  1. How do I go about making my character not an admin now? I have tried using /setaccesslevel "user" "none" and that does not work. The text says "can not set access level on you". When trying to do this through the server console it says "user can not be found" I just want to the play the game. I don't want to run around at warp speed as an admin. Ugh. Can't play now... EDIT: I was able to remove admin by going to the admin panel, modified the user database and deleted admin from my character. Then relaunched the character into the game. Now I can't get admin back. I usually don't play as an admin but will give my character admin privileges when needed (like when someone gets bit by an invisible zombie and I need to give them /godmod or something). This is all very frustrating. If there is no admin, how do you set access levels? Edit Edit: Tried to modify the db file for the server to grant myself admin priveleges and now I'm banned. My nerd rage is overflowing at the moment. EDIT EDIT EDIT: EnigmaGrey helped me solve this. I had to delete my server.db. This unbanned my SteamID and I was prompted upon launching the server to create a new admin account!
  2. 296. Large propane tanks that we can fill small BBQ propane tanks from. Large propane tanks are quite common in rural areas as they are often used for home heating. With the addition of metal working, metal workers are limited to their ability to find propane - which is a finite resource on the map. It is the only profession that is limited in this way. Carpentry, cooking, farming, first aid, fishing, electrician, foraging, trapping, etc all have renewable resources.
  3. 294. Should not be able to eat frozen food while frozen. Can you imagine trying to eat a frozen potato or cabbage? 295. Re-word combining units of wire. Right now it says 'pour into' which doesn't make much sense when combining two units of wire. (side note with this: I noticed that when combining items in your inventory the green progress bar in your inventory does not go away. To remedy this you need to move it to a container or backpack then back to your inventory).
  4. Other than wind, what would there be in winter? I agree that bugs buzzing and birds chirping aren't very realistic in winter.
  5. Crates that are painted do not stay painted after restarting the server. I will post on the bug tracker as well.
  6. I've got a question on metalworking. We have a player on our server who started as a metal worker. He is now level 5 metalworking and wants to build a "big wired fence" but can not. He has all of the materials, but can not place the fence and actually build it. It always remains red and can not be placed on any tile. When selecting the 'big wired fence' from his metalworking context menu, it shows all the necessary ingredients and the ingredients are all green. Just when trying to actually place the fence it remains red on every tile. He can build other metalworking objects like 'small wired fences' etc just not the big ones. Anyone have any insight or solutions?
  7. In a perfect world, you should avoid drinking rain water until you've had a chance to purify it. Every drop of rain that falls has a condensation nuclei that it forms around. These can be dirt, pollution, bacteria, parasites, viruses, etc. Don't just take my word for it, here's a link to the CDC suggesting the same: http://www.cdc.gov/healthywater/drinking/private/rainwater-collection.html
  8. Its over my head, but I think most of us would love a way to preserve meats. Salting, drying, smoking, etc.
  9. I haven't tried to use the pots, mugs, etc to collect rain water. Haven't had the need yet I'm not sure there is a use for empty tin cans yet, but hopefully in the future we can set up tin can traps to make noise of approaching zombies/players. Are you asking how long it takes to make compost from rotten food? For me I think it was around 2 weeks or so (I didn't time it exactly, but it was around that). I hope it doesn't actually reproduce rotten food
  10. https://projectzomboid.com/blog/2016/09/smash-n-grab/ Mondoid states: "You can’t turn on a dime with the new animations" Uh oh!
  11. I did not have the option to do what LlostSoul said. I can not interact with the compost bin that way. LlostSoul did you have a shovel equipped to do this or anything? I simply put the rotting veggies (no meats/dairy - I don't know if you can leave them in or not, but for realism/testing I made sure they were not in there) in the compost bin and waited. Eventually the compost bin sprite changed to show compost in it. Once that happened I was able to collect compost with an empty dirt bag.
  12. I think (don't quote me) that in the animations update we won't be able to 'radar'. I thought I read that somewhere. Hopefully something like what you've suggested will be added. I thought I read that you won't be able to 'turn on a dime', if that means the same sort of thing.
  13. Update: I did eventually get compost. I wish I knew exactly how long it took, but I estimate it was roughly 2 weeks in game or so. Eventually a sprite showed up in compost bin indicating I had compost available. An empty dirt bag and a trowel was all I needed to 'harvest' it.
  14. RJ are you working on the admin commands that are currently unavailable? Last night we had a player get bit by a 'non-existant' zombie (that's what the server console said). The zombie appeared to be invisible. Normally when bugs like this injure a player we'all use /godmod to cure them since bugs shouldn't be how you died. However, that command no longer seems to work. I would post the console log of the bite, but I got called away on a work trip today and won't be home for a number of days.
  15. Nevermind I moved my wood stove and now it too no longer works.
  16. Weird my wood stove works perfectly fine. I think we moved it sometime early in build 35.
  17. Not sure, we found the charcoal. Server has been around since build 2X.XX something. It could be left over from many builds ago. However, the sprite for charcoal updated in build 35.
  18. I have charcoal in build 35.17d and was able to fuel my BBQ. It could be left over from build 34 though.
  19. I built a compost bin outside, completely filled it with rotten vegetables/foods (no meat, dairy, etc) and have waited for what I think is a week or two. Still no compost. There is no sprite to indicate that there is anything in the compost bin. I have an empty dirt bag in my inventory and a trowel. Do I need a shovel instead? I know that composting can take a long time IRL, I just wanted to check to see how long it is supposed to take in game. Am I doing something wrong? Or has it just not been long enough? Didn't know if I was experiencing a bug or something.
  20. 266. Clothes lines to dry our towels faster. We have sturdy sticks, rope, and nails. Why not hang up your wet towels to dry them faster? We could also just throw them on a fence to dry faster too. Right now it seems like towels dry very slowly. It can take days for a towel that I left near a wood stove to dry. Wouldn't having them near a heat source help them dry faster? My bath towel IRL dries itself everyday hanging in my bathroom. Wet clothes a thing in the future?
  21. When transferring soup from a pot into bowls, you loose the thirst reduction.
  22. Minor Bug: Soup 'weight' does not decrease if you consume a portion of it. Soup weighs 4, if you drink half it still weighs 4.
  23. 264. Add fuel to the generator while it is running. 265. Use a cold pack to reduce pain from broken bones.
