  1. Maybe Kerosene heaters, and the ability to make a stone or sheet metal oven. That'd definitely be interesting to see what people could create with sheet metal, could use it to reinforce walls, windows, barricades, or make entirely different structures.

Being that Rick Grimes in the comic books is originally from Cynthia, Kentucky, it'd make sense.
  3. I think it'd be good to have a distinction between arms. Like maybe a military grade Assault Rifle would be better than a Civilian Grade Assault Rifle? The Military Grade Assault Rifle would last longer than the civilian, and hold more rounds, and come with a scope. It'd also be nice to see a revolver be also added into the game that would take .44 or .357, they don't have to be named revolvers just a nice simple one would be nice.
  4. I dont live in america but I doubt a G36 will be easy to find in the US... I've seen 2 being sold nearby. In the state of Georgia. At first I thought the post was the HKG3, but no G36s are kind of rare, but not necessarily impossible.
  5. There is no end to the game. Its a story that progresses as you the player tells the story while the AI Director throws curve balls, fast balls, and sometimes just plain straight balls for you to progress through. Now its not complete which is why it seems like there is no end, and people have already reached end game to die of old age, and that simply won't be the case once the game is finished. This game is basically a book with your thesis statement written, and the rest is blank for you to pick up the pen and start writing. Those games are most fun to me, the ones where I get full reign of how my story goes. The Fallout and Elder Scrolls Series are my favorite type of games because I get to identify with the character and write my story. Do I want to be the sadistic character who murders everyone I see? Or be the humane character that saves everyone I see? The possibilities are endless in these games. After NPCs are added think of the possibilities of meeting your demise... RaidersA Mutiny among your communityRobbery gone badYour wife (If marriage is added) turned zombie and ate your brainsYour right hand man shot you in the leg and left you to dieYou were choked out and left unconscious and some sadist came and finished the job!Etc. Etc. Etc.Etc. Etc. Etc. The possibilities are endless! I don't see why you would want some kind of linear ending, or score at the end? It doesn't make sense, why have a number track your progress as you can judge it for yourself or come on to the forums and post your progress! Also, a linear ending that tells you what happens seems kind of lame, especially when you have no control over it. I enjoy influencing my story line, I know it will end, but I can enjoy it now and make it mine. Project Zomboid isn't about dishing out a linear experience with only a few different endings, they're setting it up to where it can be a multitude of endings all caused by you. And I heard that you said you wanted different endings or there could be, but the only problem with that is there will be. You just have to be patient for them to add new features in which will cause you to die. There is no escape from Project Zomboid, their whole theme is you will die, and really that is the case. In an apocalyptic scenario we'll never find the Garden of Eden, or escape away from the violence. We have to live with it, deal with it, SURVIVE it. The true rest and end only comes when you have died, and that's what they're trying to get at. None of that movie cookie cutter fade to black, exit the theater type stuff. Its all 100% you fight til the end. (NOTE: My interpretation of The Indie Stone's goals)
  6. If you are suggesting it, it is already on the list, if you are simply stating fact, I totally agree. Cheap gun, not so cheap ammo (any more from what I gather) Also, I can't seem to figure my current issue out... so I am taking a break. I will return to it tomorrow after I let my brain rest... If anyone else wants to take a go at why it isn't working... http://www.mediafire.com/download/m7k4nzm9msjap2q/ORGM.zip Whoops, I must have missed it on the list of to add. Well I'll see if I can come up with any guns that would be good to add, both military and civilian.
  7. Mosin Nagant, most popular cheapest rifle you can buy on the civilian market.
  8. Nightcrawler, there can only be one creepy business man, and let his name be known as Patrick Bateman! What is your favorite game of 2014? (P.S. you can't pick Project Zomboid.)
  9. It'd be a cool little bag to see. Should it be high on the priority list? No, but I think it should be added. Easy way to tell whose the medic in your group.
  10. I see what you're saying. Like a First Responders bag. That makes sense, a small light weight medical bag, when they add vehicles it would be interesting to find one laying inside an ambulance or later if they add more to the town in a fire station.
