I'm sure some one will make a mod for it, but Indie Stone done said no to the kid thing. I think it was somewhere on the fourms (which I guess is now gone?) However, I do think it would be interesting to see how players react differently to finding a kid alone in a house than say a adult. Where some players would have killed the adult they may spare the kid or even take them along to try and protect the kid. I think many of you are forgetting that the addition of kids wouldn't just mean zombie kids, it would also mean harder and more emotion driven choices. You would have to make the choice of killing someone when you're surrounded by a horde of zombies or waiting to see if some group will come by and rescue you from them. In that situation you must make that choice, and it may be easier to make with a group of adults rather than a child. However, I do strongly agree that there should not be kids in the vanilla game. It's too big of a risk for them to take, it could potentially destroy their reputation and prevent countless people even looking at the game let alone buying it.
