controllable. Once they zombify, it's back to the character creation screen for them. It'd be nice if, even though they aren't controllable, you could load the save in a 'spectator' mode just to see how the zombie you is getting on in (un)life. PintLasher
Awesome. That's good enough for me.I hope we'll be able to monitor each other's stats. I hope we can't! But visual clues would be a nice touch, like turning slightly paler and more "zombie" coloured. But if they do this then I hope they add it for catching a cold too and that would give people a nice way to temporarily put off a mercy killing For a status check I hope they have just simple words like sick, damaged, bleeding, healthy. Rather than bitten, scratched etc, maybe you should be able to see those things before a bandage goes on? But once it's covered up you don't get to see whether it's a scratch or a bite or a gunshot wound a cut or a burn.
Daazx
Yeah I love to think that anyone I meet could be bitten or my own teammates are a time bomb ready to go off at the wrong moment it adds to the expirience
Ethan Furman
"Walks in safe house," hey guys got the supplies and...uh "sees that everyone is a zombie," yeah think i'll just leave now.
CatGuitarist
Ethan, i was JUST ABOUT to post that! What a coincidence. No, you shouldn't see your friends status, the game is going to be the most realisticly possible. Or atleast that's what the developers intend. If you want to hide your bite, fine. But friends will note your inability to run and your inaccuracy. They will have doubts until they suspect a little too much and put a shot right on your head. Or, you will turn, and maybe scratch a guy or two... But then your zombified body will die. Of course, you will have created a new character by that point! Kajin
Here's how I suspect being bit will work in multiplayer:"Hey guys, I've been bit and I'm showing signs of infection.""That sucks, man. Give us all your stuff. We'll give it back to you when you create a new character.""Awesome. Mind kicking me out of the group? I think I'll hide this bite and try to join that group of NPCs with all that nice stuff. Drink a bottle of bleach when no one is looking. See what happens."