  11. Well considering you'd wear a trench coat, or something along the lines between your skin and the actual gore I don't see how it wouldn't work. Literately zombies eyesight are shot, their sense of hearing too, only thing they have left is scent, but even that is rotting away every second too. It would work, you just don't rub in the scratch or cut.
  12. Probably diseases, old age, and just the occasional rude raider questioning the character of your mother.
  13. It could filter into the weapon attachment things and hotkeys. Hotkey the weapon you want, without the holster attachment its a slow process of pulling your weapon out of your bag/inventory, with the holster attachment its near instantaneous.
  14. Asthma, Diabetes, High/Low Blood Pressure, and more diseases that require medicine every so often. It'd be nice to have something to go get every once in a while. You'd need to go to the pharmacy and pick up insulin, go get an inhaler, raid for blood pressure medicine, and also it'd just be cool to see common virus' like Strep and etc. Also, Pneumonia if you stay out in the rain too long, or hang around inside for far too long.
  15. Also plenty of research books to level up skills, then there's a clinic at most universities with medical supplies, also there are their sporting programs which would have plenty of melee weapons, and not to mention the abandoned dorms that would carry food, alcohol, books, technology, drugs, and etc. all for the taking so you can inhabit it.
  16. It'd be cool to see like miniature maglight flashlights that don't have as bright of a range as the big bulky ones do.
  17. They're certainly not out numbered by ones that don't. Every single gun store in my state has at least one. I do agree, they're mainly sold online, but yet still you're going off your states stats I'm going off mine, and Kentucky, well we'll have to have a native come and give us that knowledge. Also, you're basing your logic off words of others for suppressors in the military, if you've seen photographs, or actual combat videos a good bit of them they have suppressors, but I do agree a good chunk of them don't, but that doesn't mean they don't use them at all. Suppressors even go far back as to use in the military to as back as World War I.
  18. Military uses suppressors as well, I wouldn't be surprised if they had them on deck on a base, and majority of gun shops do carry them anyways, even if the not an overwhelming number of the population own them, every gun store has at least one or three. I've even seen one carry fifteen, then again it was a massive gun store/range that was very busy, and then there's the guy that purchases them because they're fun and neat to own. So in reality, suppressors aren't that uncommon, but somewhat are? Does that make sense? For gameplay value it could decrease a small amount of noise radius, like instead of the pistol shooting at lets say 250 cells, it now shoots at 175 cells.
  19. They do make cheap lightweight flashlight attachments that barely throw off your accuracy. Only problem is batteries and keeping them charged.
  20. Updated. Apologies for the leave of absence, I just pretty much like died off the face of the earth, but I came back to write a little more at least. Thanks to Enigma for unarchiving the thread.
  21. The world is a sadistic place already, an apocalypse will make it even more of a terrible place. Not only would you have zombies ready to rip your throat out and eat it, you have raiders that just wanna rip your throat out and every limb you've ever owned. No matter how much you want a player friendly enviorment you're leaving out one of the key parts to an apocalyptic world, psychopaths and raiders. They're going to be there no matter how much you want them not to. If you want the game to be realistic you must make some sacrifices in order to do that. In Project Zomboid once you have a self sustaining base there is no purpose other than to sit inside while zombies moan around outside, its boring. Raiders and psychopaths keep it interesting. They see your base, they want what you have, you're at war with a group of raiders instead of sitting in your base doing crossword puzzles. Long story short, raiders and psychopaths are gonna be there whether you want them or not. The most you can do is be a good person, form a strong community of friendly players, and try to decimate bandit opposition, I mean its the only way you can do it without limiting gameplay opportunity. TL;DR condensed version, Can't take the banditry out of an apocalypse game.
  22. Maybe as an easter egg? One spawns on the map randomly, and when fount its description is, "Even when in darkest times.... Aww hell, its just a bottle of urine, don't drink unless dire situations."
  23. Not trying to be rude or anything, but i don't think a rural countryside would be able to get a weapon that (if im correct) is illegal in the US unless it is ILLEGALLY exported to the US(AA12). But the other 3 would make sense, though i suggest that the M60 is a rare find. AA12 is possible to find in the U.S., the semi-auto variant is anyways, but you could own a full auto with a tax-stamp in Kentucky and most states with lax gun laws.
