kill crash

hi there, lately i've been trying out some of the new maps on steam in single player.

often when i kill a zombie my game well crash;(

may be something i did to corrupt my game? I also on single player get a weird red box that pops up in bottom right of my screen that tallies up how many keys i have hit. ? any thoughts?

Are you using a weapon mod that, perhaps, adds new sounds to the game?

Do you have any mods installed? that's usually what causes the little red boxes which mean that there is an error somewhere. Try verifying the integrity of game cache and see if that works (note this will remove All map mods that you have downloaded and will require them to be reinstalled unless they are from the steam workshop but not too sure about that). I've never experienced any crashes in my game so I don't know what causes that.
