Project Zomboid not working on steam

Hello.

I have played Project Zomboid for a very long time and have recently added it into my steam library via desura.

However when I try to play it I get this error and the game closes after:

I have tried looking for help but have not found anything relating to my issue.

 

My computer specs:

Windows 7 64 bit

3 GB RAM

2.3 GHz Dual core processor

 

Please help I really enjoy this game

I have a windows not a linux

Are you using the normal steam, or the steam beta version? I've never seen this happen on windows before

Right click on Project Zomboid, go to Properties. Locate the tab that will reveal in Explorer the contents of the Project Zomboid folder (view cache?)

Try running the game directly from the ProjectZomboid32.exe file.
