DudeWithPants7
I was thinking about adding like extra ammo types for your guns. Shotgun- Buckshot- Pros- Has more damage than original shotgun shells Has more Knockback than original shotgun shells Has more force than original shotgun shells Cons- Makes more noise than original shotgun shells Is rarer than original shotgun shells Less accurate then original shotgun shells Pistol- Hollow Point Rounds- Pros- Has the ability to go through more than one target Has more damage than normal 9mm rounds Cons- Is rarer than normal 9mm rounds Has less force than normal 9mm rounds I have more Ideas for other types of ammo for shotgun and Pistol like Dragons breath, Flechette, Birdshot, Frag, Incendiary, Magnum, andTracer. If I forgot any please post them below. Need help on how I could implement these into the game. Lua scripting ect.
PhantomWarlock
Nice idea! I didn't know there was an ammo type called "Dragons Breath. Well we learn things every day...
DirectorPr
Hollow point actually is mainly used for unarmored targets, and isn't used for penetration. However FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) rounds are used for penetration and armor. They pass through targets, hollow points break off into targets trying to cause as much damage in a broader spectrum as possible.

Yeah, gotta love incendiary shotgun rounds. Nothing like spraying a healthy dose of pure fire into the face of your enemies.

FMJ would go through a target making it possible to hit another target behind it..

Hollow points do much damage to unarmored targets, and have very little penetrating power for armor. FMJ have good armor negating effects, but awful with unarmored targets. FMJ would do less damage to someone without a kevlar vest as it would penetrate through them. If you're gonna do ammo types, gotta do it right. Might want to make sure Pistol Hollow Point can only go through 2 or 3 targets, or else people would just end up lining up zombies in a conga line for 7 or 8 kills, depending on the horde/choke point. 2. The idea of bullets that make more noise than their standard counterpart seems kinda pointless. A bullet being fired is enough to draw plenty of zombies from an insane distance (know from experience, R.I.P Plasma Man, 27 days) 3. I would so use incendiary ammo! Just my two cents
Aardman55
Somewhere I read, that being burned alive feels like, I quote "A thousand cheese graters slowly grinding onto all of your nerves". Just thought I'd throw it in here... And yet I still love molotovs and anything that can launch fire onto stuff (in other words, thousand yes's to incendiary ammo)
