Check out Ambrosios's awesome .PDF tutorial on "Multi-tile design and implementation within PZ/TileZed" http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/6312-custom-tilesets-and-fences-for-pz-map-editor/ --- PZ uses multi-tile .png files for their buildings, props, etc ... What template do they follow ? Here's an example which illustrates my confusion: File: appliances_refrigeration_01.png Location: ../Tools/Tiles Pay attention to how all the artwork fits within 64x144 tiles ... Yes, there is some deviation - it's not all centered, but let's look past that for a moment Pretty, huh? OK, so the next image is what confuses me. This next image is a copy of "appliances_refrigeration_01.png" A perfect copy, mind you - I made it in windows explorer and renamed it "uhm.png" Now check how it imports ... pay attention to how the first row is OK - even the second row looks ok - then things start to deviate on the third row and look nasty. Their spacing is seemingly random and follows no uniformly-spaced convention I can discern. H3RB4LS, a member here made a similar post here with the same concerns. Q: How else could I change these settings to achieve a 'correct' result ? Q: Is there an "auto tile" aspect to these settings that I've overlooked? Q: Should I just turn off my Obsessive Compulsiveness and just ignore how PZ's artwork breaks the rules? Oh, here's the import dialogue settings I used ... I admit I'm new to all this. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
